PSG is now only waiting for the Champions League match to be held on May 30th as we are already noticing that all the matches in this French league have ended but PSG could not make the season completely positive by accepting an unexpected defeat in the last match of the season. Anyway PSG's main attacking players have already had a long break and they are also training for the FIFA World Cup for the sake of their national team, as we see. To be honest, there is only one match left for the reigning French champions in the 2025/26 season and as far as I know, that is the glorious UCL final,If they win this match, they will have the taste of bringing home the UCL trophy for the second time in a row.

Saint-Étienne drew with Nice in their first home match. We can say it was a match in which neither team played with much enthusiasm. With this draw, I think Nice has managed to gain the upper hand. We can now say that they will remain in the league, barring any unforeseen circumstances. Frankly, I don’t think Nice will lose at home against their opponent. Therefore, Nice will continue its run in Ligue 1.

It wasn't like a life and death play off to decide their fate for next season but it was understandable as it was the first leg so the goalless score that lasted until the end didn't surprise me.

This match was even quite monotonous so I only watched the first half without wanting to see how the game would go in the second half but after seeing the live score I was actually grateful not to see this match because in terms of statistics it seems that if forced I would definitely fall asleep if I watched until the end.
With this result, although there is no aggregate goal, leg 2 is clearly an advantage for Nice who will be at home and I hope that in the second leg which will occur in a few days the intensity will be more interesting than this first leg.

So if any important player in  the squad gets injured, their performance  deteriorates. PSG does not have this problem. They have  many talented players. So even if a  player gets injured, they can maintain  their performance stability.

In my opinion, the biggest advantage of clubs like PSG and Manchester City is that they have a lot of money to spend. So, if they have a player or players with a prolonged injury, they can easily go to the transfer market when it's open and buy a good player. And PSG are the favorites for the UEFA Champions League trophy, Arsenal a competent rival, also stands a chance if they can be truly amazing on that day, the possibility still swings 50/50 for both finalists.

It doesn't help if PSG loses or wins the last match, the Ligue 1 title has already been decided before the last game, it is not worth the risk of playing very intense, let the players prepare themselves for the UCL final and protect themselves against the World Cup.

I still don't understand by other clubs with very good potential won't get investors who cash splash in huge amounts of money like PSG got? The likes of AS Monaco, Olympique Lyonnais, Marseille are now nothing but shadows of their glorious past. Without the financial muscle, they won't be able to over power PSG. This could also improve the general picture and rating of the league that is barely watched worldwide. Not interesting to watch a league where you already know that a certain team is going to lift the trophy at the end of the season anyway.

First of all PSG is already quite rich, and I mean like willing to spend hundred of millions of dollars type of rich, not just normal rich. So if you ever want to do what they do, then you need to find some owners who is billions of dollars worth each, and they all have to get together and put up a ton of money.

So that means it's not even about networth, it's about income, you need people who make 50+ million in income every year at least, and find bunch of them to get together to buy a team, or you need to find just one, who makes 200+ million a year income, at least, that's bare minimum, may need more. There aren't that many people who are like that, and the few who can do that, do not really look to actually buy a team in France, doesn't look or feel like a great investment.

Honestly, i don't like Mbappe as a person. As a player, hats off to him, he is very strong, he has a sense of goal that reminds me a lot of Pippo Inzaghi, he really feels the goal on this without a doubt.
But he should learn to be more humble and less of an asshole.

This is the main problem with him, many people can see that he is a great player and he is doing wonderful when is playing up ahead. But personality means that you have to play in a way that it's a team ball, meaning you defend together, pass, run, even if it means you just get the defense on you and pull them away so someone else can score.

Mbappe is not that guy, he is the guy "give me the ball and i will score", and he does score, a lot, but as you can see, that type of playing doesn't bring any success.

so I'm misjudging it, i don't know. A team like Real Madrid being split because of a few troublemakers is not a very good thing, not only for Real Madrid but for football in general. It's not nice to see professionals arguing and hitting each other.

This is why EPL is different. We have seen rich investors buy EPL clubs and transform the club with their money to improve the club performance. It's only if such thing happen in Ligue 1 that we might see a big difference in the competition.

Yes, both leagues are always dominated by 1 club because they have the quality of players above the average of other clubs, but both clubs have stable performance not only because they are owned by rich owners but also accompanied by efforts and ambitions to become champions, other clubs can actually do it if they can have a high determination for example Lens this season this club almost made PSG lose the title but it is very unfortunate that Lens had to make a mistake towards the end of the season even though Lens looked very convincing.

Saint-Étienne and Nice performed poorly so they deserved the goalless draw they played yesterday. Since I started watching a football match I have never seen a match where the two teams involved didn't have a single shot on target, but I was able to witness it yesterday in the Saint-Étienne vs Nice match yesterday. Nice was a bit better than Saint-Étienne, and since the second leg of the French Ligue 1 relegation play off will take place at Nice home, I totally agree with you that Nice won't lose at home when Saint-Étienne visit them, so I am rooting for Nice to escape relegation and remain in Ligue 1.

The ability to sign quality players alone is not the only reason PSG  has been able to maintain dominance, They also have a good coach that has a vision and a dream that is been fueled by his passion for the team, that has in a ways also helped the team a whole lot because if a team has quality players with poor leadership, they may likely not do well because they will be highly dependent on individual brilliance and that can not fetch them much as it would when they have a coach that helps them coordinate good team play.

Paris Saint-Germain is definitely the best team and Arsenal must have the chance not to be crushed immediately by a team that will play everything on the attack without having any problems, but i understand that Arsenal won't hold back either, but i like to think that Arsenal have a chance of winning the match.
