Telegram Scammer "support george fl"

Dear crypto currency community,


please be carefully on Telegram.
I was contacted on Telegram yesterday by a user named "support george fl".
He said that he can sell me the items at positions 1st and 21th in the Auction from Krogothmanhattan for 0.12 BTC before the auction ends.
He also said that he was Krogoth and that he had heard from minerjones that I was a good and reliable user.

Then he asked, if I'm a collector or business man. I have blocked this user on Telegram.

This is the auction he mentioned, where I'm still on bidding:

I think, he have found me on Telegram, because I'm using there the same username.

Dealing with anyone on telegram is highly risked. No one should make any deal over telegram even that is of reputed member because scammer can pretend of the reputed member and for a little change of the original account and when you are busy then it might be possible to scam. So dealing on telegram is a big no.

For your case I didn't see any scam attempt though the person undoubtedly a scammer because the person cam to you by pretending of a reputed member.

Just follow this rule, do not talk to strangers if he wants to strike a deal let him pm you in Bitcointalk and confirm that you want to make a deal in telegram, if it is a newbie account always decline only deal in transparent mode and that is on Bitcointalk and always ask for vouch on the users.

Good thing you did not fall into his scam but there are many people who would have believed all this and paid the scammer. Unless you are 100% sure that the particular telegram belong to the particular person, do not go for any financial  deal. If you ask me , i would always PM to he person in bitcoin talk before making any deal.

If I have previous deal and I can see all the details on the telegram then I can consider the deal over telegram otherwise fully no. And still if the trader change any information then I ask to send message via bitcointalk to avoid scam.

That is the scam attempt there, pretending to be Krogoth which he is really not, so this is trust trading. And it's good that the OP didn't fell for this kind of trap because we have heard a lot of members, usually newbies who fall for this kind of trick. And I agree that Telegram has become a tool for scammers who uses this kind of scheme.
