I would say that Chelsea's improvement is possible because of Enzo Maresca. Enzo is a great coach. Honestly, none of us thought that we would see such a great performance from Chelsea this season. I didn't even think that Chelsea would be able to come in the top four of the table. Due to Enzo's excellent match strategy, Chelsea's overall performance is now very stable. This team is performing well consistently. That is why Chelsea is now in the second place of the table.

Chelsea already got good foundation by their previous coach, Pochettino, but he failed to find an agreement with the club owner for development plan. They separated with a contract termination and Enzo Maresca was hired in massive doubt. Joining a big club like Chelsea with doubt but Maresca proved that he is a good choice for them at least so far and with many young players in the club, who also shown their growth in the last two seasons, I see bright future for Maresca, these players and Chelsea in general.

However, we still don't know how Chelsea will perform in the long run. Chelsea's squad is not as strong as Arsenal and City. Even then, this team is playing well. Especially Chelsea's attacking players are in good shape at the moment. Chelsea players have been able to score 35 goals in 15 matches. Chelsea is now the highest scorer in the Premier League.

Their developmnet needs time but they are growing very fast in this season, top four is in their hands and now they can focus on higher target like a second position. They are at this position already, but it's time to maintain it, defend it against pressure from Arsenal and Manchester City, as well as wait for bad results from Liverpool for opportunities of joining the title race.

Chelsea should replace Cucurella with someone else, he made two blunders which resulting two goals conceded. Sancho played really well in this match, I think Chelsea should bring back Mount, he was a great attacking midfielder, so he can be a substitute in case Palmer is absent.

Leicester City also great to equalize the points, Brighton is one of great team, it was not an easy match.

Chelsea has a good performance against Tottenham and we all can believe that Chelsea is back to their best performance, Chelsea game against Tottenham is the best game of the week because both teams play well, if not the chances Tottenham players miss they will have equalize and end the game draw, Chelsea is at the second position in the league table and any time they ask Enzo Maresca he will said that Chelsea can not compete with Liverpool, Manchester City and and Arsenal.

Why do people keep saying that Chelsea are not playing to win the league title. It sounds somehow to me because Chelsea now has the best performance after Liverpool in the EPL and they have got awesome strikers.

That’s what even Enzo Maresca has been saying, maybe he doesn’t want pressure to be on the players, because I don’t think a club will be winning all their matches, and they will be in second position, just 4 points below the club that’s in 1st position, and they won’t be aiming for the league title. I don’t think that’s really possible, but Enzo Maresca is just saying that just to reduce the pressure on the players, and from the way Chelsea is playing currently, anything can still happen. I won’t be surprised if they end up winning the league title, because I just love the energy they are playing with.

Nobody expected such a result, especially after 15 minutes of the first half, when Tottenham scored 2 goals and could have scored the third, and Cucurella made 2 gross mistakes that led to the goals and I thought Maresca would replace him at half time, but Cucurella changed his boots and helped the team to win.
Palmer is a phenomenal player and probably Chelsea's best transfer in 10 years. Palmer scored 23 goals and gave 13 assists in 2024, and before him only Hasselbaink did that 23 years ago.
It's a mystery to me why Palmer hasn't been nominated for the golden ball award yet with his stats.

Tottenham as always failed to show their character on the pitch and fell apart after four Chelsea goals and you can see that the team just has no character and whoever coaches Tottenham this always happens.

Usually in the second half Tottenham play better, but not in this match, they played badly in the second half so they were unable to take advantage and maintain their advantage. Even for the second penalty that Chelsea got, it was a violation that should not have been done by Tottenham's back line. And in this match, Palmer took 2 penalty executions, he kicked the ball well and I saw no hesitation when he executed the 2 penalties. so that in the end Tottenham had to lose narrowly in this match, and on the other hand thanks to this victory Chelsea managed to overtake Arsenal's position and now Chelsea is in second place in the standings.

Before the game, I predicted a draw because Wolves always appear to make it difficult for their opponents to win and they could do everything in their power not to lose against West Ham, but the victory was not on their side. Two poor teams taking advantage of each other. The match could have ended draw but the officiating was not fair enough against Wolves. West Ham were practically the better team but the referee and var denied Wolves two clear penalties that could balance the game. He should able to save that because it's an easy shot. Not surprising to see his rate is 3.2, he played really poor in this match.

Manchester City game would only be boring to those who do not want them to lose or draw or possibly biased, they played well as a team even with the draw against Palace. Was happy to see Diaz returning to action in defence with a top performance. He has said this would be a season to struggle,  finishing top four should be a miracle for them. There's nothing about winners syndrome,  tjry have injury crises and they played a side who had players ready to run like mad bulls for 90mins. Who will end the unbeaten run of Brentford at home?!

Even De Bruyne back to be a starter, it's not enough to make Manchester City to win easily. The performance of both Crystal Palace and Manchester City are equal, but Crystal Palace is actually didn't have a good history, so this mean Manchester City is still in bad performance.

The one who will stop Brentford at home is Arsenal, the match will happen in the beginning of next year.

Yes, this season Chelsea can indeed recover from its downturn. From your statement it seems your a Chelsea fan too, it would be nice to know you're supporting the pride of London, anyways I'll be much more happier if Chelsea qualifies for the top four and atleast try to win the Conference League trophy, even if we don't win the Conference League trophy, qualify for top four alone would be a big achievement this season.

 It would motivate the team to do better next season, like contending for the trophy and I'm pretty sure that Todd Boehly would be very busy next summer strengthimg the team if we qualify for the Champions League, especially the defence and attack area, our defenders are trying no doubt but we need experienced players in that area, and a quality goal getter for the top 9, someone like Osimhen or Viktor Gyokeres.

Actually, I think the goal of  the Chelsea team is to  win as many matches they can and also as many numbers of goals they can. If they can make it to the top then it's a plus, after all we are the underdog this season. After so many disappointing seasons, we the fans are now happy and enjoying our games.
