if this happens, meaning we are in real mass crypto adoption.  But I believe that before this come to reality there will be more time is needed also an attempt of others to replace PayPal dominion.

Do not rely on this, it's just a news that could or could not happen, Yesterday news broke regarding the strong possibility that PayPal and Venmo, the two notable fintech companies are both moving to add direct crypto and Bitcoin trading capabilities to their users, what do you think will happen if this comes true??? I like the fact that this is happening and DeFi projects are doing their thing too

Isn't the government regulation one strong proof that mass adoption is happening?  The government won't waste time on things that won't have a major effect on its country.  The plans, and talks of those Big company thinking to join the industry is another proof.  Some institutions already joined and adopt some of the available cryptocurrencies in the market.  If that is not the sign of mass adoption, what would it be?

I think it's a welcome development for such a thing to happen at this period of time,it's an indication that cryptocurrency is gradually taking over the entire financial world of business. In fact with bitcoin interface in these two payment company means massive adoption of cryptocurrency

But again Paypal is not joining cryptocurrencies in a way that we will accept Bitcoin or making it better. We are creating our business based on a new cryptocurrency that will be probably centralized, full of cool buzzwords, but that's all. Similar to Libra, and the result? It's not even the cryptocurrency  Cheesy.

It is expected that the companies that rely on money transmission should accept bitcoin or cryptocurrencies in general to maintain the userbase and if they are not adopting to the increasing demand they might loose customers and knowing that they will start accepting cryptocurrency and it is only a matter of time all the online based companies start accepting it.

There is not much to say when it comes to crypto mass adoption but that is also not to say that there has not been any single development when it comes to that. currently, there are many bitcoin atms and also some marketplace online have started accepting cryptocurrrencies as a payment method. The future is certainly bright for the adoption of cryptocurrencies in the long run.

PayPal is hiring crypto engineers I believe they are working on either their own blockchain or the integration of other cryptocurrency or how they can utilized different blockchains to running their system. So either way, it's a welcome development in cryptocurrency but I like to believe if they're working on their own blockchain it will be centralized.

If that is happen in a short time, Paypal member can have a chance to try crypto that integrate into their dashboard, and I think that help the adoption among the Paypal user.
We know that Paypal has a huge member in many countries, just imagine if 20% of the Paypal user is also use crypto to pay whatever they bought, that will make the crypto have a growth in the number of the people who uses crypto.
If many of them recommend using crypto for their friends, they can invite more users to come to the crypto industry, and that means we will have new adopters for cryptocurrency.

actually there is crypto projects which really adopt their token to popular stores. take a look at storm which is rebranding its name to stmx . many popular stores already have rellation with them, customer will get cashback if shoping using storm app and pay it with storm token. i think its good start for crypto adoption for our daily online shopping. we will get several benefits from it.

There will be no replacement for PP and it will never happen as PP is even working to add crypto too. That means PP will help crypto to get massive adoption too.
If this is a true story and then we will see a huge pump for crypto.

PayPal will not implement crypto like Bitcoin and others, they are planning to build their own crypto coin, probably a Centralized token that will represent PayPal Digitally, that's all, don't get your hopes too high, let's wait for more announcement

Considering that point, there's still reflections inside crypto market knowing that another big name company
will join in to this space.
Though we knew that it's purely business and if Paypal is looking inside it's  a good sign that more businesses
will also adopt this system.
For now, we need to wait for further announcement and know what's the deal inside, it's better to wait for more
detailed information in regards to this news.

As long as they are done in well decentralized manner.
Doesn't really mean much  if the new users aren't benefitting from the important features of Blockchain/cryptocurrency. Things like this could simply make the idea behind cryptocurrency meaningless if they become too common in the future.
For safety reasons, I think it will eventually be very necessary to create a distinction between centralized and decentralized things in Crypto space

The crypto mass adoption is already adopted by many of the shoppers and the online stores from the year of 2017 when the bull market was running. You know that Amazon the online store giant has already adopted the Bitcoin payment for the many economy. There also almost all of the E-wallet has added the crypto payment system for the deposit and withdraw of the funds which enable the users get cash at your local banks in a few minutes. For exa- Neteller, Skirl, E-payments etc.

Crypto mass adoption is working gradually either with PayPal or not, every year it keeps getting better, I still don't believe that PayPal will start accepting cryptos through their system because they are centralized company, that will be difficult, I'm suggest they will come out with PayPal coin instead, just like how Libra works for Facebook

What I think? I think if this happens, then it will be really massive and a big win for the crypto space, therefore showing yet again that no matter what was said about crypto, the underlying technology has come to stay and there is no going back; so it would be better the world start embracing it. On the aspect of Defi, it is also a good one so far owing to the good success recorded so far from projects under Defi like Compound etc. Lastly, the pandemic affected a lot of things but with Defi and probably this news, we might experience new and positive things or growth in days to come..

This is great news. PayPal is a famous company and if ever they implement to launch crypto payment on their platform that would just increase their clients and customers. Most users are now familiar with this, and I can see a win win situation if thats happen. But Im clueless whether this will be a centralized or decentralized approach. I do hope government would not think of any issues if this will occur.

Well, this type of news is common and usually is not true... I have been reading about this kind of stuff for years now...
These large companies are looking to improve their profits and the crypto market and supposed digital adoption are unexplored domains for them to find new ways of profiting... it seems that these giants will rather build their own centralized controled "cryptos" than adopt something like BTC, just look at facebook...
So, if they will accept btc, this will be good news.... if they are building their own asset it is not so good news
