I don`t think to mining is more profitable right now.You should focus on trading more better earnings and that will also make you more expert on time being in crypto. Every one his own way to do that, but you can do this instead of this CPU mining is not valuable currently when you are not using GPU mining using CPU mining that not bring you much good result.

If you had read the whole thread you would understand why I call your reply the most useless I've ever read.

That seems to be a standard reply by some people to any CPU mining question.

Your error means Nicehash can't find a miner for your CPU. Nicehash support should straighten it out.

Are there any other mining softwares? Pool softwares.
Before you proceed: if you're trying to test "Bitcoin mining", Nicehash isn't the correct testing ground just because it payouts BTC;
It's still mining Altcoins and converts your profit to BTC as default(?) payout method.

No?, try this miner and coin: https://veruscoin.io/get-vrsc - nheqminer (AV may flag it - Download at your own risk!)
I won't vouch for that particular coin and miner but since it's just for testing purposes, you can try that because it's easy to mine with low-end CPU.

Easy steps:
1. Download the zip file and fully extract the files "nheqminer.exe" and "start.bat" in a single folder,
2. Create an Antivirus exception for the folder or files; read the "readme" file (or not).
3. Get yourself a veruscoin address using a random paper wallet generator online.
4. Visit the pool: https://luckpool.net/verus/connect.html, check the pool host for your loc and change the parameters in the bat file depending on your preferred server.
You can edit 'start.bat' using a text editor (texts may not be formatted correctly) or notepad++ (suggested).

These are the only parameters that you should change (highlight):
pool server, port, veruscoin address, put any name, number of CPU threads you want to burn; respectively.
@set PoolHost=na.luckpool.net
@set Port=3956
@set PublicVerusCoinAddress=RGWiTFQc8biW1gBQWp************
@set WorkerName=nc50lc
@set Threads=6
Then, run the .bat file "start.bat".
You can check your miner's status (after a few [1-10] minutes of mining) in the pool webpage by pasting your veruscoin address in the "wallet address".
Change the payout to lower amount under "manage" if you want to test getting paid.

The problem with the benchmark can be the following: the antivirus could have deleted or quarantined the exe files from the miners included in NiceHash and when you try to perform a benchmark, as the exe file is not found, you get the error. Maybe the antivirus informed you about deleting / placing files in quarantine and you missed the message or maybe it did't inform you at all. This happened to me many times. You have to add the entire NiceHash folder to exclusions and, if you want to be 100% sure that the antivirus won't interfere, add manually all exe files from the miners folder to the exclusion list.

Besides, you should also run NiceHash even without running a benchmark. If the mining doesn't start at all then you may have missing exe files. So check the files deleted / quarantined by the antivirus and restore them. Or reinstall NiceHash.

Also, be aware that with NiceHash you are not mining actually. You are renting your hash power to others, which pay for this hash power through NiceHash. NiceHash is just a hash marketplace, an intermediary between those with hash power, willing to rent it, and those interested in this hash power, willing to pay for it. As a consequence, your income from NiceHash will always be lower than mining in a pool. Also be aware that no matter the coin you'll mine, you'll be paid only in BTC. Also, the fees are quite high: 5% for being paid in your external wallet and minimum treshold is (if I remember well) 0.001 BTC. Last year I was reaching this amount with a 1080Ti after a month or so, therefore reaching it with a CPU would take years. You also have the option to use their internal wallet, for lower fees, but it is not recommended at all, since NiceHash was hacked in December 2017 for 60M USD or so in BTC. Some say it was an internal job, considering also that immediately after the hack, their CTO and cofounder - Marko Kobal - resigned and considering also that the CEO (the other cofounder) from that time was a notorius criminal: Matjaž Škorjanc, known for creating Mariposa botnet, one of the largest botnet in history and for being the admin of Darkode cybercrime forum. He was arrested twice in 2010 and 2011 and also sent to jail for 4 years by Slovenian police in 2013. In 2019 he was arrested again, in Germany, as US had issued an international warrant on his name, also for creating Mariposa. Since then, NiceHash is run by Matjaž Škorjanc's father.

