Look here that doesn't give such attention to the title and not even read what's written on the OP. You're not a newbie anymore you've earned 29 merits already and just a week I guess you'll be a Member, you just lack activity. As I've seen your profile and you post quality posts and I guess in just enough time you'll be a high rank member here, my suggestion is read the rules before jumping onto it.

I think you are not reading the rules look at this rules and requirements. You are not a newbie anymore your a Jr. member with 30 merits.

I really want to get a ranking of 5 so I could send a message to someone that might be able to help with my problem with liqui exchange (I had not realised they had closed and I still had my coins there).  I thought I would try and post here:

Sorry this is more of begging for merit you can edit your post and submit a good post so I can reconsider your post, if I give in to your request I will have to give in to those who will post here asking for merit, you must earn it.

Might as well add another requirement that they should have at least xx no. of activities (min. of 60 activities should be good). The reason behind is that legit newbies shouldn't be aware of the merit and ranking system yet. It's just a suggestion though.

You should add registration requirement to prevent alt accounts for merit.
You can add that before a specific day who registered can get this chance and this is not from those who just signed up.

No, I don't want to any more restrictions and requirements it's just enough that I see how motivated they are in giving value to this forum
even those who have 5 or less activity can qualify themselves, not even on alt accounts because there is no prohition that alt accounts are nto qualified.
