Hello,

I was wondering, if there is a mobile wallet that will allow me to recieve and send funds via the same recieving and sending address again and again.
The ones that I've used change address automatically everytime for the privacy and thier algorithm is specified to do so. [Used: Blockchain wallet, coinomi, edge, mycelium]
The drawback that I am facing is I am able to sign a message only once via one adress and unable to do so again since it changes.

Any or all suggestions are highly appreciated.

Thank you.

It is a common myth that Bitcoin is ruled by a majority of miners. This is not true. Bitcoin miners "vote" on the ordering of transactions, but that's all they do. They can't vote to change the network rules.

You can use electrum if you want to show the same address, and also you can choose different address whenever you want if you want from the available addresses on the address option.

Electrum is defenately a good candidate, however, i think there's a little misunderstanding from the OP's side:

Those wallets you listed are all HD wallets, addresses get derived from a master key, each time an old address gets used, a new one gets derived (actually, most of these wallets pre-derive a certain amount of addresses beforehand). However, these wallets do not delete the previous private keys/public keys/addresses once they're used. You can keep on using the same address, your wallet should still be able to sign transactions and messages funding/using previous addresses.

I quickly installed coinomi, created a testnet wallet, funded the first address, created a second address, then tried to sign a message using the first address, and it works like a charm. PS: i'm not a big fan of coinomi, i was just testing it out really quick.

Yeah, Electrum is a good one, but it works only on Android. If you have an iPhone, use Jaxx.

Thanks for the recommendation!
I was looking for a mobile wallet on iPhone and thought Electrum was just not available in the german App Store!

I do not think that there is any problem if one of the wallets that I mentioned changes its address after each withdrawal of the blockchain wallet, and the other wallets mentioned are the most important and best wallets and the most used wallets, and I want to point out to you that you can use the old address even if it was changed inside the wallet. All of these addresses are linked to a single private key that can never be changed And if you want to use a different wallet than the ones I mentioned, you can use the Electrum wallet, as the other members have told you

Even if you have used that address, you can still use it again to receive transfers. It won't go anywhere, it's still on the same wallet. But to remove your worries, I'll reckon the suggestion for Electrum. It's one of the best.

Yea, I think so Electrum is a better option for you. Just make sure you have downloaded original software from the original website. Don't forget to verify Signature as well. Keep your seed in a safe place, write on multiple papers, and keep on multiple places as well. Don't store your seed in any online machine or don't share it with anybody. Anyway, use the same address, again and again, isn't a very good idea. But yes, you may sign a message from all the addresses from Electrum including.

Using mycelium without an HD wallet is an option too.
You could just create a wallet with a single private key and therefore a single address.

I don't know what your specific use case is, but this way you can have your signed message and always use the same address (as change address too).

If you're still looking for option, Trust Wallet should be on your list, especially if you're looking for multi-currency mobile wallet. Always do your DD though.

If you are going to use Electrum and don't want to use change addresses don't forget to disable it.
You can find it under the 3 dots then settings and it should be looks like this

Set it to no to disable it.

Coinomi will show a new address on the "receive" screen but you can continue using the old one to receive indefinitely. You can also sign messages from the app using any of your addresses. If it's also required that when you *send* that the coins come from that same address, the only way to make sure that this will happen is to send your balance to yourself first, then send the coins out. If any of your transactions have change, they will go to a new change address every time, so you would have to send the change back to the required address. I'm not familiar with any service that has that requirement, though.

Just a note to you fella, yesterday only I updated my electrum on PC because I rarely use them nowadays when I noticed the receiving address is not visible until you click the requestBTC button and don't forget that to set the address expiry to never to keep using the same address again in the future.

Congrats for your rank up, its just the first stem to become legendary still a long way to climb. Grin

I noticed the receiving address is not visible until you click the requestBTC button and don't forget that to set the address expiry to never to keep using the same address again in the future.

but you should still be able to go to your addresses tab and see all your addresses anyways. the receive tab isn't really needed in first place. in fact i think it is one of the most confusing features of Electrum wallet specially with the request option and its expiry.

I highly recommended the use of the electrum wallet because it has a lot of features you would like to enjoy and learn some of these are the :

A lot of bitcoin address "bc1"
The lever to your transaction fee
Adjust your transaction fee
Description
Confirmation status

These are the common things you could learn, so try it now but still be careful to that platform which is pretending the mobile electrum.

You can sign with your previously used addresses with Coinomi.

On the "Signing address" text area, simply put any addresses, including Bech32 address, and it is still valid if someone uses electrum to verify it. Type your message, leave signature empty, and sign.

PS: I'm not encouraging people to use Coinomi DYOR & DWYOR.

The Electrum wallet allows you to send and receive currencies without changing the address, but I think that changing the address is better because it prevents others from tracking your transactions through your transfer address

Which blockchain are you talking about bitcoin, eth? the changing address does not apply to every coins in that particular wallet. If you are talking about bitcoin I am having same experience with coinomi before but I figure it out that you can always use the previous address even if it changes that was before I don't know now. I suggest using Trustwallet their bitcoin address is only one in both receiving and sending. But you need to export your private keys to use it to sign message and 3rd party site to sign it. Trustwallet gives you only recovery phrase but you can convert that to pk using iancoleman but do it offline. Trustwallet is an alternative, Electrum is the best option no hassle.

That would be very hard to answer your question since you did not mention which crypto yoi are going to receive and send to another wallet. For electrum, you can install it on your phone which you can change in the settings to use only one address to receive funds, I have also use imtoken for erc20 and eth and many more.

OP mentioned electrum to the next destination, for sure his mean Bitcoin. Also, on HD wallet Ethereum address never changes every transaction.

Quote
Ethereum addresses do not change for every transaction, as individual ERC-20 tokens need to be tied to a specific address which contains ETH in order to be sent out of that particular wallet.
