In my continuing quest to bring Bitcoin into the real world, I've struck a deal with a local rancher who raises only organic cattle and pigs to provide me with product. The cows and pigs (eventually, chickens too as I understand it) are all feed 100% organic feed and NO HORMONES OR DRUGS are ever used.

Will ship anywhere in the world (you pay shipping) and will guarantee freshness.

Good luck with that there are a myriad of crazy regulations regarding the importation of food stuffs worldwide...

I'm aware of that and all meat or other products shipped will be in compliance. I've done my homework and so has the rancher providing the meat.

This is something that has serious potential. A few years ago my parents bought half a cow and a pig from a local organic farmer and it was some of the best meat we've ever had. I'm not sure how difficult it would be to receive these products cross country though. Some details would be nice. Any chance of you building a website like Bitbrew? It would be nice to simply click and order.

Is the organic beef grain fed or grass fed? If grass fed are they grass finished? Easy shipping to California?

I completely agree: it is indeed some of the best meat out there. Completely different and richer tasting than regular old store bought meat filled with hormones and chemicals.

Since I'm not sure what folks are looking for, what kinds of details would you like? I'm considering building a site to showcase the offerings and maybe just let people order via Bitcoin right off of there. Good idea!

Good questions! I'll ask him tomorrow when I see him. I'm pretty sure they're grass fed but I'm not sure about being grass finished. I'll get that info and get back to you.  Shipping to Cali shouldn't be a problem.

i can attest.  I woked in a restaurant that served only organic meats and the real standout were the steaks.  Delmonico/ribeye steaks from organic beef are noticably more tender and richer in flavor than store bought counterparts. i'm subscribing to this thread unfortunately i don't have enough btc at present to get any but that could change in the future.  i'd recommend an organic steak to anyone who considers themselves a steak lover!
