IEOs from the reputed exchange gave good returns for the short term investors but most of the long investors failed to make profits from it that is why we don't have to completely trust a projects based on the exchange which is promoting it.

I think for me exchange doesn't really matter bit the product itself is what matter. If the product has use case, reputable exchanges would be attracted to it. So you are right, I don't really consider exchange a lot.before investing.

Investors should have that kind of mindset so they will not be duped by these scammers. I prefer also for the project to have working app or product before conducting any crowdsourcing as most of them end up on well-written whitepapers only. Exchange is just only a means where they can collect funds, but the real development depends on the team themselves.

I agree that choose trusted and popular exchanges for investment in IEO. Because exchanges that have been mentioned in
the opening post promote some profitable IEO projects, although there are still some IEO projects that have failed. Because

i think the word worst is different from a scam  . they can be worst because they have issues but they arent totally scamming  . some of them are not just popular  .

You're absolutely correct, the above mentioned exchange conducting IEOs doesn't give a full green light into your investment with them, let's be more careful when dealing with these exchanges with their IEOs. Sometimes years back I make some ceiling mistakes and till now I regretted my actions and nothing I can do because its past and I have learned my errors. I rather choose an existing coins to invest into than new projects with their coins.

the only difference between ICO and IEO is that they change the middle letter from C to E and then instead of paying the bounty hunters on bitcointalk to advertise their scam they are paying a big exchange a lot more money to advertise their scam. in the end they are both the same exact thing, a completely useless token that is used to raise funds for someone (the creator) to become rich in a blinking of an eye and the rest of the gamblers investors to lose their money.

Worst is "sort of" scamming. Think about an exchange that has a lot of troubles, it is lagging so you are not doing trading at right speed, it has withdrawal issues so it charges more than it should while still not profiting but because of incompetence, it has pump and dumps that it can't stop, it has fake volume of some small coins to make it look like it is big but exchange doesn't realize this.

Many things could be seen as website not scamming people and actually trying their best but since they are horrible it causes people to lose a ton of money. That is still scam, if you are not going to do it properly, just leave and do something else, not everyone has to start an exchange, if you are not going to do it properly, just don't do it at all and move on.

I do not think so. The IEO is still a speculative form and everything has its risks. IEOs at big exchanges are usually very successful such as Binance, Huobi, Okex, Bitmax, Poloniex, etc. As for small exchanges, we should be wary. because these exchanges often choose bad projects to implement IEO and the possibility of investing in losses is very high. Exchange is also a matter too when we are going to invest on an IEO because reputated exchange will make the project to get more recognized but the projects which are promoted by random exchange has less chance of success rate even if it is unique and high use case.

From that list, I think Binance, KuCoin, OKEx, Bittrex deserve to follow but we still need to be careful because we never know if the project is good enough or not to survive and compete with the other coins. It is hard for the project itself because the project needs to give the best things for their investor so they can get more investor. Who does not know the big and popular exchanges as you mentioned, of course everyone wants to invest there with a newly launched project, but we have difficulty finding such and rarely do projects that do IEO in large exchanges and one of them is to wait for the right time where they will come with a happy announcement.

I don't see Latoken and Probit as popular and trusted maybe popular IEO exchange for sh*tcoins. Almost all IEO that conducts there is 50 to 90 percent dump after listing and not really good. Binance is indeed good but people will small amount of funds cannot participate even you have the funds it is not guaranteed because their IEO is lottery-style it is purely base on luck but almost all of their projects are profitable.

It is risky to participate in ieo without large exchanges. This can make you a victim of scams. There was a time when ico hype was created so that a lot of people were victims of scams. The main reason for this was that they invested without proper verification.
