I think it's a good idea to create a new thread about Premier League prediction 2020/2021, because the old thread that opening post
has not been updates for a long time. I am also excited that the Premier League season 20/21 will roll out in a few weeks, especially
since the transfer market is getting more and more interesting. Several big teams such as Manchester City, Liverpool, Chelsea and Arsenal
have got some of their target players. And I'm not sure Liverpool is able to defend the Premier League trophies, possibly Manchester City
who will win the 2020/2021 season trophies.

It would be a good season to see Leeds participating after so many years.
Leeds is a historical club that was missed all this time from the league.
I hope they are going to build a strong team and see them being competitive as it used to be when Viduka and Kewel were playing.

looks like Leeds have serious ambitions and targets...
Leeds can be a big surprise this season, we'll see, what they will show.

Quote
The Independent reported that Liverpool and Leeds United have the same opportunities as all clubs that intend to secure Lionel Messi's services.

The Liverpool duo, Divock Origi, and Rhian Brewster, are reportedly a target for the transfer of Leeds United.

Silva is a small loss for Manchester City. Moreover, they will buy strong players in defense and most likely in midfield. Guardiola is a smart coach. And with Manchester City finances, he will definitely take the championship and the Champions League next year.

As you know I have backed the blues. But it just a punt.

There will be about 5-8 capable teams in the league. I would be surprised if Liverpool could manage to repeat it again this season.

After a bit of football overload they have now got me hungry again they know what they are doing.

How beautiful it is for English clubs to return to compete for the title this season, I think that Man City and Chelsea can achieve results that satisfy the fans, but I do not know if clopp will continue to perform the fighting offers he presented last season. So we will wait for what the English clubs can offer this season!!

I think they will probably win the PL fairly easily this year, but with the CL that's a whole different ball game as you're coming up against the best of the best in Europe. If Barca can get thrashed 8-2 by Bayern and City get knocked out by Lyon that just shows you that anything can happen. Maybe if City get Messi then they might have a better chance at it but Messi didn't stop Barca getting pummled.

As you know I have backed the blues. But it just a punt.

They already did. They bought Nathan Ake from Bournemouth this transfer window and he is a great defensive player, not that great but will definitely work well along with City squad. They have brought in Sane replacement as well. I think City are a great squad, they have players , coach and everything but they sometimes feel like get overconfident a lot and some underdogs take advantage of that.

Btw I am Gunners fan @Trofo. Last season didn't went well for the Gunners but I have slight hope for a better finish from Arsenal. Not expecting big like winning the PL but yeah Arteta is doing great and he will certainly change things in upcoming season. Second club I support is City.  Cool

And I'm not sure Liverpool is able to defend the Premier League trophies, possibly Manchester City
who will win the 2020/2021 season trophies.
I hope there will be a surprise with the new champion. But in my opinion it will be difficult to shift the dominance of the big clubs in EPL. To guess this it will be very difficult the competition will still last a long time. Looking at transfer seasons and players alone is impossible, if your guess is right it could be luck. But I think the champions will still be around MU, Arsenal, Chelsea, Liverpol, Man City and maybe Tottenham.

I am going to cut few teams from your list as right now these teams are not capable of becoming champions these need some more time for me Chelsea, Liverpool, Manchester City and Manchester United these are very strong candidates for winning this year EPL Arsenal and Tottenham still not capable.

No surprises I think. The champion will be Manchester City or Liverpool. I’m leaning slightly towards thinking Man City will regain their crown. I think Chelsea 3rd & Man Utd 4th.

Don't underestimate teams like Chelsea. They have been very busy in the transfer market and have currently packed a suite of armory for next season. I won't be surprised if they pose a serious threat in the 2020/2021 campaign.  As much as I would love to see Liverpool winning the title for the second time, it won't be as easy as it was. We're in for yet another action packed premier league season!

Liverpool, Manchester City, Man Utd, Chelsea, Arsenal and even Mourinho's Tottenham are title contenders.