I used NiceHash for 3 years, until October 2019. As I always used an external wallet, I wasn't too affected by the hack. I lost just 0.01 BTC (the amount that was supposed to be paid to me in the week the hack took place). Back then the treshold was higher: 0.01 BTC. Payments were weekly. But there were people which lost dozens of BTC, as they kept them in the internal wallets of NiceHash, which had a fee of 2 5%, while the payments to external wallets were taxed with 5%. For those 2.5% they lost thousands of dolars. After the hack they said that on Feb 1st, 2018 they'll fully reimburse all their clients, as they were talking with some international investors. Besides, they kept encouraging the users to still use the internal walets!!! So they just got hacked, got back online and started to recommend again to use their wallet, for its lower fees. I think only dumb people would do the same mistake again. Regarding the reimbursment, they lied: since Feb 1st, 2018 and until Oct 1st, 2019 they kept paying back monthly a small percentage. They paid first two months 10%, then they reduced it to 7%, then 5% and since the autumn of 2018 or so they paid back 1% each month. They said that they pay back cutting their profits but, most likely, they were paying back from customers' own money. Mining revenues decreased a lot, as BTC went also down. If in 2017 a 1080Ti was producing about 9€/day, in 2018 it hardly produced 0.5€/day. They said that mining revenues are low as there is not much demand on their market, considering that BTC was also very low. But even in the summer of 2019, when BTC went up to 13.000$, their mining revenue kept being very low and their reimburse payments kept to be 1% per month. So another lie. They never said anything anymore about the mysterious investors which were supposed to help them to fully reimburse all the clients in a single installment; they also deleted the reference of paying everything on Feb 1st, 2018. In October 2019 they reached a total reimburse of 80% and they stopped paying back, saying that for each amount paid back they had to pay taxes to the govern and, as they reached a total amount paid back of 80%, their total expenses represented 101% of the hacked funds. Since then I never used NiceHash anymore, seeing that they are just liars, that they are in the hands of a criminal and seeing also that a 1080Ti would have to mine 5 weeks for reaching the 0.001 treshold lol. I said there is no use of exhausting a 1000$ video card 24/7 for earning 0.001 BTC once at 5 weeks. Also, I had no other reason to mine since they stopped paying back. Until then I had to, as their monthly 1% was part of the regular mining payment, thus you were forced to keep mining on your address from the hack in order to reach your payment back. In my case, my 1% meant 10.000 sats. Thus, in order to actually have they paid in my wallet, I had to mine other 90.000 sats with my GPU on that address. That was also another trick of these tricksters, for forcing the miners to keep mining with them. Of course, you had also the option to not mine at all and to wait until those 1% payments would become an amount greater than the minimum treshold. So if your 1% was 10.000 sats, you should have waited 10 months to reach 0.001 BTC until to finally see those funds in your wallet.

I hope all of the above are resons strong enough for avoiding NiceHash.

Other similar programs to NiceHash are BetterHash, Minergate and Awesome Miner. I said similar, as NiceHash is unique, as it is a marketplace for hash power. These other programs are similar to NiceHash in the sense they are easy to be used, a sort of click-to-mine. And with them you are really mining. At least in theory.

Betterhash is a Romanian program. I know its creator, but I never used the program lol. But many say it has better pay rates compared to NiceHash. The creator of Betterhash also created Orange Antivirus, which is an antivirus installed on all phones bought from Orange.

Minergate has very very low pay rates and their customer support seems to not exist. They answered me once after 3 or 4 weeks. I tried this program while NiceHash was offline after the hack and I had to spend a lot to reach their minimum treshold. I would not recommend it at all.

About Awesome Miner I heard good things, but I wasn't able to set it up. It was too complicated or I was just a beginner back then... I don't know. I tried it also while NiceHash was down buy I never managed to mine with it.

All in all, best advice is to use a real mining pool. These easy to use programs will never pay you as a mining pool does, but they are very simple to use. Connecting to a mining pool may he more complicated, but you have a better payment.

I hope this helps.
