Thank you for this bit of information.

I never knew data mining of all sorts was possible. Being able to steal millions of phone numbers and create unlimited fake accounts is just deplorable. And the people behind Telegram wanted to pocket billions of USD$ in their token sales Roll Eyes

I stopped using Telegram several months ago and seems like it was the right choice.

Yeah, every kind of data mining is possible over Telegram, you can also extract the phone numbers of millions of members, it's against the rules but possible and this has already been done. Also it's possible to create endless fake accounts, also against the rules but done excessively by Coinsbit. I wouldn't wonder if Coinsbit also maintain data mining with their bot.

They use the same tactics as other scammers do in Telegram, they use bots and sock-puppets to post trash in order to fool gullible investors to part with their funds.

I hope the whole BTCU, coinsbit.io, p2pb2b.io, exrates.me, whitebit.com, direBit, LiquidXBit, BitcoinexMarket, NetCurrencyIndex, xcrypt.pro scammer group gets jail time for their scams.

Well, this can be done with a simple and bloody trick: Every possible phone number is generated by a script. You can use an existing database or create a database for it. Then the so mined numbers are added to the phone and checked automatically, if they exist in Telegram.
