Agree on this part, I think some or most of the newbies are first heard Bitcointalk forum just for earning some bitcoins or earn money.
This should not be. This is also one of the reasons why they will leave the Bitcointalk forum for being banned or left the forum because they can't earn money.
Learning on this forum is very the best, I can tell it, I started with nothing but this forum help me a lot about Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies.

Its good you understand the importance of learning here more than just airdrop and bounty. Soon you could rank up to higher position but its always much better to go on that situation where you already done on the learning process. Not so hard to cope with different rules here as long as you read and understand all of it.

You can see that most high rank members here will always answer and helo newbies with different question even its so simple. But if the question is way much simple, help yourself cause using search engine is not that hard to pull off. Only post those thing you are havjng hard time to understand.

That is why I always drop here to support his page and newbies who have concern on how the forum works and the many issues on the community and the, we also recommend newbies to start here and on meta before roaming a lot, I understand they also want to learn how to make money or learn how to invest correctly, but things like this do not happen in an instant.

If you wants to earn here please educate yourself first; learn from more experience members.
In such way you will learn faster and receive more benefits from this forum.

No, I report right away. A forum is a discussion board to talk to each other, to meet people and debate. When you see a newbie joining only for the sake of spamming to rank up, participate in bounties, and distribute blowjobs all over the forum with useless topics I'm not very inclined to do anything

They all waste my time reading thousands of shit comments, destroy interesting discussions and so on.

That is a good hope, but you need to know that all beginners will never be ignored in forum if they really want to learn. Beginners will be warmly welcomed by forum member and they will get the right guide if they want to read it. See some of the topic that have been pinned on the beginners & Help board. Isnt that proof that the forum and its member welcome all beginners to get proportional knowledge ?

There is no problem if the beginner comes to the forum because of money because the forum still provides the right place for them, the bounty board and other. But if they just spend all their time there without engaging in constructive discussion, then rest assured they will continue to be ranked the same in the long run. No one would give them a higher rating if it wasnt for the quality of posts and contribution to forums and user.

Actually, this will depend on what kind of old members right here. However, I personally believe that most old members will do the same, helping newbies to be good members of this forum. Each of us will really not want that this forum is fulfilled by the newbies that only come here by asking how to earn money free without willing to learn. Therefore, for newbies, they are provided this section board, special for Beginners & Help. The existence of this board actually proves how this forum really welcomes the newbies. Every newbie can find and read the basic information to be good members, how to start, and other important information that they have to do. What they need is by reading and understanding them at first. We are sure that most old members will help them if they really want to learn and be good members here. However, how the members treat the newbies may be different ways. Some people may be able to tel and guide the newbies in finer ways and explain them in detail. But some will probably tell it in a tone that is quite loud. But this does not matter. As long as what is intended is good, then just take the learning.

Well, I know probably they are not familiar with this forum and they may not know about the section board of beginner. However, even they have been told about this section and what to do, some of them ignore and don't give any replies. This is so silly. Moreover about the newbies that come here and ask about how to cash out or how to earn money free from this forum.
I suggest that if you are a newbie here, what your first goal is never asking about how to cash out or earn money first. try to be a good member right here. Try to learn more about what to do in this forum in order to be a good member and give contribution well. If you are doing it, I'm sure that many old members will help you to rank up and next, you will get your won moment to earn money.

Actually, I said so because this is also my experience, I become shitposters only to come here for earning money at the beginning. I never bothered about various suggestions and rules on how to become a good member. all I did was only for fulfilling posts for a project. And this was wrong. Once we think only for that, then we will become shitposters.

PS: Many old members care of the newbies and many of them help the newbies to be good members. I know it, we can find many great members with their inspiring experiences and track records in this forum.

The merit system is one of the barriers that avoids those beginners' greediness to earn money at the start.

Add this "how to rank up fast".  

Those are the beginners that's attracted by those contents on YT and Reddit or even any social media platforms, that they can earn here.

