Update: still seeing a lot of advertisements using the same guy Carlos Dominguez III from different facebook accounts, I reported some them already.

I'm just curious, was it because I click a link before, so I keep seeing more ads like that?
How to completely stop seeing these ads?

Perhaps, it was because of that. You can read 'bout it naman under legal and policies.

Here's the process para mabasa mo 'yong about doon:

Code:
Facebook -> Menu -> Settings -> Cookies Policy.

Now to clear it (not permanently), punta ka again sa settings then click off-facebook activity then i-clear mo lahat ng pu-pwede i-clear doon, and i-clear mo rin 'yong data or 'yong cookies sa fb application itself, same thing sa browser na nagamit mo nung nabuksan mo 'yong link. And one more thing, turn-off mo na lang rin 'yong future off-facebook activity mo.

Not sure kabayan ah, 'yan lang alam ko  Cheesy. To stop it completely, then better if iiwasan mo 'yong pag-ki-click sa mga ganiyang ads para 'di mo na sila mae-encounter again and again.

Yep.

while on a website that lets you watch a movie for free an ad pop up on the side of my screen with the president's face on it I clicked to check it out and to my "surprise" it's an article about bitcoin. It's very ambitious of them to use the president as a front for their scam. the article even said that the president is urging it citizen to learn about bitcoin "lifestyle"

Quote
(Daily News) Rodrigo Duterte, business magnate, philanthropist, investor and president of Philippines, has signed the largest agreement of the century in Philippines. Taking a big step towards technology, the Philippines government approved this agreement and it was something that has been working to change Philippines’s technology, currency and monetary system.
The new Duterte agreement creates a platform for the citizens of Philippines to start generating income with cryptocurrency. This new platform is called Bitcoin Lifestyle. He is urging all citizens of Philippines to learn about Bitcoin Lifestyle quickly to get involved.

I tried copy pasting the webadress to another search bar and it's not showing anything. it seems like you can only access the article if the ad popped up on your screen while on the website.

Of all people talaga, 'no? Pero kung sabagay, not too surprising na 'yong mga ganito, it is just that, ganiyan na kasagad 'yong pagkasabik nila makabiktima ng mga 'di gaanong aware with these ventures. Good thing pala nakita mo 'to, 'di pwedeng diyan-diyan na lang 'yan at marami rin pinoy mahilig maglibot sa mga free movies na site, 'di malabong ma-intrigued sila sa ganiyan. So, anyway, ni-report mo na ba 'to?

These are the sites yata kung saan mo pwede ilapag 'yan  Huh.

I believe this change has a lot to do with misinformed or misleading posts and ads like that freely circulating within their website. And it's a good move kasi hindi naman iyan issue ng press freedom. Press freedom or freedom of expression doesn't cover defamation or misinformation. Bitcoin's reputation has suffered enough from these click-baits.

any chance for the source? since I've been using Facebook since high school I'm intrigued about this their stricter protocols. I remember in the past they announced having stricter rules against ads and misleading posting(heard the news in youtube) but seeing that there are still a lot of misleading posts going around on their website I guess Facebook didn't really put much effort on extinguishing these misleading posts.

as for google, google CEO also needs to be called out for advertising phishing sites on their website endangering unsuspecting users.
