I noticed a couple of weeks ago that the Litecoin difficulty went through the roof, but haven't come across any information about ASICs being delivered. Are the ASIC for Litecoin and similar coins now out in the wild?
Yes, they are out and you can order them.

If so, would it be too late for this coin to change to something other than SCRYPT?
Yes it is too late for that now, let it launch and they can do that later.

So until block 7k its only 1000 per block?

I mean i understand 0-250 no reward to avoid insta miner ect..

But being an early miner has to have its advantage and your taking it off with the low block reward in the early 7k blocks.

maybe

I agree with you. There is not a great enough incentive to mine this coin at launch.

Give miners a chance to get a lot of coins with little work so that they become supporters/promoters.

You're both missing the point, 1000 is the HIGHEST the block reward will ever be.

The reward will DROP to (20,000)(1/√(Difficulty+500)) from block 7001-250,000

Let's say difficulty is only 1 by block 7001 (even though it will be a lot higher) - this gives a block reward of 20000 x (1/√501) = 894.43

If difficulty was at 100, block reward would be 20000 x (1/√600) = 816.5

So guaranteeing 1000 block reward from block 250-7000 IS rewarding the early miners. After that the block reward will DROP as the difficulty goes up.

I've done you a graph to illustrate how the block reward will change with the difficulty - http://fooplot.com/plot/srrudvj5ds

(Green=block reward 251-7000 Black=7001-250,000 Blue = 250,001-500,000 Pink = 500,001+)

It's been saying 9pm GMT the whole time, even before the official launch time was announced on cleanwatercoin.org - I think they were just guessing!

Not sure where they got those numbers from, but you can check the official countdown in one of these 2 places:

That countdown is wrong. The correct time is 10 pm GMT. Our website and altcoincalendar are correct.

I've updated the Pre-Launch Coin Investor totals and sent out emails to all the new comers. You can view totals and details on the spreadsheet linked below. BTC total as of this post is 5.33 so there are lots of coins up for grabs still! The PLC will close at launch, so there is approximately only 6 hours left to get Pre-Launch Coins.

Click the above link to view shares of the Pre-Launch Coins. If you've sent BTC and don't see your PLC ID number listed, or you haven't recieved a PLC ID number, please send us a PM and we will help you out!

Yes, we are testing a couple of different options Wink

However, we have all of our time and attention focused on the launch today, but we promise to respond to the X11 requests later this evening.
