I reported this topic for being in the wrong board, it's now in the right section but that was not the case earlier, I saw this topic in the mining board IIRC, but it doesn't matter where it actually was, I am sure it wasn't in bitcoin technical support when I reported it.

Now my report is marked "bad", which is nothing to worry about, but maybe one of the mods moved it without marking it and then another mod thought I reported it when it was in the right section, which makes me think that the mods don't get to see at what boards/sections posts were actually reported and if it happens to be moved before a mod notice the report - it will be a bad report.

If the post wasn't moved based on a report, you might be right, like- mod has seen the topic not in perfect board and moved it but if someone else also had reported the topic and mod moved it to correct board, your report should also be marked as good. You may get some idea here- https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=5261088.0

I reported that thread. Very likely faster then mikeywith did.

It does let me know that can happen to you.

I HAVE had a 220 report streak end a month ago. My stats were 99% and I got a bad report. The thread I reported was moved. So I think it happens some times. At least i know why.

Thanks for the thread.

I find your lack of faith in Bitcoin disturbing.

which makes me think that the mods don't get to see at what boards/sections posts were actually reported

Correct. In our report list, we just have the link of the reported post (+ the name of the reported user, the name of the reporter and the comment). So indeed, we don't have the history of the post/topic, a mod can't know if the topic has been moved and he has to judge when he sees the report.
A detailed comment could have avoided this " mistake " : This topic has no place in section XXX, please move it to section YYY.

Thanks for clarifying, sadly I can't see the comment i had on that report, but I am pretty sure it describes why was it reported, I usually comment on where the post should be moved to unless I don't know where should it be, then my comments are usually "move" , "please move to the right board", and etc. so the mod who reported it bad must have seen my comment but probably couldn't understand why would I report a post in the correct section, which was worthy of a "bad" status.

In that case if someone wants to increase their report records, they can simply report topics in the correct section and claim it should be moved to the correct section and their report will still be marked good because when the mods see it - they will think it was actually in the wrong section before another mod moved it.

In other words, I could report the same post again and say "This topic has no place in 'meta', please move to 'bitcoin technical support'", when a mod sees that report, they will think it was actually moved from meta which is not the case, am I wrong? I hope so.

Anyway, I think it would help if mods had a way to check the post history.

No.
All reports made for a posts are marked as good automatically, only if the post is deleted.
If a post is moved to another section, all other reports remain unhandled.
Read the following post made by halab.

If the solution is to move a topic, the mod must click 20 times on 'handled' after moving the topic.

Anyway, I think it would help if mods had a way to check the post history.
Yes.
I have many bad reports for posts I reported because they had been made consecutively.

Assume that a user has made posts A and B in a row.
I report post B and another user reports post A.
The report made for post A is handled before my report and post A deleted.

Since the post A has been deleted, the post B is no longer after post A and my report is marked as bad.

Would be a welcome addition and make it easier for mods to track the history of a thread as it could have been moved by a mod or the thread starter already. I usually prefer to notify the OP in a reply to move their thread and would drop a direction on how to do it if they are newbies (except it's an obvious spam, then I report it).
As regards boosting of report score, there's no incentive for that now, so it'll unlikely become an issue, but looks like it can be technically done.

Is this for all threads that got moved ?

Because i saw and already seeing in the german board some threads that are moved and the message is still there that they got moved !

Or does this only apply to threads that are moved to the trashcan and have already been deleted?
And also saw that a few times in the Announcements (Altcoins) sections that they there for a few hours or an day.

Dont know how it works .

When you move a topic to another board, you have the choice to post a redirection topic.
Moderators have the same option, when they move topics. Mole0815 did so when moved those two topics.
Halab has already explained this in another thread. You can visit the link below.
