Being a resident of India, I can understand your feelings. The situation here is terrible and it is getting worse with every passing day. Yesterday we had more than 65,000 new cases and almost a thousand new deaths. Most of the hospitals are at breaking point, as health workers themselves are getting infected. In cities such as Delhi and Mumbai, private hospitals are refusing new admissions.

There are many conspiracy theories flying around but I really think this was a case of institutions not really knowing what was going to happen with the virus, fortunately for us the virus is not as bad as it seemed to be at the beginning, but the truth is you never know how lethal a virus is going to be until it infects enough people, so it seems to me that governments were really afraid of this new virus because of this unknown factor and they tried to protect their populations by exercising strong lockdowns.

I don't think of hospital or medical industries charging abnormous fee during this pandemic, a lot of forntliners died due to their sacrifices to handle such patients which have covid 19. I guess the winner are the people who are now still very healthy and very active living due to following all the protocols given by the government.

I have not really thought about that but you are right some of the biggest winners of this pandemic are the people that have learned how to live in this new reality and have followed the guidelines put in place by the governments, this means that if this happens again, and most likely it will happen again, we will be ready to take the right precautions and the next pandemic is not going to be as big as this one as people realize immediately the danger it presents to us.

How can you speak about who won more during COVID, when this is a world wide disaster? The one who won more is the one that stayed healthy. Speaking globally - the winners are the countries with less cases per 1000 population. These countries probably did not even started a lockdown period and their economy worked as usually.

If we look at it from an evolutionary point of view (which is probably shared by the Chinese authorities), thousands of those that have died (even millions) would only make the Chinese economy better in the long run. How come? Mostly for two key factors or reasons
