LYR TOKENS
Lyra “native” tokens (Lyra.LYR, or simply LYR) will be used by the network for authorizer nodes voting and paying a fee for certain types of transactions. LYR tokens will be distributed through the upcoming faucet, airdrop, and bounties.
In the future, Lyra users and third party developers might need to purchase LYR tokens from the market in order to run their applications.

LYR is not a real money, it’s not even cryptocurrency per se – we just have to have it to kick off Lyra network to enable DPoS, jump start network activities, and incentivize network and application development. While it will retain its voting and governance power, it might be eventually supplemented by real fiat and crypto currencies (their Lyra surrogates, actually) as a payment method for some transaction types.

Phase 2: Crypto Payment Acceptance

How Lyra payments work
Lyra processes crypto payments similar to how PayPal processes payments online with a linked bank account: a customer (buyer) deposits funds to a Lyra account, then these funds can be instantly transferred to another customer (merchant). If cryptocurrency supports instant transactions, then the entire process of deposit and payment can be combined into one instant transaction (similar to PayPal payment with linked credit card).

LYRA’s Delegated Proof-of-Stake

Several successful attempts have been made to eliminate proof-of-work and fully replace it with proof-of-stake. Several “high-ranking” crypto projects (EOS, Tezos, Lisk, BitShares, Nano, Ark) have implemented a delegated proof-of-stake (DPOS), or based their consensus mechanism on DPOS principles (Cardano). In DPOS all participants can vote for a few nodes by delegating their coin balances to the nodes they trust. The more votes (the greater stake balance) the node receives, the higher its position and the possibility of being elected as an authorizing node.

It is preferable that the voting currency has a finite supply and be fairly distributed among the network participants. Lyra tokens will be used as the voting token. Account holders can vote for an authorizer by their account balance. Each voting account is linked to a particular authorizer. The dividends come from transaction fees which the authorizer earns by participation in the authorization process. This way, all users are motivated to vote as they participate in Lyra rewards sharing, i. e. account holders become stakeholders of the Lyra system.

In traditional centralized payment systems such as Visa or PayPal, the earnings are received by the corporation that owns the network, and some part is distributed to shareholders. In LYRA, all the earnings are shared directly between the authorizers and voting account holders, with no corporate bureaucracy in the middle.

Brief update on Lyra development -

We are all set with the minimum feature set for Lyra mainnet alpha (the main coding is complete), but there is still extensive testing and debugging ahead.

We are releasing the current code to the testnet, while working on migrating the Shopify app code to the latest .NET MVC Core version (it used to be .NET framework ), so the entire Lyra code base is going to be 100% based on .NET core - open source, multi OS, high performance and scalability. Brief update on Lyra development status -

While conducting testing on testnet, we found several serious issues in consensus and DPOS implementation, related to the fact that current implementation is a hybrid “permissioned/permissionless”. We decided to take one more step and finish the full permissionless implementation before we move to mainnet (initially we were planning to do it after mainnet launch). We realize that this decision may postpone the mainnet launch date, but on the other hand it will help remove any concerns regarding the network decentralization and risks associated with fundamental changes on mainnet.

Currently, Joseph is mostly working on the Lyra network code, while I am focused on LoyalShopper, so by the time we launch mainnet we get a production grade LoyalShopper app ready to serve Shopify customers on day one.

Lyra development status update -

As we communicated previously, while conducting testing on testnet (thanks to our growing community of testers!), we found several issues in consensus and DPOS implementation, related to the fact that the original implementation was planned as a hybrid “permissioned/permissionless”. So we decided to take one more step and finish the full permissionless implementation before the mainnet launch.

We are pleased to inform you that the main work has been completed in version 1.7.3 - thanks Joseph for his hard, sophisticated work! We are still working on minor bug fixes and features (like additional LoyalShopper app and mobile wallets support).

The testers will be able to resume testing after the minor release which will be issued soon. Stay tuned!

We just finished implementation of a unique and very important feature - Import Account, which will be rolled out in testnet soon.
It is used for several use cases: send by email, reward redemption, and account consolidation.

Send by email
Send by mail feature can be used to make a transfer to a user that does not have a Lyra account - by using his/her email address instead.
The sender transfers funds (loyalty reward points, gift cards, LYR tokens, or other customer tokens) to a new, randomly generated temporary account (wallet address). The private key of this temporary account is sent to the recipient via email. To claim the received funds, the recipient imports the temporary account into his newly created or existing wallet account. No one can use the private key of the temporary account anymore as it is linked on the blockchain to the main recipient’s account. The sender can continue sending funds to the same temporary account, but only the recipient now can spend them.

