What are the reason behind the rise of bitcoin?

It's always the market decision, the buyer and the seller.

Why is it that everytime the price reach a good profit level, everyone posts this kind of thread, no offense but in my opinion the rise of bitcoin started a long time ago, we are now in the limbo and experiencing the benefits of it, I do not think that the the increased in price show any significance rather than the holders have taken a profit from holding their bitcoin for a long time, this is just another bump in the prices and I think we should not hold it too dear. Trust me, when the prices go up again another thread like these will surely pop-up, I am not killjoy but I think there are more things to be grateful for rather than prophesizing that bitcoin has risen again.

If the Bitcoin hasn't been sold or bought and just been HODL until now we will not be in this level. If you think this is a redundant thread, report it, if you think this isn't appropriate in this board, report it, I assume you know how to report a reply or a thread. You can't decide what they'll do and maybe they're just new here so they posted or they just don't know where to discuss some kind of discussion, I prefer this on the Speculation board.

Bitcoin is so much potential coin. Now a days it is so much volatile. No one can tell the exact reason why Bitcoin rise or down. Buy in my opinion Bitcoin price is risen for demand.

is it possible that you used your own currency rate that's why it exceeded 500k and the $ is just a typo? in PHP(Philippine peso) bitcoin is currently at 540k according to google. nobody knows to what extent bitcoin will rise and for those who say that they know are just mere speculation and there is no point believing what they say.

Do you think ,what happened last 2018 will happen again this coming months?

nobody knows but there is still a possibility that it might happen but then again what I said is mere speculation.

For what I can see on CMC today, the price is starting to stabilize again, but now, in the price point of 11k dollars. There are 2 possibilities for me to happen, either bitcoin will continue to stabilize or to decline a bit and stays to 9k again. The reason is because of the inadequate activities and events that could make people buy and demand bitcoin.

Though, there are many tech news that speculates with why bitcoin is performing that way as of now, it is still hard to believe which one is true.

There’s more to offer in bitcoin with regards to price and it's features. This is what we can observe price is volatile and there’s a tendency it may rise and be back to $10k below who knows. From the start, bitcoin price has it's low an high so we cannot foresee if this time the rise will continue, but I hope it will.

Yesterday Bitcoin reached $11300 I guess less or more, And started retrace the price to lower prices. However, we will see the much higher prices soon and maybe the ATH before Christmas. But to be host reaching $500K will take more time for the market. Maybe on 2021 or maybe even of next cycle of the halving we will see this price but not soon. Also, reaching that price can be happen by just a sharp movement and then return the much prices.

This is in peso money 500k of bitcoin. You know we cannot tell if bitcoin will surge just what happens in 2018. But many prediction that price will increase again. It reached $11k btw, so there is a huge possibility to occur in bitcoin.

Excuse me, there's no $500k in the history of bitcoin price, bitcoin's ATH was just almost $20,000.. don't remember the exact figure, but that's pretty it, that $500k is just quite a dream for mot of us, if that will happen, I'll be very rich, remember that.

The trend is positive right now  for bitcoin, chances that those
who are from stocks are here
and start playing inside the market, though it's just speculative

Presently bitcoin seems to be testing the 11k levels, as many times it has moved above it and has dropped again to 10900$ levels, thus not able to sustain above 11k. So, might be it may take some time before either we see the rise again of the bitcoin or might also fall back a bit as it has rallied quickly from 9800$ levels till 11k price. Hope the price get stable above 11k.

I believe that growth is possible in the next few months. Everything will depend on the number of purchased bitcoins, if it is actively bought, then it is quite possible that the situation in 2018 will repeat itself. It is like a soap bubble - the more investors there are, the faster it can burst.

I got a paper income but not selling yet, I'm still hoping for a higher price and I know bitcoin can break the walls along its way, and beside my target price is still in place. The rise of bitcoin makes the market more active again and many are so happy because of the good decisions that they have made during the dump prices. I think it was quite expected since bitcoin had been in the same price range for quite long.
A move had to be shown to a change in the price. Many people were expecting a short term bull run by bitcoin.
Though bitcoin increased price, the altcoins suffered a good loss since many altcoins decreased in price as soon as bitcoin surged.
I guess people are moving their money from altcoins to bitcoin.
Though the price of BTC has increased I think there will be another correction where bitcoin's price will decrease again followed by a surge in it's price.

It is expected for Bitcoin to pump after the halving, not right away as predicted, but it's getting there.
This time however, I am not expecting Bitcoin and altcoins to make a crazy bullrun like in 2018, but rather a more steadily growth over a longer period of time.

Also, I doubt that price will go down from this point but it might happen only in a case of huge disaster where everyone just takes out their money and Bitcoin collapses.
There wont be another huge price drop simply because at one point it would not be profitable for miners. So either a small price drop or total annihilation. But those are the worst case scenarios.

Good case scenario is that Bitcoin is going to pump and pump big, so rejoyce. We are in the Bullish era again.

Edit: Sorry for putting a wrong number on the value of bitcoin, I didn't mean it. It is just above $10K and not $500K.
       I wrote this topic just for discussion in order to know the opinion and knowledge of everyone.

You are correct and it was 2018 when Bitcoin had another great run like this but this one looks more promising since we are also advancing in the use of technology. I guess it is still good to do day trading since you can get small profits along the way. Its also a good time to sell them or wait for an opportunity to buy them. My speculation is that Bitcoin might reach at least $13k to $14k.

The recent surge in bitcoin is of course expected by many long-term traders who have waited a long time for the increase to occur, there may be some people who benefit because the sales target has been reached. on the other hand, daily traders will also enjoy the benefits if a short-term increase occurs in bitcoin. but for now I think bitcoin price movements have stabilized and there are no signs of rising market prices
