If we look at the present time, we can see that ETH is still the king of Altcoins because it still maintains a high price and difference compared to other Altcoins. ETH may be higher by the end of 2020. I will hold it at the moment.

many people think and predict eth price in 2021 can touch $ 1000 and touch previous ATH. I personally still save and add some ETH for the long term. I'm looking forward to the surprise of 2021.

Technically every potential cryptocurrency in the market ought to touch the price of there previous ATH anytime from now but ETH was not the king of altcoins through it high price or difference as said by Shanghai cause it maintains its position as altcoins king through the community trust and how it operated by Vitalik especially when ETH2.0 was written.

Ethereum price may possibly reach high once this upgrade will occur. When the ethereum contract release a lot of users buy some ethereum to hold in their wallet as they believe it will push the value in the market. So as we can observe these days ethereum is dominating among other altcoins which is a good move it will rise possibly next year.

Sorry to break your heart but it is Ripple that who's dominating the altcoins and ethereum is just on green light.

I must admit that i bought some XRP back when this was below $0.26 because i Saw in snapshot the opportunity of gaining yet I am a Bitcoin and Ethereum Holder and will still stand for that.

Xrp maybe is doing good in the market but it shouldn't be considered as the dominant cause it a very manipulated coin and most things we posted on this forum are what most newbies used as a guide and if i don't point that out it may mislead someone that read it cause you may have the knowledge to set loss what about the people that sees your post as hints?

It will continue to be awesome, we are near 600 dollar levels and that is a very vital situation. With just another 2x we are nearly at the all time high price and that is something very important not just for ETH but for all altcoins as well.

The problem is, bitcoin dropped from $20k but never really dropped that much, even on the worst moments it managed to reach to $10k many many times which is 50% drop from the all time high, but altcoins dropped a ton more. FOMO of 2.0 would be good enough to move all crypto higher, and that is what happened mostly as well in the recent news period. You do not see crypto move all individually, it could be probably something that happens in amount and % changes but not in the direction sense neither.

Just to give an example, we do not really see ethereum going up 20%+ and XRP going down 20%+ at the same time right? That barely ever happens, but we do see ETH going up 20%+ and XRP going up 50%+ at the same time right? That kind of differences may happen but that is about it. It means if ETH fomo goes on about this eth 2.0 deal, that means other coins will get a hold of that too and they will start to go up as well. I don't know why but they react to those things all together most of the time.

As is currently the case when the bitcoin price goes up, the ethereum price also rises. That's why all altcoins are so dependent on the price of bitcoin, not just ethereum. Today BTC hit a new ATH at $20000, but I really believe that ETH will look for a new ATH in 2021.
