I don't think it considers dumping at the first place in my part, I sold some of my holdings to take profit and for my coins not to sleep, its really the reality that people hold their coins, and sell when it already profitable, for people who just get into crypto, it's dumping in some sold the coins, but in reality, everyone does that to make a profit if someone told you that they just want to hold and not sell because they don't care of the value its 100% lie.

Everyone in symbolic activities and abundance dumps.Eventually the task will quit creating at all and the devs may begin unloading the tokens/coins they hold.I never hold the greater part of my tokens from abundance just those I think with potential.Holding tokens are not awful methodology you simply need to know whether that ventures are useful for long haul.

Yes, and usually people who hold tokens for a long time are people who already know very well about the ins and outs of a project and its development and also know the project team well, obviously holding new tokens in the long term is very risky and it is not a choice very good, so most people only choose potential tokens, this is a very common thing.

People are rushing to buy and sell new tokens that they've got.

The market is full of short term traders, those who are trying to ride with the flow. Many projects failed in the long run so basically investors
are really aiming for quick ride and sell once they've seen decent profits, they are no longer interested waiting as they know that if the project failed to perform they will waste money and opportunities.

I'm usually a holder I still coins and tokens I've got from Bounty campaign just like the two of the just recent projects I've participated in I'm still holding both of them but there are instances in the past that I dump my coins/tokens  because
The coin is not progressing and I want to buy coins that has more potential.

So what is or are your reason why you are dumping your coin?

I don't understand how to get rid of coins that have no sale value from my personal wallet. So if I know how to dispose of a non-prospective coin, I will throw it out of my personal wallet

I agree with you, dumping is more like selling all your coins to get out of the market. You don't really care so much about the prices and how much you are losing, in general you expect lower prices in the future so it is all about just getting out of the coin. Taking a profit is a good and necessary for a trader who wants to increase his portfolio. Only when selling and switching to a different coin we can make long term profits. With a HODL strategy we might make profits if prices go up but we won't get new coins like that.

I also have the same fear as what you feel, but gradually I started to think that if there are some tokens that deserve to be sold and there are also tokens that we have to throw away or sell immediately, before selling or holding bounty tokens, of course I am personally will continue to do research on the token project both on social media, websites and even in markets that list the token to find out how much chance the token will develop in the future so that at least when the token bounty price decreases or the price increases, of course I will not feel sorry at all. My advice before throwing away or holding a token is that you should first find out how good the project is.

Yes, I completely agree with you, we have already learned the lesson of 2017-2018. It is indeed more logical to sell all your tokens from the bounty to make a profit.

Sometimes is hard to know which last and which don't. If you sell early you loose the chance of getting that big chance in a lifetime.

I think everyone needs to come to the reality that not every single cryptocurrency that you have either through purchase or bounty of them or and a job is going to be successful so it is up to you to analyse each coin on its own according to your goals whether you're going to hold or you're going to sell off sometimes I find it easier to Sale of a portion of my coins and all the portion of it especially when I'm not so sure about the future prospects of that coin so it's all up to you to do your analysis and then make your decision from the result of this analysis

OP posted that on 7 Aug 2020, it was time of bear market and people started losing patience. Many sold coins at loss to smart investors. If he has waited for few more months he would be in current bull run where almost every coin is at its ATH.

Throwing away coins I think is very reasonable in crypto. I'm dumping my coins because because the coins or tokens I own did not develop.

The very problem with each investors, when there's  a dump and it takes a long time the pressure to sell and follow the trend is really tempting,

Even you are done doing your research you are still prone to take unnecessary actions that leads you to lose your investment.

If OP able to extend the wait, then yes he might be in green now, but that's the risk and it's unavoidable.
