Maybe coach Pierre Sage has another reason for including new names in this match and also what he saw during the training session did not show at all what happened on the field. Maybe it is also understandable if there are players who have not been able to adapt in the early matches and also player mistakes like that are also unavoidable.

I think the most important thing is that everything can be fixed quickly because if you just linger in sadness due to defeat, it will never end. Rennes played very well in this match so they were able to win with a landslide score. They have effective tools so that they can make good use of them when they get an opportunity. Actually, Lyon is not that bad, it's just that they have fragility in defense, they almost can't anticipate every attack made by Rennes. In the first 20 minutes they were not able to create full concentration, so the hosts, Rennes, could make good use of it.
In the previous season they were in the middle of the standings, Lyon had a better ranking at the end of the standings. But of course there is so much that changes when starting a new season and that is quite visible in this first match. We can still wait for Lyon's next match to see whether they will be able to improve their performance or not. But I think they can do better.

Paris Saint-Germain had a better squad in the past. Everyone saw them as the favorites in the Champions League the year Messi came, but they couldn't win. They've been aiming for this for many years, but they can't win. We can see a similar scenario this year. Also, this year's Paris Saint-Germain squad is more mediocre than last year's. The teams in Ligue 1 are worse in terms of quality and players. Honestly, I don’t think France’s league is in the top 5 of Europe. And I think we can see the reason very well when they come to play against teams of other leagues in Uefa Competitions. PSG also hasn’t been a top 5 club in Europe for a while. PSG did have the quality players necessary to win the Uefa Champions League but I think they lacked mentality. The mentality is what kept Real Madrid going. Now that Mbappe has joined Real Madrid, hopefully, he gets his hand on Real Madrid.

It is natural that PSG is always a strong candidate in Ligue 1, after all they have very healthy financial resources. Although currently PSG does not have a star player name as famous as the MNM trio, PSG still has a depth of players that is much more competitive than its rival teams. PSG steamrolling over Le Havre. Sure, its a win, but it doesnt exactly prove you're ready for the Masters. PSG lacks a very outstanding team. They certainly have talents. Still, Ligue 1 has grown as their particular playground. Its fantastic for their trophy cabinet, but it doesnt get them ready for the Champions League, the actual prize. And the true difficulty lies there. They've got a history of choking on the big stage, and losing Messi, Neymar, and now Mbappe? That is the same as removing the engines from a Ferrari. Though it still looks great, it wont win any races.

Thus, indeed, they can rule Ligue 1 all they desire. They are simply a huge fish in a tiny pond until they show they can hang with the big lads in Europe.

Regarding PSG and their player Gonçalo Ramos, it seems there is some bad news about the station of this 23-year-old player. In the game against Le Havre, Ramos got injured hard and he couldn't continue the game, he left the field in the first half. But it seems Ramos is going to be out for a longer time.

Don't forget the two players also scored their first goals in this victory and I think PSG don't need to worry about what happens next as long as they have players who can be relied on in the midst of difficulties. A terrible start by Lyon... I got caught by surprise about it honestly. Because you would remember the way they made a comeback previously. Being stuck in the relegation zone for many weeks but still finishing in a Europa League spot.

This was a great recovery and promising for next season too. But now this 3-0 loss against Rennes stayed way below my expectations.    I know it is was just the first game but it shouldn't have been this bad anyway.

I hope at least they don't make a similar start with last season. I really want to see them fighting for a Champions League spot. I have missed the old Lyon.

Because with the strength that PSG currently has when they manage to win in a match in Ligue 1, it will seem ordinary considering the difference in their level of strength is still very different so that no matter how good their performance is, it will not get too much appreciation and praise when they do it in Ligue 1.

What's the chance that he could have ever won a ballon D'or there? It was close to zero unless they pulled off a miracle and won the Champions League, but that wasn't to be expected.

But it was a bit of a surprise that he didn't win the La Liga game with Real Madrid today. I guess even Mbappe is just a human being who needs some time to get accustomed to the new environment.

Moreover, what is sought after when in a competition that is actually not too big (when compared to the EPL and La Liga) if not money Especially for some old players just like PSG did when bringing Messi and Sergio Ramos before because indeed money is always an attraction apart from competition for trophies. Especially for some players like Messi and Sergio who have received great achievements, the end of their careers is definitely the money they are looking for.

As for Mbappe, who is still very young, it is clear that this will not be forced to last long because after all there is still a lot he can achieve in other clubs, especially in Madrid where he currently lives. With the departure of Kylian Mbappe from the Parc des Princes stadium, I thought it would affects Les Parisiens performance but it turns out to be reversed.
