Luis Enrique is more worried about the Champions League match at the moment. PSG will play against the powerful Arsenal in the next Champions League match. Arsenal team is strong, also the match is Arsenal's home match. So it is challenging to perform well in this Champions League match against PSG. Lyon being bad is definitely something historically sad. I watched them dominate this league when I was growing up, during my college years Lyon was the best team and they had some great European games as well not just France, and unfortunately financial ruin caused them to never recover.

Lyon's decline occurred when entering the 2021/2022 season they struggled to be in the top 4 and ended up in the middle of the table until last season fortunately last season Lyon did not experience relegation even though this club had difficulty rising until finally they were able to survive the relegation zone it can be said that they are still lucky to get the chance to survive in League One this season. However, this season I do not guarantee whether they can survive in League 1 because they have again recorded poor results lately and I don't know what went wrong even though they recruited many players this summer and I thought Lyon could return to its best version, it turned out to be the same.

Donnarumma the Italian goalkeeper of PSG joined this team back in 2021 after leaving AC Milan once his contract was ended in Serie A and he decided to play for PSG until now.
During all these three years, Donnarumma had a good performance and he was effective in PSG the result they got because of saving his team many times in the games we saw from this goalkeeper so far, the contract of Donnarumma is going to end in 2026 but PSG doesn't want to take any risk and they decide to extend the contract of this 25-year-old goalkeeper since they start negotiations for it.

So far Lyon have not been in good enough form in the league and this shows that something is wrong with their at the moment, Lyon has spent a lot of money in the transfer market but they have not been able to show a sufficiently impressive performance and have only been able to win 1 win and also 1 draw from the 5 matches they have played, the match against Toulouse should be the beginning of their current resurgence because indeed Toulouse also has a bad performance this season, in terms of the game of the two teams I think is not too different and it is very likely that one of the teams will be able to win with a narrow score in the match, Lyon is in a big ambition to restore their current form and the victory over Olympiakos in the Europa League should be their motivation in the match to return to the positive trend in the league.

It would be a good call for PSG. Because they have a really solid goalkeeper and he is still very young (25). I still can't believe they signed him for free.    If I'm not wrong he had problems with Milan which helped this to happen.

Normally I wouldn't let go of such a goalkeeper. But currently Milan also have a really good goalkeeper like Maignan so no problem for them.

Anyways, Donnarumma makes 12.7 million euros a year for now and it goes up to 18 million with bonuses. But he is still not one of top earners considering how many players are ahead of him.

There are some good matches in the French Ligue 1. But I am interested in Toulouse vs Lyon, especially Lyon. They managed to turn into a good team in the second half of last season. But they started this season badly. They also started the first half of last season badly. And they finished the first half of last season badly. This season they have only one win. They only managed to beat Strasbourg. They conceded goals in all their league games. On the other hand, Toulouse, just like Lyon, have had bad results in Ligue 1 this season. Both teams are of equal strength if we make a comparison according to their results. I'm going to bet on both teams to score in this match. I think it will be a game with a lot of surprises.

To be fair Lyon was terrible at the start of last season as well, and they ended up being a lot better later on and finished fine. I am not saying that they will do the exactly same thing, but they did have a better start this time around, so it's possible that they could potentially have something that will benefit them and finish better, the potential is there and I think it will be fine without a doubt. I know that this looks like it is not a big deal for the time being because they are not at the bottom because they were literally at the very bottom last year for a few games, and then they started to do better.

I believe that financial troubles could be causing a lot of internal turmoil for them, there are rumours that they are not even capable of paying for salaries on time, they are having some big issues and if this keeps up then someone may have to take over the team, someone who would not even pay for the team, just accept the deal in exchange of taking on the debt, it's going that way. I think if this keeps going then we are going to end up with something that will not be all that easy to ignore, but for now Lyon isn't looking as bad as people make them out to be at all.