New users always want to be spoonfed, they lack the willingness to search for the information they wanted to know. And obviously, they want to rank quickly for a higher bounty rate because if their real intentions were to discuss, research, or other informative topics that might help in their innovations, they won't ask about it.

If you are going for an interview, you will first know about the history of the company that are interviewing you. Newbies are not to be corrected, they have to be banned as they have to have read the rules of the forum in order to escape ban. Most of the corrections are in the unofficial rules of Bitcointalk.  Said this because most newbies spam and like plagiarising.

But if they show seriouseness by not spamming or plagiarizing, and they post meaningful contents, then, if they make mistake, they are usually corrected and they should listen.

In my long and painfully drawn out life I have learnt that hardly anyone is interested in advice, let alone take it on board and actually act on it. They have to figure it out for themselves. It's quite obvious that shitposting will get you nowhere and more than likely get you nuked. That's plain from the moment you arrive here. If you can't work that out very rapidly then I ain't going to correct your ways. Maybe you'll have better luck with the next account, if you don't get nailed for ban evasion.

If you want to get ahead pay attention from the off. All these people pining for merits have the solution staring them in the face - click on everyone's merit scores and see what posts attract it.

Very well said, for all the beginners out there, you should be willing to learn something, the purpose of this forum is to have a discussion about cryptocurrency and blockchain, so you should here first to gain knowledge that is what's on your mind, if you are here with the intention of earning money, you will not improve. The earnings here are just our bonus. There are many online jobs, freelance, etc. that you can try to earn money if you want.

Gaining knowledge is really important because that is our asset if you have more knowledge you have an advantage to others, you can use that knowledge to become a better person.

I'm not against with this because this is one of our goal on our forum which is helping each other especially the newbies but sometimes they are getting too much lazy and asking for the thing that they can easily found out by just exploring our forum which is we are going to avoid giving too much spoon-feeding to them and also we need to maintain the good quality of the outputs and information we are giving and sharing to our forum.

I came from a newbie that asking how to get merits and how to found out information, give some time to your self as an investment to explore the things we have on the forum also try to be unique and creative that even no one on the entire members created this thing, if you become one of these creative people and share on our forum with also benefits with other members the merits will come that is more easier to you to rank up and join to the campaigns.

One of the important things to remember is that you never know who is on the other end of an account, nor their intentions. I guess the reason why many newbies getting banned or reported is because bitcointalk forum and bitcoin is introduced to them in a wrong way that is why many newbies only creatd threads and ask if where can I earn money and how can I earn money here in bitcointalk. I never see any platform in the internet where you can find like this bitcointalk community. I feel proud to be a member of this forum. And I see most (about more than 98%)  of the higher  rank member in this forum don't be late to help the newbies. Other platform im the internet, like youtube, fiverr, upwork etc you can not find someone who will protect you if anything wrong happen with you. But here all the members are friendly and always helping each other.

Newbies made a common mistake due to their greed. And other common mistake is thinking this forum as a income source from the beginning. Thus they make couple of accounts and do something against the forum rules. Then got banned. Keep in mind that you will not be banned for invalid reason. So read all the rules first (all the newbie) and always keep constructive youself. Hope nothing bad will happen with you guys.

I think newbies should start looking for stickies (and hey admins, please update your stickies as well, because old information has become outdated and many new things as well as rules have been implemented, so please put them all collectively and let the newbies know about those very small, but basic things like plagiarism bans, bans for giveaway participants just like we suffered, bans for unsolicited PMs and threats, etc.)

Helping and guiding people that are new in cryptocurrency, blockchain, and here in BitcoinTalk Forum could help newbies to reach their goals and enhance their knowledge in cryptocurrency, that is why we should treat each other as one. Another thing to be wary of is becoming too dependent on earnings on here once you get those opportunities.

