I believe a lot of people knows that Ethereum is a very good coin with a lot of potentials, and the past few days have really been a good one for it and the holders, but yet it doesn't have what it takes to overtake a coin like Bitcoin, it can only keep its position which it has been doing over other altcoins and not Bitcoin. About the POS upgrade, a lot is being expected and I think it's better waiting for it to be fully launched but however from the way it looks, it will be a good one, but until then let's keep our fingers crossed. The staking requirements looks much, but nevertheless until it is launched then a clearer picture can be seen.

Ethereum poised to potentially outperform top crypto coins in near future, with the way I'm sensing things it seem ethereum is becoming more bullish by every minutes, here are few questions for you crypto lovers
1. Can Ethereum take over?
2. What will happen after the POS upgrade?
3. How do you see the 32Eth requirements for staking?
32 ETH requirement is not much in my opinion any mid level crypto investor would be easily be able to afford that if they are in crypto since early this year. I don't think ETH would be able to take over BTC as the competitors are way advanced right now. |

I don't know why people keep dreaming about a take over. I'm not sure they even understand what they mean. Take over as the first coin? They cannot since time travel doesn't work. Get higher price for their coin than for Bitcoin? Well, for Ethereum that would mean a stronger and hungrier network, since history has shown that miners' costs are a big component of the price. Adding PoS into the equation ... made me laugh.  |

if many people use eth that can still lead to price increase . right now i see many people are praising eth because they heard eth are going for a new change . if your doubt eth wont have a high price then maybe your not aware of its history . if bitcoin is money then why not eth ? anything that have a value is consider as money but eth is the one that is more of a money because it has other use cases too . its not our business anymore if eth plans to take over other coins but id be happy to see that |

It doesn't matter a lot and i suggest you to take a look at the old chart when ethereum was taking over the bitcoin's position. ETH needs a big hype to give massive demand to the market that will be pushing the price to follow or compete with bitcoin. It can't be done just in a night and it's wrong if you are saying ethereum has no potential. |

I do not agree that etherum or any other token is planning a take over. Do not mix things up together. A etherum 2.0 upgrade is not to take over, but to make the etherum blockchain a better and more improved blockchain. I think staking is a choice, you either meet the requirements or not, staking is not about rules being fair |

I think that ethereum is trying to take over the other cryptocurrencies and I think that is great because ethereum is a nice alternate coin and I think that it will be great for those who invested in cryptocurrencies like ethereum becsuse they are sure to earn money with that investment that they invested and I hope that people would earn more with the coins in cryptocurrencies and bitcoin is good but we need to be assured in other coins that is emerging here now and I hope that people would earn with the investments that they created now in 2020 |

1. Unless Bitcoin ceases to exist, never. 2. I suspect that things won't go as planned (neither PoS nor sharding) and if some bugs or attacks occur, it will most certainly crash the price. 3. PoS as an idea has always been rich getting richer. But that's true for PoW, too. |

I'm positive that after the POS update ethereum will maintain good price stability probably around 400 to 500$ since many whales have interest in staking their eth, good call vitalik but Ethereum can't take over Bitcoin, this is too good to be real

Sorry to say Ethereum can't take over Bitcoin, never going to happen, Bitcoin is still well recognized than ethereum, this can only be possible if bitcoin fails and the only way that Bitcoin can fail is if people stop having interest in Bitcoin which isn't going to happen

if there is an ETH thought it can reach the top it is crazy thinking. therefore it is the same as hoping for the destruction of bitcoin and disappearance from the crypto market. if that happens I think it is the end of cryptocurrency and might be replaced by other technological systems that might be more transparent and faster. |

Nice arguments, I don't understand overtaking too. OP said overtaking top coins, but there's just bitcoin, so he probably means that ethereum can overtake bitcoin. Minimum of 32 eth for staking isn't much, we had a lot of time to earn or buy eth for much lower prices, personally I think its a good move, not everyone will be able to stake eth, there will be some order. When anyone can do it than that can be a real mess! In the end I share the same view like many, ethereum will stay where it is, on the top second place right behind top first bitcoin. |

Given the developments and upgrades going on with the Eth network, it's plied to become the most performed top cryptocurrency in the future. If you've studied the price movement in the past couple of days, no top altcoins has performed like it in terms of price growth. It's PoS upgrade will surge the price more.

If a lot of ethereums will be locked in the staking wallet and that will give a very big impact caused by these coins can't be unlocked before the owner have been passed the locked period. It's possible but it's not also an easy thing to happen. |

Take over on Bitcoin? I doubt that it will take a lot for Ethereum to do that About the POS upgrade, we have to see what's really going to happen, everything is just a speculation The 32th Eth requirements are too much for small-time investors like me but it's worth taking that. |

Ethereum has a lot going on its platform right now. The impending upgrade to ethereum 2.0 we are seeing bullish pattern in its platform. I don't see it overtaking BTC in the near future yet, but I think it has great potential. I am especially excited about how the crypto world will accept its proof of stake reward mechanism. The 32 eth staking amount is a bit big for me but there are always staking pools that would share part of the staking with you. with that, I think Eth is bullish right now. |
