The sales usually are worth millions so you're probably asking for thousands of dollars for the marketing you offer. (Which ofcourse we don't know how)
Now, as you are pretending to earn thousands so why not firstly arrange your thread in such a way that it contains each and every necessary detail. Also how about setting up a escrow to hold the funds?
No one might trust any random guy because the project they might be working upon might even be their dream and none of the individuals might play with their dreams by hiring any random guy who might even use unallowed marketing strategies which might completely ruin the project reputation.
