It's not too risky to hold this coin consider the big volume was also giving us a very big guarantee to make sure we can sell our token instantly. You cna't say if this coin is the same as USDT consider both were having different purpose. LINK is a good project to be owned as portfolio.

but as OP mentioned that if someone bought it at $1.5, (or maybe he's talking about himself here), and right now the price is at $16. that's a very huge profit over there. are you going to be greedy and lost your chance to earn a very decent income? it is up to you if can take the risk of losing some or earning more. maybe if i am the holder, i will sell some of my links that will get my profits many times over from my initial investments. and retain some if it will still continue to grow. at least i already have my profits and my initial investments when something goes sideways

Just want to point out the unbelievable changes from the time this post was made to this very day, @op was worried about the price at that time (which is just few weeks back) which indicates Link was trading at $1.50, and now at this very moment Link is trading at $15 (crazy right!)

Holding LINK coin is the same like holding the crap coin. even if there was a small chance for us to gets dumped again but we must try to take a look at our early posiiton whether we are in a big profit or not.

It's not true that we must go out asap when we have been getting very nice profit but remember this is a promising coin.

It indeed unpredictable, and if he does bought this coin and play smartly then he really earned a lot.

Very hard though as the market always accompanied by risk and with that particular statement, he's worrying about corrections

You are probably right. The price of Chainlink skyrocked this year with 706% but holding it is risky.

Risky in a manner if you have just hold or bought it. The old price of it 1-2 years ago was not that high. It didn't even reached $1 but due to the public demand and community's reaction on it, the demand started to increase which resulted to high prices.
If I'm part of those people who have held it during the low prices, I'd be happy to sell it and celebrate taking out the profits.

Have you set the goal for ChainLink? Have the price meet your expectation based on your goal? Than sure it's the best time to actually sell it for safer choice, but if you have balls of steel and want to actually go beyond, you can actually hold for a little bit amount of time later. I would rather go with first method for safer method of course.

Here is the thing. The people that bought at $1-2 or so most likely sold at $5 or $10 and are very happy with the profits. The people that bought at $10 or so, probably knew that there is no way it would make a 5-10x move because the market cap would be way too high and its not sustainable.

Since LINK is available on most exchanges and you can use margin, I think what most people did when it broke the $5 area is they bought it using leverage because they want to basically 10x their investment. So it rose healthy and pretty quick but its not normal for it too crash this much. You could tell the first few pullback were strong however when the selling accelerated and we dipped to the $10, look how large the bearish candles were. I think most of those was cascade upon cascade of liquidations from people who bought in too late.
