The general consensus is that new games, deposit methods, chat features etc are expected from any good casino. But has anywhere actually began offering cryptocurrency staking options for accepted cryptocurrencies?

@OP talking about stacking, what's I got from the question the reward should be paying from the reward stack wallets and the platform will stack your crypto using their wallets they will take some percentage from your reward stack. Until now there is no casino who provided this service, most of them only provided dividend by holding their own token or investment bankroll.

Anyway, using a third parties service for just do a stack was kind of dangerous thing same as exchange when you store the asset on them. Better to stack your crypto on your personal wallet, rent a VPS and just open your wallet. That's would be safe, rather than store your crypto on third service.

I don't see any reason why I should transfer my Tezos to a casino to stake them there. I as a player have absolutely no advantage, but the disadvantage that the coins are in a wallet that does not belong to me.
With big casinos - similar to Exchanges - there would even be the danger that they become very "powerful", especially with coins with governance, where you can actively influence future developments with your stakes.

Why would anybody be happy with an annual rate of 4% when practically every DeFi platform pays far more... even non-custodial ones.

Seems like some technical wizardry should allow people to bet their tokens while they're staked if the casino were to allow it. It could simply divide the wallet into two pools: staked and unstaked, ensuring people can only wager against either of these bankrolls.

A nice idea, but why would anyone want to entrust their tokens to a third-party platform rather than do the staking themselves? I agree that polled funds and large bankrolls net larger stakes,but the risks involved are far greater than the reward. Why not directly invest these tokens into a platform's bankroll? The reward only comes to the hands of the casino owner and none for the player, which makes this feature or whatever less inviting than what you think it is.

Also, this would possibly involve a lot of technicalities for the casino operator, and may even lead to complications given that there needs to be separate wallets for different purposes. It would be a honeypot for the hackers, and would surely be targeted on most times.

I'm not questioning the ability of developers to do this, but I'm questioning the viability of this feature and the benefit of this for the users aside from the staking aspect, particularly on the way they play on the platform.

I don't like this take. After all, if a casino is not worth investing in, then why would the owners bother investing in the building, maintenance, and advertising of the site itself? With a number of 'strategy-based' casino games you can usually double the house edge due to bad play from casual players and you can easily see a significant profit from investing in the bankroll.

I recall Lutpin recording some of the monthly returns for Crypto-Games, and IIRC most of them averaged around 4% ROE - that's pretty significant.

Besides stocking bitcoin at freebitco.in, I don't know if there is a gambling website that allows for a stake in their website.
But maybe that is not staking but invest in the freebitco.in, but for me, the purposes are the same, and we can make a return from the stake or invest.
I prefer to use the wallet from the developer to stake the coin instead of using a web base because it is too risky, and we don't know if the website can online for a long time.

The only reason why casino would give you investment or staking opportunity because they want that we do not withdraw funds from their site so that we can play more. I disagree, if you're looking to invest or leave your funds there's really no pressure to play their games except for the deposit rollover which only applies in certain casinos.

This rate of interest for deposit will be similar to the inflation rate or even lesser than the actual inflation rate for your fiat currency.If it is USD the average inflation is 3% so if a bank is offering 7% same then they can choose that investment over risky casino investment.

I think OP is asking a reasonable question.
There are quite a few proof of stake cryptocurrencies and the since casinos can take them as an investment in the house, it means they're running a wallet also. Users entrusting the casino with a deposit in the house could also use it as a service to stake. It would be a win-win situation for those making waggers, the house as well as investors.

That will depend on how many amounts you use to staking because I think that coin will have a minimum amount to stake.
The stake will be too risky to do if the coin is down from time to time without any chance to increase.

Staking is a strategic way of betting and this has been an old school of gaining profits. There are quite a few proof of stake cryptocurrencies and the since casinos can take them as an investment in the house, it means they're running a wallet also. Users entrusting the casino with a deposit in the house could also use it as a service to stake. It would be a win-win situation for those making waggers, the house as well as investors.

You are right but the problem might be that if casinos allow staking then gamblers would have to lock their funds for some time period and we all know when we are loosing we get desperate and it would feel like hell to have your coins but you cannot use it, this might be the reason casinos hesitate to allow players to stake their coins.

I can't recall having heard of any exchanges handling crypto that stake ever passing on the staked portion to those with the relevant crypto involved.  I'm not sure I'd want to leave very much money on a Casino's website long enough for interest to be earned (unless of course I was an investor with an actual stake in the site).

Yes, because you need to stay the balance on that gambling site for long to earn interest for your staking crypto . Its have the same risk investing in exchange which  you don't know if they have a plan on scamming people or until when they can sustain to give interest to people . There is a difference between bankroll investment and staking, if some casinos allows you to stake you will get fixed amount as returns in the certain time period where as in bankroll the returns based on the success of casinos but I feel bankroll gives more profits than staking so yes its always choose the better return investment.