Note that the sender can still use the private key to spend the balance before the temporary account is imported - this way “send by email” can be “cancelled” so the balance on lost or unclaimed transfer can be “returned” by the sender to the sender’s account. So it’s important to note that “send by email” transfer is complete (settled) only after the temporary account has been imported.

Reward redemption
Merchant gets a new customer and starts issuing loyalty rewards tokens for each new purchase, even though the customer does not have a Lyra account.
At some point, the customer realizes he/she has accumulated reward points and decides to use the rewards, so he/she installs Lyra wallet and creates a new account. He’s now prompted to import the account generated by the merchant - using the private key that’s being emailed by the merchant for each reward transaction. After the key is imported into the new customer account, the wallet can receive all reward transfers previously sent by the merchant to the customer. The merchant can continue sending rewards to the “old”, imported account id, while the customer will be receiving them on his main wallet account.

Thus, the customer can receive rewards from multiple merchants (sent to different imported accounts) on his single wallet account, although merchants don’t know the address of his main account.

Account Consolidation
CLI wallet and current version of mobile wallets does not support multiple accounts. You need to run multiple instances of CLI wallet (one per account) or switch between accounts in a mobile wallet (backup a private key, remove account, and enter a new private key). Even though Lyra accounts support multiple token balances (any number of different token types can be managed on a single account), there are situations when a user might have multiple accounts. If one of the accounts is only used for receiving incoming transfers, it can be merged with a “main” wallet account using the import feature. All the balances will be transferred from the imported account to the “main” account.

After the merge, the imported account’s id (address) can still be used to receive transfers but they will be added to the balance of the main account.

They are focused entirely on development, LYRA blockchain is designed from scratch with functionalities of Nano + Eth + Uniswap + Shopify together and is already on mainnet working with no issues

As we all know that Lyra is built with great ambitious from the very first day, by co- founder Slava Gomzin. Slava introduced block lattice to the structure invented by Nano, and finally makes Lyra a permissionless blockchain. Being permissionless blockchain means we can create any token just like what Ethereum does. This is the most undervalued feature of Lyra, at least for now.
But only being able to create a token is not enough. Theory of economy tells us that only by trade can we create value. So, if Lyra wants to create value for every token on it, Lyra must make every token created on it tradable. Therefore, we implement milestone 2, Token Swap. Lyra token swap works just like UniSwap to Ethereum, simple, effective, easy to use, and efficiency.
That why I once said, Nano + Eth + UniSwap = Lyra. Not a joke. Remember this, remember it very well or you cannot understand how Lyra being developed, how it works, and how to make great profit on Lyra platform.
Nowadays UniSwap has been a top tier exchange, side by side with Binance, Coinbase, Huobi, etc. The success story of UniSwap shows us how big the market is. People create numerous tokens every day. All those tokens need to be traded to create its value. We are born in a great time that everything can be tokenized and traded on exchanges. Lyra is born at the same time with great ambitious. What a coincidence.
AMM, Automatic Market Making, play a key role in the success story of UniSwap. Traditional DEX were trying to emulate a centralized exchange by create an order book also. But it was so slow that no one want to use it. AMM is the game changer. Now with release v2.0.4.0, Lyra Swap has the same AMM built in too.
So, we (yes, we — the secret new team), want to start a new business: Lyra DEX.

Lyra DEX will be a competitor to UniSwap, by utilizing faster transaction, instant confirmation, low fee, and much more. Imagine someone want to swap token worth $100 on UniSwap. How much will he/she pays? 0.3% swap fee + $7 ETH GAS fee, total $7.3. I can imagine nobody want it. But what if he/she swap token on Lyra DEX? 0.3% swap fee + 0.1% protocol fee, total $0.4. $7.3 vs $0.4. Lyra DEX win.
Lyra DEX will have two components, one is the token gateway, which will act like deposit/withdraw for traditional exchange, to connect the Lyra world with the rest of crypto world. This part will be available in February. The other one is Lyra consensus network itself. Creating liquidate pool, add/remove liquidate, swap token, all done by Lyra decentralized blockchain itself. This part is already up and running smoothly.
As I said before, Lyra investors’ interest is always our top priority. We have already brought the latest cutting edge crypto technology to Lyra ecosystem and try to create great value for our stakeholders. By creating Lyra DEX, this effort is just beginning.

Being in a bear market with so much incertitude combined with the fact that we have no ICO IEO we are in a stage of semi hibernation to reduce the cost of maintaining the project ( that's why no post on social ), as soon as VC's will begin investing again ( now we need SWAP pools liquidity and some advertisement, the rest is quite done ) we will wake up and go again full thrust.
Meantime I work on the all platforms ( PC and smartphone ) Lyra wallet with support for SWAP, DEX, stake and more.
