Banco Hipotecario, a state-owned bank that is currently responding to the changes in Bitcoin regulation,
is hosting the first Bitcoin Bankathon to explore how financially inclusive services can be delivered in Web3.

We are welcoming developers, designers and entrepreneurs across the world to conceptualize and build new applications
on a technology platform that is provided by four industry leaders ⁠—  API3, Open Bank Project, Qredo and Sovryn.

Less than 5 days until the Bitcoin Bankathon goes live!

We are inviting developers, designers and entrepreneurs across the globe to participate in the first Bitcoin Bankathon to solve real-world problems by conceptualizing and building financial applications on Web3.

The hackathon lasts from November 19th till December 8th and contains prizes worth of 250,000 USD. Participation is possible online or on-site in El Salvador.

Building on RSK, any language that compiles to the EVM is supported. This includes Solidity, Julia, and new or experimental programming languages such as Vyper.

Bitcoin is suppose to disrupt the Bank system.. not helping it to defeat or replace Bitcoin.    Satoshi Nakamoto saw how the Banks were allowed to f#$up and then get several government bailouts to rescue them.. so he developed Bitcoin to disrupt them. (or give people an alternative) ....now Banks are trying to kill Bitcoin with it's own technology.. (scary)
