Yes, I know we have seen a lot of fake BTC giveaways in the past. But what makes this not just another scams, because it involves two personalities that are running for the US presidency that is supposedly pro-bitcoiner. We even have a thread about them, Two Pro-Bitcoiners Bid For US Election 2020. And that vanity address on Kanye, looks legit specially for newbies. Website: Website: Bitcoin addresses: 358arZYMSNEaHSYDKhz9XCyixxU5BEGwWJ 1KanyevWspyHgwFxGm67ZDynoNHdWCrZwU And that Kanye address has a lot of btc now: https://www.blockchain.com/btc/address/1KanyevWspyHgwFxGm67ZDynoNHdWCrZwUSo everyone be cautious, don't throw your money to any of those fake giveaways.

What we’ve yet to know here, is how traffic is driven over to those two websites, whether it is by means of placing Google Ads with related keywords, through social media and such, or alternative drivers.
The core objective public in thos specific case, besides anyone gullible enough to fall for it, would be American citizens (due to the context), whom normally, one would say, are less prone to falling for this than others. Regardless, the trend is that of pulling-off similar stunts using any popular news/buzz. Somebody will always take the carrot …

I've never seen these odd websites claiming that they are are giving away some free cryptocurrency. I wonder why, or maybe because I am using Firefox with uBlock Origin and HTTPS Everywhere installed. Those extensions actually help to reduce the risks of getting scammed or accidentally clicking suspicious websites.

Very clever of those scammers, they jump on this noise and now have victimised specially that Kanye West vanity address. I suspect that they are spreading this kind of malicious sites through social medias like Twitter or Discord which is a save haven now for scammers.

It is not new even in youtube there are a lot of people right now are expecting that they can receive a lot of bitcoin with those giveaways. Most of the common techniques of these kinds of the platform are like this. - You just need to send a small amount of bitcoin to participate on this event and as you are a beginner a small amount can possibly double your money that's why many people got on this trap.
- This is safe all of the people will receive a funds on this giveaway
- THIS IS NOT A SCAM. Most of the time it is already inserted on their banner but still many people participating with this event, I don't know what's wrong with their common sense, this is obviously suspicious.
Already reported.

What we’ve yet to know here, is how traffic is driven over to those two websites, whether it is by means of placing Google Ads with related keywords, through social media and such, or alternative drivers.
Same thought. OP has to find those scam sites one way or another, right? Still awaiting for a reply. I'm personally guessing that this is still advertised on Twitter though, using those hacked Twitter accounts with the verified check marks. Apparently it looks like those scams are still working for some reason. 🤦♂️

I am getting a safe browsing error on my browser when I am trying to access both the url. Both Metamask and Google are blocking it.