I've seen quite a few people talking about giving up their normal jobs and going 'full time' on here. If you did that in 2017 you would've thought you were set for life. A few short months later the shitcoin/ shittoken /shitfork /airdrop/ scene died on its arse and you'd have no earnings and what you had earnt would be worthless.

I've also seen people say they pay their rent with their sig campaign earnings. Sig campaigns can die after many years of successful operation without any warning at all.

Things change fast in cryptoland. Plan accordingly.

People don't listen and they don't learn until they get a lesson rammed up them. Crypto is pure boom and bust. I'll bet plenty of hardened observers lost their shit and started plans for their paper gains in 2017 too.

Sure there are a lot of newbies that are giving a good post or opinion to a lot of topics here. And most of the time they are not getting ignored for some of the members at least.

Many thing that cause beginner cant post quality thing on the forum and one of them is the ability of the brain to absorb knowledge. An educated person might be able to gradually improve the quality of their post even if they end up not being expert. But for those who lack learning ability, they will find it difficult to absorb and improve quality even though many suggestion have been given.

You are right, even though beginners have an important part in the forum but if they only post things that are not useful and waste a lot of time other users continuously then you should also know that ignoring them is not prohibited.

Sure there are a lot of newbies that are giving a good post or opinion to a lot of topics here. And most of the time they are not getting ignored for some of the members at least.

We can't really blame high ranks for ignoring some of the members or newbies because there are so many spammer or low-quality posters from newbies, but as long as they have a quality post and stay active I think it would be good to go.

I think Newbies are not getting ignored and those who are good quality posters they quickly move up to Jr. Members and Members rank and do not stay at the Newbie rank for a long time. Also there are many giveaway threads which gives newbies merits based on their posts.

Every dude here is keen to learning new things, innovate it and start growing it. It would have been better for newbies and beginners to study the boards for about 3 months before posting. Every student needs to be attentive for their betterment as well giving out the best in them in the future time. To be patient, innovative, growing are the key factors here.
There are millions of users here which would be impossible for senior ranks to correct each and every newbies everyday, which I think it's can't be done. It's the purpose of beginners to have a good study on the boards before starting to create posts.

There are already tons of threads and good ones from Senior members of the forum too but the problem is that newbies do not follow the steps mentioned in those guides. They are looking for the short cuts and indeed there is no shortcut to obtain merits.

If you want to get merits you need to have two qualities.

1- You are a quality poster
2- You have patience.

You can't achieve everything right away,  without time and effort invested 
I advice new members to write freely and without constant thinking about merits.
Just be yourself, learn, help others and merits will come.

Members please always try as much as possible to help for fellow newbies, correct them so they won't get ban, give them hopes so they can have some courage left in them, I was once a shit poster until few high ranking members makes me change my ways, don't ignore newbies

I can proudly say that I do. I mean, let's say I'm more of the compassionate type of guy . I am always willing to give the best answer I could offer for them, there are also instances that I warn them for doing the wrong way instead of reporting to the mods directly, I seldom use sarcastic reactions on obvious/absurd questions as well.

However, every newbie should understand that every single member here are not based in their ideals, they cannot please them all the time. They will encounter people here with various personalities thus they have no choice but to deal with it. The best advice I could give is don't be butthurt, keep patient, don't take things personal — get ready to learn the easy way or the hard way.

When I was new in this forum I was in a hurry to make money because back then there are a lot of opportunities and they are real projects or coins that are now the top coins in the market, I was spamming to much until I was tagged by a senior member for posting a lot in a short period of time.
I learned my lesson and the one who tagged me give me another chance and from then on I tried to contribute than making redundant posts.

Not just newbies, mate. Even high-ranking members who are stucked in their Meritdrops, they should also start reading this kind of guide so that they can set an example for lower ranking members. Most new members was recommended by old members like them, so new members just follow in their footsteps too. That is why, it is difficult to find new members who are constructive.

In this case, why does every guide on improving post quality only aimed to newbies?
The guide writers should change their perspective for a moment that implicitly every member who only has meritdrops can also be considered a newbie.