I haven't tried this staking crypto in a casino, and good question if planning staking why in a casino on risking your crypto. Better find a legit one with good reviews, good customer service and feedback. Also, I don't trust leaving some funds in an online game.

I don't know any crypto casino who offers cryptocurrency staking. But I think it would be nice if they would offer it. If the first casinos will start with such a feature, I guess the other will be follow.

Many of this kind of token staking in to casino are on EOS dapps. You can find there tons of casino that offers staking in cryptocurrency but I believe only limited to EOS based token.

Staking hasn't reached the gambling platform, maybe in the future this can happen. In one gambling site I came across staking. I think it is the most, there the native token staking is accepted. There's nothing under the sun that's guarantee in nature, when making stakings of this nature we should have one thing at the back of our minds that, anything can happen to the company which can lead to bankruptcy. That's true and I rather stake my coins only if I have the full control over my coins during the staking time because 4% per year means to double up the amount you invested means it would take 25 years to double up or let's say get the original value back as the original amount is under staking. I've thought of those dApps that are made through TRX and EOS. I guess every project that's made there have staking feature for their gamblers to do but only for those certain altcoins. But if it comes to staking, freebitco.in is easier to trust than those dApps that comes. I hope so too, the casino market is changing very fast in the last month due to the corona pandemic. Many new casinos coming up and trying to establish themselfs. On this forum we have plenty of gamblers who like to give feedback to different casino pages. The owners should definitely try to factor in our feedbacks,it would only improve their casino. This could be the best option if they successfully enter in the market, they are still on Beta which means many updates to come. Though it’s risky to trust them that early, I think its worth to try. If we don't need our crypto coins for a while we could really think about using them for staking. I made some bad experience in the past with staking so I didn't try if for a while now. Have many people here on the forum made positive experiences with staking casinos? Has anybody lost some money with it? Usually I just gamble with my own coins and try to make some money like that.

I had a bad experience with it before and I wouldn't mention the site anymore. I have lost my coins which are supposed only for staking. for those who are used to crypto gains of 1000s% in a couple days or weeks 4% seems low, but as you say for a safe investment it may be ok, usually we see short term bonds paying this in many places.

for crypto and freebitcoin you have to add to the math how secure you think the website is, because there's always the risk they could run away with your money (which I don't think will happen) or be exploited.

If by staking you mean investing in bankroll, then yes, there are quite a few casinos that offer this.

However, if you mean staking altcoins, I don't think that any casino pay out staking rewards on deposits for PoS coins.

There are a few casinos including EOSBet which does offer rewards for holding their native tokens though. Although these tokens are essentially equity in the business anyway, so I'm not sure what advantages you would get from holding a token rather than a percentage in their bankroll.

I agree with you that crypto staking has been offered by many popular exchanges. So the casino owner doesn't think it's needed in the casino

It might change now that ETH is POS. Most of the casino today that has staking option are from EOS and TRON, it's profitable somehow for those who can afford millions of the casino tokens. The thread was made by @Dustboy, and in my opinion it seems to me that the list in there seems decent and most of the sites have a good traffic in terms of users using their sites so I would recommend staking on those platforms, just don't invest what you can't afford to lose in this case, there's still risks in staking so be careful.

Since they're small businesses, it maybe hard for them to maintain the games they rented/created. It is not cheap to start a casino since doing it is still at risk of paying out huge amount if somebody were very lucky to win a lot. That's quite a news. I have used crex24 myself in the past bur from whatever faded memories I have about it, I remember it was a decent exchange but there was no gambling available that time.

I have almost stopped using exchanges after the recent KYC pressure from almost all the exchanges. I am not sure if they allow the staking of coins but it is just too risky to stake your coins at a centralized exchange. Fortunately, I have some balance on my account that I collected a long time ago, so I am okay if I miss clicks every hour because that still earns some rewards. They don't have not so good reputation from the forum but for all the years that I have used this exchange, just smaller trades, I haven't encountered any trouble. So I can't say anything bad to them. They also have investbox where you can stake different alts.

That's quite a news. I have used crex24 myself in the past bur from whatever faded memories I have about it, I remember it was a decent exchange but there was no gambling available that time.

I have almost stopped using exchanges after the recent KYC pressure from almost all the exchanges. I am not sure if they allow the staking of coins but it is just too risky to stake your coins at a centralized exchange. It's actually not even safe now days to leave your coins at centralized exchanges because half of them might close by the next time you visit them and half of them will ask for your selfie and other photoshoots.

I agree that the risk of keeping coins on a CEX has gone up lately with all the regulatory pressure
there are many opportunities with DeFi going on and you can probably get a better rate somewhere else anyways, CEX usually don't have the best rates on the market
