I bailed on Link a few weeks ago after holding for about a year, made a hefty profit

Good for you, however what should do anyone that is just trying to invest in the coin for the first time? In my opinion they should stay away from the coin, people like you that invested long ago when the price was very cheap have began to sell their stash, which is completely understandable, but this means that those that want to enter now will have to do so at inflated prices and it does not seem like a good idea, if anyone believes in this coin for the long term that person needs to wait for the crash to come and only then he can buy as much link as he wants.

I don't think so, buy any coin that you believe will get a big spike in the future, so buying when the price is high I don't think is a problem because the most important thing is not to buy when the price is at the ATH line or point. That is, when the price is high but it shows that the price is still lower than the previous ATH point, then starting to buy is not a problem because the coin has the potential to continue growing later. Hold the long and short term is certainly a different thing, because LINK is feasible for the long term and maybe for both it depends on your own way, but you don't need to wait for the crash to come because it will only make you regret if the increase happens quickly without going through a crash.

In the long run, daily candlesticks still follow, showing that they are still up, but have reached a resistance level.
So you have to keep an eye on the market carefully. If the candlestick pattern gives sale confirmation, then you have to wait to buy back with the sale.

LINK has increased 7000%, this is an amazing number for an investment, imagine if you bought it for $ 0.2,
and now Link's price is at $ 12, and had reached ATH at $ 19, of course investors have enjoyed the results,
if you want to hold Link long term, you must accept all the risks.

Up to now if you have earned yourself a profit you can sell it. Since I see CHAINLINK this year doing their job very well, the value has been gained significantly.

If that is your strategy and it works for you then I am not going to say anything about it, it is just that I have found out that has not worked at all for me and I prefer to enter the markets when they are calm and not when they are going up significantly, this means that I need to wait a lot of time for the profits I want but once the market begins to go up I do not have to worry if this will be a significant bull run or anything since I invested at a point in which most people were not interested to invest and I got a good price for my coins.

I think we'll see LINK pump again once the Altcoin cycle comes around. Right now Bitcoin is dominating the market so LINK and the other Alts time will come around again and I do expect this time we'll see LINK go a lot higher. The only concern I do have with LINK which I didn't mention before in here is that the team hold most of the supply so just say we do see LINK hit $50 will the team start to dump? Again that is the risk we all take with projects where the team hold a lot of the supply.

Technically most of the Alts is dropping hard as we can see the Alts index is not performing over the past 2 week

Link price wise
It had corrected almost 50% from $20 which the price float around $10-12 now
For coins that corrected 50%, it is consider a huge correction and buying it now is of course a better choice than buying it at $20 right?

However take note, if you are buying now, always know that it might not see gains immediately
If price drop, DCA-ing it since LINK is not some empty shell coins that does nothing, it provides oracle service for a lot business out there
Reserve some cash, buy some Link, you are good to go

While you are not wrong on what you are saying the greatest problem is to know when this cycle will come, because after the crash of 2017 it took a really long time for altcoins to recover, will LINK still exist at that time? Most likely the answer is yes but what it will be its value at that time? It is precisely for this reason that I do not like to hold altcoins for the long term, altcoins are supposed to be traded and once the altcoin season is over then you go back to bitcoin, which is I think one of the main reasons for the growth that we are seeing in bitcoin.

Best time was to take profit when it pumped and made a peak around 20 and if you really bought at around 1.5 bucks then you are still in big profit and can take some profit but personally i think chainlink is a good hold and potential for growth is still huge, if you can wait or hold for few more months your peofit can grow.

If so, then you should hodl it for little more time cause you can see that price of ChainLink increasing and may possible act rarely bullish within short term. but if you don't know how to make maximum profit from your coin or don't like to take any risk anymore, then it is best to sold your coin cause now the price is good. Now LINK is in the top 6 on coinmarketcap, the price is no longer $1.5 at the time of this question. Sell or hold? If you're holding it, I advise you to sell the half and hold the other half, safety first.

None know what will be happening in the future. As long as he was still in a huge profit and it's also the best decision to hodl all of his coins. Imagine when the bullish trend will come and the price of link will worth more than $20 next year.

if we sell chainlink adviced it just short time selling to take profits from trading and rebuy when chainlink price corrected. this coin was good project and now investors thinking chainlink could be most profitable coin in their portofolio. in few moment ago crypto market dumped but this coin could survive alon and even price gain manytimes.

The price of ChainLink may be going up in terms of dollars but it is going down in terms of bitcoin as a great deal of money that was parked on altcoins is now coming to bitcoin again, so this is a difficult decision, if a bull market really comes it is likely that altcoins will grow as well but you never know how the market is going to react, after all we have had season in which the price of bitcoin went up and altcoins crashed and if that happens you do not want to be holding a coin like ChainLink which could crash really fast as investors leave it behind to get some bitcoin.

I agree cashing in the chainlink right now is a conservative approach. Both Bitcoin and ethereum are on a rise. I say place the money on them instead
