Latvia’s parliament has passed a bill which allows all legal casinos to begin their operations from 9th June, and with this bill they have ended the state emergency which was put in place to tackle covid19.

It’s pertinent to note that not all Latvian leaders were happy about this bill, and they submitted an updated bill to uphold the ban on land based casinos, but their bill was rejected by the parliament.

Also the UK government has given permission for casinos to resume their operations from 4th of July, and I hope both these countries don’t regret their decision, as it’s clear that they’re choosing money over people's life’s.

Lastly around 25 US states too have opened their casinos for their citizens, and this is scary and really sad because US is badly effected by Covid19, but yet they’re prioritising revenue over their citizens life’s.

For me, it's okay for countries with a low number of COVID cases to reopen businesses such as land-based casinos cause I believe they can handle it when they reopen. Though I understand that countries can't stop everything for months because of the economy, but those who countries who are facing so much struggle with the pandemic, it will be such a big risk to reopen non-essential businesses.

If casinos really need to open their business and employees need to go to work, it's up to the gamblers if they want to risk their health just to gamble or not. Once they open casinos, no one will force them to gamble or not, so if it's okay for them to go to a land-based casino, they just need to be extra careful with the environment and people around them.

As life is in the process of normalization, we see that such businesses are starting to open.  Although it is not right to open such businesses, these businesses should now operate.  In addition, there is a fact that people can get infected in the market or in casinos.  I think the probability of getting this virus in both environments is very close.  For this reason, it should not be interpreted unilaterally that these businesses are operational again.

There are 1088 cases confirmed in Latvia with 781 recovered patients. In UK, there are 287K confirmed cases and 40K death rate.

Though it's still risky to reopen, they have to do it because it might be a beginning of an economic collapse if they won't agree to run businesses in the country. As we all know, government is depending in the tax and casinos are one of the main contributor of tax.



Looking upon the statistics, I amazed how Latvia handled the COVID-19. For me, it's better for them to open since the number of cases and recoveries doesn't have a long gap.

There would be sacrifices and we cant really expect for us to play in that full normal that we do get used to when we do play into these places.If there are adjustments made then that do normally connects about on the current pandemic situation.Owners are fully aware and im sure that before they do able to re-open up their business there are set of rules and regulations that need to be followed on.

2nd wave is likely to happen specially now where people are already going outside because most of countries now do lift that quarantine state. I do anticipate that numbers would really explode out on

1088 only ? i dont know if that numbers were small or huge enough because i already forgot the stats of other countries as well as to those that are on the epicenters of the virus but i know that u.s were tagged as one of the epicenters of the virus lately so i wouldnt let them operate gambling yet  . to some countries that covid rate is low maybe they can give exception to that because gamblers are also waiting and now verry eager to play especially those who are onto sports betting  .

It will trigger more cases of Pandemic as many will do socialising and may have contact to some infected. But life must go on since there's no vaccine available yet, and the economy needs to revive. This bill is about physical casinos reopening, right? So it doesn't have to do anything with online casinos, let alone crypto casinos? So if it affects crypto casinos at all, it's probably in a bad way as people who stopped playing in physical casinos and turned to online ones for the time of the quarantine might be getting back.
I honestly don't understand people who prefer real casinos. People there see you, criminals can be hanging around, and you might get robbed after a big win because many people will know you won. Online casinos are so much safer and more comfortable. And during the pandemic it's still probably too soon to go to a physical casino.
