In the last 4 matches of both teams playing against each other at their various home games, both teams have won in their respective home games(Liverpool won twice while Manchester City won the same). That makes me give the 3 points to Manchester City by Saturday.

They achieved poor results with 4 draws and 1 defeat, this is quite a bad record considering their performance since last season has been so satisfying. Their next match will visit Nottingham headquarters and they must win if they don't want to be displaced by other teams. I think De Zerbi's squad will have to do a good job this week as West Ham are starting to stalk them by just 2 points. If Brighton draws or loses then they will likely be knocked down to 10th place next week.

I would also prefer to bet on Man City. Because in the last 2 meetings between Liverpool and Man City which were held at the Etihad Stadium, the result was always the same, namely victory for Man City. I also think Manchester city will have maximum points against Liverpool in this fixture. They’re playing at Etihad and they’re always decent when playing at home. There were injury concern of Halaand during the international break with Norway but I think he’ll be fit for that game. Haaland is currently leading the Premier League goalscoring charts for a second consecutive season with 13 goals in 12 games and provides City's biggest attacking threat. Although Liverpool have been very solid defensively this season and also think Liverpool will not totally sleep out for Manchester city to dominate.

However, Liverpool were one of the few sides that Haaland failed to score against last season and I am sure he will be hoping to get off the mark against Manchester City's closest league competitors at the Etihad.
