Amen I the only one who enjoys watching games that produce multiple goals? Like the excitement that comes with watching thrillers is absolutely underrated in football if you ask me. Indeed  a really good attempt by Marseille to close the point gap but yet I don't see 10 points as small,  it's rather too wide that I may fear that it may not be covered till the end of the season,  and they aren't even going to have a chance at possibly challenging their top contender PSG so I think it's for them to further improve and make more attempts at trying to probably see to it that they are able to make up for all of the point gaps behind. If marseille can actually get to fight for the title so we see something different this season,  it will really be an interesting one.

Watching the second half only was the best decision as nothing happened in the first half. There were few chances but none of the clubs were able to score a goal. I have to say that the better club won this games as Marseille controlled most part of the game and they had more attack attempts that contributed to them winning the game. Lyon also tried their best, as they scored first but got outscored and they needed a penalty goal from Lacazette to equalize the scoreline but still Marseille got the last goal of the game and won the game with 3-2 scoreline. Marseille are second after this win and they're now only 10 points behind PSG that are leading the league.

Even if Marseille won against Lyon, they still have a big difference in points with PSG, the number one team in the points table. Everyone like me knows that PSG will eventually win the France league but I want one of the teams to at least compete with PSG in the end. At the start of the season when each team played a few matches we saw Marseille showing signs of competition with psg but they could not sustain that performance which led to a gradual increase in the points gap. In the middle of the season, the difference between Marseille and PSG has been made by ten points, maybe this point difference can increase in the upcoming matches. That is, the idea that we thought that any other team would compete with PSG in the title fight would not be true.

IMO, Marseille does not need to chase the points gap that is already far behind PSG and should prioritize the final result to be in the best position at the end of the season to get a ticket to UCL or UEL. So trying to keep getting points in every match is very important and all of that is done to provide a greater difference from Monaco. I hope at least Marseille can get the runner-up position.

BTW, Mason Greenwood performed better in yesterday's match, managing to score the first goal to raise the spirits of the other players.

It was a really hard-fought win for Marseille. I really liked the way Lyon resisted but it wasn't really easy for them to steal a point from this game anyway. Because Marseille were quite dominant. 

Now we see them 10 points behind PSG. Still the gap is too big though. I'm not saying that I believe in any other team to get the title from PSG's hands. But wouldn't it be nice to see some race for the title?

It looks like we will only watch the races for the Champions League spots and so on... It is hard to be sure of which teams to make it where. But I don't expect Marseille to lose a Champions League spot.

Honestly, Lyon is good and all, but saying Marseille had 2.04 odds was the mistake that they did already, it wasn't really a big game for Marseille. Sure it was 3-2, so it looked closer than it really was, but I knew that Marseille would have won this game without much trouble. Because of this, I believe that the odds were too good and oddmakers should have given Marseille something like 1.80 or less, because what they gave here isn't even remotely good at all, I would say it's definitely a big difference.

In the end, this week is over too, and I can see that ligue 1 is once again quite boring, as long as they keep being this boring, they are not going to really get anything out of the tv rights, their income will diminish on the long term as well. PSG isn't the only reason why the league is boring, City won at premier league for many years, but premier league was still fun, the thing that makes things very boring is all other teams looking quite bad.

The Marseille vs Lyon match yesterday gave us a more interesting and tight spectacle throughout the match, to be honest all this time I am actually more interested in watching ligue 1 when the mid-table team or bottom board team plays, because we can see the strength and also the balanced performance of the two teams and also give us a relatively fiercer match than when we see PSG playing so far,  Marseille victory over Lyon they got hard-won but at least  that it has shown mentality and revival after failing to win in 3 consecutive games before, but unfortunately the victory no longer have a great effect on their chances of trophies, because so far with a difference of 10 points from PSG it is impossible for them can back to be title contenders this season other than just continuing to fight to be able to get 1 league ticket champions league next season.