Yeah, Chelsea have bolster their squad with new additions to their squad. Arsenal are also buying defense and with Arteta fixing the mid I do feel like this will be a better season for Arsenal as compared to previous. United had a rough time at start but they settled down with Bruno handling the mid well. So yeah these teams from big 6 are also be some real contenders for the title.

I think that in the end this is what we all want to see,Premier League being back to regular season with not one or two single teams dominating. This has been the case for many years in the Premier League and this has been the reason why many consider it to be the best league in the world.Italy,Spain and Germany leagues are usually dominated by a single or two teams and that is why they don’t have as much fans as the Premier League does.

It was tough few seasons for you Gunners fans. For me if they manage to clinch some place which leads them to Europe next season they have to be happy. Champions league place would be overachieving if Premier Leagues still gives 4 spots for CL. First 4 spots are probably reserved for City, Liverpool, Chelsea and United. That 5th place is something for which Arsenal can realistically fight for with Spurs, Leicester and Wolves.

Have you guys managed to get rid of Ozil? I can't believe he is in the top 10 highest wages among the footballers and i don't remember a single game he influenced in Arsenal favor in last 2-3 years. The rest of top 10 are players like Ronaldo, Messi, Neymar, Mbappe who make difference every single week. There are also Grizmann and Bale in that company which arguably did not do much better than Ozil but I would still rather have them in the club Smiley

Ozil’s on massive wages at Arsenal, it’s been a failure of a signing. He’s so talented but I don’t think I’ve ever seen a top player with such little desire, motivation & fight. He’s clearly just in it for the money & has no love for the game. I’d really dislike him if I was a Gunner.

It was tough few seasons for you Gunners fans.

Yeah it was totally. Things were more disastrous when Emery was there but he was sacked. This was all with the managing style and players with calibre being given a chance. Arteta came in and changed that. He obviously took time but he switched Ceballos in place of Guendouzi and things went better. He gave Saka more chances and if I recall correctly there was a time when Emery used to roll Saka in defence.

It was really wierd. I really lost my hope with Arsenal but I can smell things changing around and this time we might have a shot for better finish. Even lifting PL would be great but there are so many big hurdles so kinda leave that into my dreams.

Have you guys managed to get rid of Ozil?

Ozil’s on massive wages at Arsenal, it’s been a failure of a signing. He’s so talented but I don’t think I’ve ever seen a top player with such little desire, motivation & fight. He’s clearly just in it for the money & has no love for the game. I’d really dislike him if I was a Gunner.

When Ozil came in, I had high hopes from him and he did well but I guess age also sometimes pulls player down. His position is certainly an issue since he is pulling off big wage. I don't dislike him but it starting to feel like tending towards burden a bit more so I am kinda picturing like what Arsenal did with Sanchez maybe.

Liverpool, Manchester City, Man Utd, Chelsea, Arsenal and even Mourinho's Tottenham are title contenders.

chelsea almost build a whole new team for the next season. according to the soccerway (https://id.soccerway.com/players/), this the current list for their new players for the next season.

01/09/20   D. Zappacosta   Roma
01/09/20   V. Moses   Inter
27/08/20   M. Sarr   Nice
26/08/20   B. Chilwell   Leicester
31/07/20   I. Brown   Luton
27/07/20   H. Ziyech   Ajax
27/07/20   T. Werner   Leipzig
01/07/20   J. Blackman   Bristol Rovers

meanwhile, others still busy with Messi's future club.  Grin

I support Liverpool. Right now I dont have any prediction yet because Im still waiting for the market transfer results. There will be a lot of change in the next year. Mostly because Messi has already claimed he's going to leave Barcelona. Pep Guardiola also invites him to come over Man city - according to many media. If it truly happens, Man city will become the strongest competitor and its hard for any team want to become the Championship

Well, really want to see what will happen in the next few weeks
