Too many people rooting for Atalanta, bit I don't see them in the UEFA European Europa League Finals. This is my opinion, but we will see what happens.

But it has to be put into perspective now, seriously! Yes, I was as shocked as everyone else when Liverpool lost that game at home 0-3 against Atalanta. But look at their development after the landslide victory against Sparta (6-1).

They lost in the FA Cup against Manchester United, first title gone. They then had 2 ok wins against Brighton and Sheffield, which was nothing impressive, but still ok and important. Then they had a first draw against Manchester United, dropped some points and that was the first setback. That was followed by this disastrous loss against Atalanta. Then the loss against Crystal Palace followed. Then they got eliminated by Atalanta.

I want to say that there is clearly a downtrend and despite the win against Fulham, Everton wasn't the biggest surprise here.

So this begs the question: how much does the Atalanta triumph over Liverpool really tell us?
