Got this from here- https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5253472.msg54569964#msg54569964
It is not a new scam method but I learnt it today.
If you have filed dispute against any transaction, never close that as long as you do not get refund because you can not create any more dispute for the same transaction. It seems that scammers do this very often so that they can scam and get away from refunding the fund.
See the linked thread above, OP was scammed for $10, seller himself asked to create dispute, then again asked to close the dispute and he will refund but later he did not keep any more contact.

Thanks for sharing with us your experience. Its really a very classic scam method but most strong.
So we all should make transection with the trusted and high ranked users in this forum not to a newbie. But people make a mistake when they saw greedy offer from a newbie.I think we should add dispute details here for beginners.

Here I am posting a way how to put dispute properly [Official Guidelines] :

How do I open a dispute with a seller when a purchase goes wrong?

You can either read details about disputes from PayPal official announcement:

Disputes, claims, chargebacks, and bank reversals.

I have very good experience with Paypal refund.
They have very strict policy about any scam and if you can prove to them that you didn't get the product or service you paid for, (with Paypal) you'll get a refund from them.
Several times I had to run a dispute on paypal and every time I received a refund, even when the opposing side avoided the answer.
Scammers know this well and unfortunately use tricks to avoid refunds.
There is of course another option if you mistakenly close the dispute to Paypal and you paid by credit card via Paypal.
You can ask chargeback in your bank.

First of all by reading the attached reference about dispute. If I were the one dealing with it. I will be worried and wonder on why the seller will request to dispute and cancel it. That's already a big turn off for me no matter what his reason because if he is a legit seller, he will deal directly base on our agreement without any extra requests or something.

I deal tons of user here in forum including newbies in the marketplace and many try to attempt scam. The only thing I always consider here when dealing was to make sure that the guy you are negotiating is a straight up guy in terms of conversation and maintain the same attitude until the end of the deal. Never go first unless the guy you are dealing with is a confirmed trusted.

Whoever do trade with paypal must have known the dispute policy of paypal. May be that guy is new with paypal or didn't know about the dispute policy at all. Seller's behavior itself was scammy. It has been happening for a long time.

Paypal is usually very customer-friendly, meaning if there's any customer dispute, the money would probably go to the customer.

Thanks for the tip. I once opened a dispute because seller didn't want to publish my guest post, he asked me to close my dispute and we will settle everything without customer support, but I didn't believe him.
Don't believe the words, just beleive the actions!

First of all avoid dealing with someone for trading on social media like telegram, just use the official bitcointalk PM so user can never delete them even if they do,you have some proof to show to the community.
