...

novablock.com

I have no interest in mining with them, but I am interested in hearing about them from any of you members here at BTCtalk who have worked with or communicated with them.  They are a "fairly small" mining pool that wins between 1 and 4 blocks per day (the pie chart of hashpower page at blockchain.info will show their recent results).  I have two ideas, "half-baked" for the moment, that I would like to explore with them.  They have two emails for inquiries (if you poke around their website you can find them), and in due course I just might if they are interested and legitimate (looks like they are).

They apparently do take people who want to mine, but that is not what I am interested in.

Many thanks for any comments, whether in this thread or by PM.

The Bitcoin network protocol was designed to be extremely flexible. It can be used to create timed transactions, escrow transactions, multi-signature transactions, etc. The current features of the client only hint at what will be possible in the future.

I mined with them for a week or so when they first started - pay was comparable to that I was receiving on viaBTC - I was mining both pools at the same time for comparison.

Thanks for the reply!

Were they professional and welcoming?  I have a couple of ideas I am thinking about that do not involve mining, but do involve money.

yes - they were also very quick to respond usually - there was a couple days where they were not responsive, but I think that was because of a 3 day ban they received due to "spam" I think they messaged a miner who reported them for spam because of unsolicited PM's.

sure thing - I am sure others will chime in here as well - there were quite a few of us that tested their pool in their starting weeks. Eventually I went back to PPLNS though, I prefer that to PPS mining.

Hard to give you much to go on as my experience is in mining with them. Personally I had no issues and found them to be helpful and have good communication. I wouldn't really call them small an they definitely seem well connected so they my be a great incubator for your half-baked ideas.

OP of their ANN page is who I was in contact with so you may consider sending them a PM to get a more direct response. https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5183959.0
Good luck

Thanks to you both MoparMiningLLC and Steamtyme.

I'll keep mulling over my not-ready-for-primetime ideas and drop them a line.
