The entire cryptocurrency market depends on Bitcoin. Bitcoin is the leader of all altcoins. One can easily understand the power of bitcoin simply by checking its market capitalization. Also till now, history has shown that almost all altcoins follow bitcoin trends.
We should be always cautious trading altcoins considering bitcoin price trends.
That makes us get a responsibility to take a look at the bitcoin trend. When bitcoin trend was stable and altcoin can get a very good sentiment to do pump and dump.
Bitcoin trend should be the first thing that every trader must take a look at. We have seen how big the impact that already given by bitcoin to the market when bitcoin gets dumped.

bitcoin decline is not that big at the moment. altcoin dominance increases because previously the market moved up. it is natural. but when bitcoin falls strong then altcoin will be destroyed. look at the current price of altcoin, they haven't even recovered after the decline. and if it happens even bigger, it will make a lot of altcoins die.

It will dump stronger, that's based on what I witnessed in the past.

If you guys have witnessed the short bull run and the long bear market, you'll definitely know that the trend now is different, and it's always bitcoin first then altcoins will follow. It has no change until now since bitcoin has still not recovered fully and so the entire market is not stable yet.

When bitcoin pump, it won't excite me anymore as most likely it would just dump and will affect the altcoins again, so I really have a big hope for bitcoin to finally break its ATH and let's see if altcoins would also pumped like it did in the past.

AFAIR, last bull run, bitcoin reach a new ATH first before altcoins followed,

Bitcoin moves first, others are follow. And I agree with you, if Bitcoin goes down, alt-coins dump stronger. When Bitcoins goes up
some people sell for alt-coins, and that's the reason why some alt-coins rise only after Bitcoin.
Last bull run was amazing, I hope we will see another similar in the future. When Bitcoin made ATH and many alt-coins too, can
we see many of them making new ATH in the next few years?

BIG WINNER!

If Bitcoin price tank there is no way Altcoins can isolate themselves from it. People need to remember that Bitcoin dominance is still 62% of the whole market and most of these ALtcoins are even likely going to lose more value than Bitcoin, just look at the last bull run, BTC hit $20k and now its value is $9k, Ethereum hit $1300 and now $240

Well, the theory is reciprocity. if we are currently waiting for bitcoin prices to rise to see the development of altcoin prices which have the potential to rise to a higher level, then that also applies to the opposite. when the price of bitcoin goes down, the biggest possibility is that the price of altcoin will also go down, even more so if bitcoin goes down very strongly. it will really affect the price of an altcoin.

It's not. it depends on how strong the altcoin market can't defend its price from the bearish trend that happened on bitcoin. I have seen so many coins can get less than what has already gotten by bitcoin.
I means about when the support is much stronger than the sentiment from bitcoin bearish trend and it will not give a lot of impact.

yes, when their market is strong, of course, the impact will not be so great from the decline in the price of bitcoin. I saw BNB last year running some IEO and it was a success. when BTC goes down, we can see, BNB can still survive even has a price spike. but overall the market will collapse when bitcoin experiences a strong decline.

We have been bearish since mid-May 2020. Yesterday we decided to READ the weekly chart. In the analysis, we clearly mention a technically bullish Bitcoin but that would change if prices move and close below EMA10. If you look at the chart and the description/analysis you will surely agree. The 1H chart is short-term and changes every few hours. Here we are looking/reading the daily chart... We share what we see on the chart. Charts are always changing... Please keep this in mind. A chart can be bullish today, bearish tomorrow, and vice versa. The daily chart for Bitcoin (BTCUSD) is bearish. Prices trading below EMA10 is one signal that I look at. Trading below EMA50 is another bearish signal and stronger. A bearish cross is another one. Low volume another one. Lower highs, another one, etc. "Considering" the bullish scenario on a longer timeframe doesn't change our view and we never shared any trades in any of our channels asking people to long Bitcoin, only reading charts. I know this can be confusing for some but if it is... It is your job to stay out and trade only once you are 100% certain in what you are doing, once you feel 100% sure.

For more details, please visit this, https://www.tradingview.com/chart/BTCUSD/Zd7geN2t-What-Happens-To-The-Altcoins-If-Bitcoin-Drops-Strong/?amp

For now, altcoins are strongly influenced by Bitcoin’s influence and dominance. Wherever Bitcoin goes, most of the altcoins would follow. It is because Bitcoin is the mostly-used cryptocurrency as gateway to be converted to fiat currency.

In the Philippines, Coins.PH wallet now enables direct conversion of ETH, XRP and BCH to fiat currency (stable version of BTC) with fees aside from Bitcoin alone.

I believe there come a time that these altcoins will not rely anymore on Bitcoin’s influence. However, it would definitely take years to make it happen (probably longer).

its all depends on the project itself and how it performs so many project out there actually gaining their own pump momentum when the market is declining or in bearish, mainly the project that has promising future like what binance has hosted in the past, though binance ieo is not as effective right now compared to then.

but when bitcoin experienced a big decline that occurred last year, even all assets experienced such a terrible decline. to date, even some altcoins are still unable to return their prices.

Bitcoin is the coin that decides the next trend of the crypto market, and there is not any coin that can rise well if Bitcoin cannot rise. In general, all altcoins in this market are overwhelming, and it will be very difficult when you choose to invest. Personally, I always observe this market before buying or selling because if I make a mistake in trading, I will quickly lose the initial amount.

I have always noticed this If the price of Bitcoin drops then the drops lots of altcoins price, So here we understand that bitcoin is evaluated as the moving force of more altcoins. However, there was a good trend in 2017 where the price of almost all altcoins increased with the price of bitcoin

As usual, altcoins that have grown too strong will be sold off sharply. This is the rule because no one continues to want to hold the altcoins at their peak and get fomo too much. The majority of investors will take advantage of the sell-off so as not to let bitcoin or the covid epidemic affect their portfolios. Note that altcoins with high growth rates will be vulnerable to deep dumping. Therefore, we should be careful when trading in this sensitive period, maybe bitcoin is preparing to dump strongly in July.

When bitcoin is dumped, altcoin is dumped every time. If you check the previous history, you will understand how dependent the altcoin market is on Bitcoin. And the faster altcoin pumps, the faster it dumps. And when you compare it to 2017, it goes the other way. There are many differences between the current market and the 2017 market. The current state of affairs around the world is now in doubt.

July and August are the 2 months that I never chose to invest because this period is very risky and the market will tend to decrease more. If the price of Bitcoin drops, the whole market will have a huge adjustment and certainly if you are holding any coin, the loss of money is possible. In general, the value of Bitcoin will determine everything, so if you're not sure, consider selling when you can.

When bitcoin falls, obviously it will affect everything. Altcoin will actually fall deeper, but usually, there are still some altcoins that survive and some are not even affected so they continue to rise.

depending on the trend of altcoin. altcoin for this season is very good to enter,
because altcoin season has started, I think when Bitcoin drop altcoin is still safe don't worry

You both make good point but everything depends on the market season and youre still Bitcoin season not altcoin season so everything concern the market price momentum is determined by the trend which bitcoin market pose. However, altcoin potentials also need to be put into consideration either because some altcoin won't experience surge in price even when the bullish market occurs.
