Currently, the points difference between PSG and Monaco is a little further away and will PSG be able to give a points difference to Monaco in the upcoming match?
On the one hand, Monaco will not easily beat Brest because Monaco has lost consistency and if Monaco loses points in the upcoming match, I think PSG will give a 9 point difference and it will be very difficult to catch up on the points.

For me I think it is a similar situation though I agree with you on the fact that Barcelona is far more valuable and attractive than Lyon but that notwithstanding, you should understand that this is sports business and precisely football which is a very lucrative venture and if you go back to 2005, 2006 or thereabout, you would have noticed that Lyon was a more valuable club in France than PSG due to their exploits in the Ligue1  where they won the title multiple times but after the takeover of PSG by the Arab investors PSG changed status, so it's relatively impossible for a club like Lyon not to attract investors if the club were to be put on sale.

What we are discussing is actually unfair if we compare Lyon with other teams in other leagues because of the different circumstances and conditions of the league. Whatever Lyon current condition is for me, it is very different from the team you said and even though Lyon current condition looks unstable due to financial problems, just wait until the end of the season I believe Lyon will rise again.
BTW, Lyon current performance is actually better than last season, I remember Lyon last season at the beginning of the season had a bad performance. While this season started the season very well.

If they could sell even 3 players at 20 million each, which they may do, that's 60 million, get about 20-30 million from sponsors and future rights, and you have yourself nearly 100 million income. Maybe someday Arab investors will be interested in taking over ownership of Lyon because after all, teams like Girona in La Liga are also part of the City Football Group. Although basically Girona is a mediocre team, of course it is different from Lyon which has a great history in Ligue 1. Also, about Newcastle in the English League also being the richest team although so far there has been no clear change there. But at least, with this example, Lyon should not be pessimistic because after all, maybe in the future Lyon will dominate Ligue 1 again with the presence of investors who make the team even better. I don't completely agree that financial stability don't play huge role in determining the success of a team because if not that a team like Barcelona managed to make improvements this season regardless of their financial status, we all saw how the team almost got destabilized as a result of financial constraints which led them to owing huge debts. Any team with financial crisis literally experience some decline in performance at some point unlike the teams that has good financial system.

PSG is one of the most successful team in France ligue 1 so the club has really made reasonable amount of money over the years so they are just facing real difficulty in winning the champions league but i just feel that the nature of the club has not really blended with the Champions league pattern. Since PSG has been able to move on very well without Kylian Mbappe, they don't need to sign many players again but the coach needs to restrategize, use different formation and techniques for the team, in due time they can possibly win the champions league.

That means they are in a 110 million loss for the season. How did they think that was okay? I mean let that aside, how are they not doing amazing with that much of a gap. If they did this without realizing what could go wrong, it's their own fault and they do deserve to go down.

Financially, it's clear that we are seeing them changing for the long term and doesn't mean that we are going to see a major change with Lyon at this late stage. Yes, PSG this season is also struggling hard to get a ticket to the last 16. As many as 4 matches have passed and PSG have not yet gotten maximum points this season, they have only been able to collect 4 points, so that currently they are in 25th position. They are in a fairly worrying position, this season will be quite difficult for PSG to qualify for the next phase, because in the remaining 4 matches they have to face 2 strong teams, namely Abyern Munich and Manchester City, which can make it difficult for PSG to get points to ensure PSG can advance to the next phase even though they have to go through the play-off route.

And if this season PSG is unable to secure a ticket to the last 16, this will be a bad season for PSG, because what they invested did not match expectations.

The situation is not simple because after investigated Lyon has over than 400 million debts and French financial authorities has give an ultimatum for Lyon until to solved these situations until this season ended and if Lyon failed to do that then they will punished relegated to Ligue 2 and the latest news i have read is Lyon also unable to bought new players this January and they only allowing to sell the players on that month which this is very bad because basically Lyon is still required to bought more players to strengthen the squad and indeed the best solution for Lyon is to sell some players but i think it might not be able to help much but after this news appears some of Lyon players are linked to some of big clubs

To get a big salary, maybe PSG is a club worth going to because they do have very good finances to provide big salaries to their players. No other team is able to break PSG's dominance because they do have difficulty recruiting quality players and maybe Monaco was once one of the clubs that was able to compete but in the end they still lost to PSG in the title race.

We know previously that PSG was not a strong team and even they were no better than Monaco who was considered the ruler of ligue 1 before PSG was acquired by rich investors, with strong financial support of course currently PSG has an advantage in recruiting star players and building a more competitive squad than other teams, I think their emergence as the only richest team in ligue 1 actually makes the competition that exists today very bad cause their dominance is very big, just like you, I also hope that if there are other big investors who want to acquire other teams besides PSG in Ligue 1, so that way we will see tighter competition happen later so that it will make the league more interesting to watch later.

PSG has not been able to play better outside Ligue 1 so it is not surprising that until now PSG has never won the UCL and has only won the Ligue 1 trophy. Meanwhile, other teams in Ligue 1 are also much worse because they cannot develop better in Ligue 1 and outside Ligue 1 so that often teams from France other than PSG are always considered weak when competing in the UCL or in the UEL. And this is of course based on their level of ability to buy players when the transfer market opens.
