I think Ripple has a big potential to be the next bitcoin and become the top rank cryptocurrencies knowing that for the a few months ago it surpasses ethereum coin to its rank and became the highest ranked altcoin for almost a semester. But if that will happen there are many hole that Ripple will go through before surpassing the bitcoin's reign.

The XRP movement is very good for now, I hope that XRP will continue to increase, if the prospect is good it could be that XRP is superior to ETH while stepping over BTC in my opinion is still difficult, because BTC is the king of cryptocurrency

As we all have seen ripple has been quite strong these past few days and with all that it has done over the past months compared to most other currencies and the launch of xrapid is actually starting to show in its price.
There is so much talk about ripple taking over bitcoin and being 10$ what are your thoughts on this?

Even though I also like Ripple but we have to be realistic that Ripple can not overcome Bitcoin about capitalization and its influence on this market. Bitcoin has strong strengths that Ripple is difficult to break: community supported, decentralize , limited

You should learn more about bitcoin and study more about it then you'll surely know why ripple is not the next bitcoin as you have came up with. Firstly, the bitcoin is up and running since 2009 which is longer than the other cryptocurrency and that means many people have adopted bitcoin and many did use it.

LOL Ripple's system is centralized in which many of us are even not recommending investing in it for the long term. Would you think a controlled system would defeat a crypto that took so many years to gain its current value and had many halving just to strengthen its volatility? Is XRP really that good in terms of the long term usage?

Yes, XRP has a great system that has fast transaction speed with low transaction fees. And yes, XRP has a chance to have its price bigger than it currently was. But then defeating BTC? Even the popular ETH were having a hard time reaching the Bitcoin's price, what more with a centralized crypto right?

Yeah it is,In your Dream lol.

How can you expect a currency with a Billion supply will take over a currency with 21 million supply?and how can you expect the price and support will come to a currency in which titled as Centralized currency that supported with Banks? You are interpreting this market badly mate and better change course..

You should learn more about bitcoin and study more about it then you'll surely know why ripple is not the next bitcoin as you have came up with. Not only the next Bitcoin but "Will Never Be " because This currency has no capacity in making such claim and have no enough support from the investors .

Sorry for XRP holders but we all know that this will never even reach a 20$ value not now and not in the near future.

I don't know where you find these talks but you are not looking at the whole picture on how you compare Ripple to Bitcoin the gap is very wide in fact if you are going to take a poll here 90% will vote for Bitcoin.

I admire ripple because they have good communities and many supporters as well. They also have one of the fastest blockchain network and they only requires small transfers fee and that's what really matters to me. Ripple  serves as  my alternative way of cashing out on exchanges because of less fees. Nonetheless, it will never be the next bitcoin and no one will be because it's the roots of all crypto and the king that most invested and most popular of all.

Why the difference in position of Ripple on coinmarket (3rd position) and Coingecko (4th position)? The difference in marketcap is significant ($2 billion) and I dont know how both platform came across the figures.

Coinmarketcap does not verify data, do you still remember the p2pb2b exchange incident? They enter the exchange with the most volume according to coinmarketcap, but we all know that p2pb2b uses bots to get high daily exchange volume, coingecko is better than coinmarketcap.

I think this will happen because there are certain interests that can indeed occur, because it goes back to the principle of whether we can believe it or not and we need to also assess it properly because business competition can affect actual events. but fortunately there are two versions that we can use to cross the correction between cmc and coingecko.

the ripple issue seems still far from being discussed because it still takes time to get close, let alone replace it.

The discussion and the subject is a bit different .You were saying about few update by ripple but it still quite impossible to be the bitcoin .Its a centralized bank project as i know its totally controlled by them so i think there is no chance to be a huge one like bitcoin.

"So much talk about ripple taking over bitcoin and being 10$??" What the hell are you even talking about? So much talk by whom??? Show us these posts.

A few days ago, you wrote this, but I guess you're too busy copy-pasting your Twitter links to remember what you posted 10 days ago:

all can make predictions and cannot be blamed for doing that because no one will be harmed by their predictions. although maybe the person who made the prediction is a person who is famous in the field of crypto, even though he could have made a wrong prediction and will not guarantee it can be true.

what is needed is the analysis itself because it determines where and what we will do, all the information is sufficient as a guide in helping to carry out further analysis.
get used to being able to analyze every token movement that we might be holding, because the need to analyze is pretty much available and we just need to determine what we will use to be the basis of analysis.

As you said so nicely: what is needed is the analysis. Then why don't you give us your analysis on Bitcoin and Ripple?

Bitcoin is a libertarian concept. Ripple is a centralized coin that users can't even mine themselves. They couldn't be more opposed to each other.

Instead of posting here, spend your time reading the Ripple Protocol and the Bitcoin Whitepaper. Will be a lot more useful to yourself and to this community.

Ripple has the potential but if we will be talking that it can follow the footsteps of bitcoin or it will replace bitcoin in the future. Then my opinion to it is, Ripple team need a lot of effort first
before they can actually do it.

Ripple was able to replace Eth last time, they should do it again first before they will start to compete the bitcoin who are in the first or the King of crypto currencies. Ripple didn't reach 1$ yet and it's ATH is only 3.84$ therefore 10$ is too much but everything is possible. I will be looking forward on how they can do it.

I don't really agree if Ripple can be called the next generation of Bitcoin. Because Ripple and Bitcoin are far different and cannot be compared. Ripple uses a banking system, while Bitcoin uses the Blockchain technology system. From there it's different, therefore RIpple won't be able to be like Bitcoin.

You need to do your research Ripple and Bitcoin are world's apart Bitcoin is decentralized while Ripple that you really like is a centralized coin, it will never be better than Bitcoin although it's profitable to invest on Ripple there's no way it can surpass Bitcoin.

True ripple is doing better than the other coins these days but i wont go as far as saying that it would be the next bitcoin, its a bit too premature for now to make such assumption. The next coin that would say comparable to bitcoin should maintain a bullish run and so far, coins havent been able to do that recently.

I hold the converse opinion. I think there is no any of the crypto could overtake the place of BTC, even ETH cant, not to mention XRP. I even doubt whether XRP could stay in the third place in the future, because there are still a lot of promising tokens are active in the crypto market, like EOS, LINK, ADA, XTZ, etc.
