They're completely out of line because they can't even possibly net a clean goal at home today against Manchester City. This is precisely one of the big games and test for Enzo Maresca but he failed woefully. The Blues have to maintain brilliant performances because they just have to get back on their heel.

Changing of coach is going to tell a lot on them and they are going to see the effect soonest, maybe they were thinking the previous wasn't doing enough to get them what they wanted and untill they see how the team will be struggling again to adjust to the new strategy and tactics they are introduced to them they will understand the importance of the coach who they sacked thinking he wasn't doing enough when he was already at the brink of reviving the team back to winning ways and hopefully they would see a chance at the premier League title sometimes soon but then let's give them some more time and see how well they will do after now.

I think Chelsea can improve and come up with better performances if they can work on their weaknesses. I watched the game from the first minute till final whistle and if you ask me, I think it was an end to end stuff from both sides but Manchester City were able to convert their own chances while Chelsea failed to do same. Enzo Maresca in his first game of the season faced the league champions so I wasn't expecting anything better than what we saw. I believe Chelsea can challenge for trophies with Maresca if the club continues to offer their support to the former Leicester City manager

In my opinion, Chelsea did not play too badly today and that's probably because Manchester City didn't play excellently. Manchester City were without Rodri and it showed. They missed him.
Chelsea on the other hand did a couple of things right but couldn't score. How does a club spend over 1.3 billion and still have a player like Nicolas Jackson as their main striker? He was part of the reason they didn't score in the first half. The backup striker of this team is an academy graduate from Barcelona who was not good enough to replace an ageing Lewandoski.

Also, why did the coach have to play Enzo Fernandes as a no 10? Isn't he supposed to be a deep-laying midfielder? Since when did Enzo become a creative or attacking midfielder?
I know it's just the first game, but these are things that a coach should have known since.
Jackson shouldn't have started the second half, Enzo should have been taken off and Palmer should have taken the number 10 role. Pedro Neto should have come in to take over the right wing.
Well, it's just the first game, let's watch and see if Chelsea can get better.

Todd Boehly doesn’t look like he knows what he is doing. Most of the problems the club is facing could have been avoided if Todd Boehly allowed the managers to sign the players they wanted. I sincerely miss the Roman Abramovich - Chelsea era where mediocrity was never tolerated. Chelsea is not a club known for its patience, it’s in their DNA to win…at least it used to be. I’m impressed with how well Chelsea fans are taking the loss to Manchester City, it’s as if they have ruled out the possibility of ever winning this Pep’s side in the EPL.

In terms of statistics, they are not too different from Manchester City, but there are several things that make them lose in this match, such as when their defense cannot read the movement without the ball from Manchester City and of course finishing is still not too good to date.

Chelsea to me are usually very serious against Manchester city just like last season but as usual they lack the same things they lacked last season which is lack of a clinical striker to help kill the game before it even started, Jackson was just simply doing tricks and no end product. Another major Chelsea problem is the lack of creativity in the midfield, the combination of Lavia, Caicedo and Enzo simple adds just energy to the midfield and not creativity which I think moving Palmer there could help solve because Enzo isn’t that flexible to play there

Simply put, Chelsea didn't play badly today but the opponents they faced were too strong. If Chelsea were to face a mediocre team, it seems that with the performance shown, they could easily secure full points, but once again Manchester City are still too strong to beat. In my opinion, Enzo Maresca really needs a striker of better quality than Nicolas Jackson, he is still too far away if he is expected to be the next Drogba. In addition, Enzo Maresca also seems to need to experiment more with his midfield, as you said Cole Palmer seems suitable to fill the position occupied by Enzo Fernandes.

The winning tonight shouldn't come to you as a surprise because it was bound to happen as every other factor supported it. From the records, Manchester City have always won Chelsea for several years now and the last time Chelsea won them was in 2021 during the Champions League encounter. Maybe it was the Champions League defeat that infuriated Manchester City that made them play Chelsea with anger as a way of revenge. Chelsea have to do better this season if they have the hope of qualifying for any of the European competitions next season.

I'm sure many people are favorites for Manchester City to win against Chelsea and I'm also sure many people are betting on Manchester City winning and I personally also bet on Manchester City winning and my guess is also correct that Haaland score a goal.

I am also disappointed by Chelsea that how they played against Manchester City. This is problem because teams need to do well at home in Premier League. But here is one more thing that we should not judge them yet. New coach and team need time to work together and figure things out. Let's wait and see how they do in their next games before deciding how their season will go. And I hope they will do well in future.

Chelsea are in their crisis that seems to be resolved partially in late of last season but from it, they actually need a significant time to come back as a title competitor. In contrast Manchester City have been familiar with Pep Guardiola as their head coach for many years and this win for Manchester City is predictable. After a first match day, Liverpool, Manchester City, Manchester United, Newcastle United, and Arsenal all have three points and they are sharing top positions of the league. Their good beginnings make the title competition more exciting.

Yeah I have to admit this is beyond expectations, at first I thought Chelsea would play their best because they were playing at home but unfortunately no, they didn't even score a goal and Manchester City are still the same as last season as a formidable team. But yeah we still give Chelsea a chance we can't conclude anything from just one match especially since their opponents are the strongest team in the Premier League that means we have to look at the next few games.

Today we still have one match between Leicester City vs Tottenham, for now we can't predict Leicester's strength because they are a promoted team this season while Tottenham seem to be the same as last season but there is a slight improvement in the attack and midfield and it was worth waiting for. Will Leicester City have a surprise like 2016?

Chelsea indeed fought very well in that match. In fact, I think their performance is not that bad. Losing by 2 goals without reply by Man City is normal considering that Man City has been the strongest club in the Premier League in the last few seasons. Meanwhile, Chelsea, which is full of young players, is just a club that is trying to get back on its feet. Because on the other hand, Chelsea is a club that has been in decline for several seasons. Chelsea just keeps on buying players who flops right after joining Chelsea. And moreover, they are selling one of their best performers from last season, Connor Gallagher. Mudryk, Nkunku and many more signings have just been disappointing. And now there have been talks about signing Osimhen. Honestly, I don't think signing more players would make any difference in this squad.

Chelsea's main weakness is their management. The performance of Chelsea team is poor now because the management is not experienced enough. It is not possible for any coach to transform a team into a strong team very quickly. It is a long term and time consuming affair. But Chelsea management wants to improve very quickly. They are not interested in giving any coach more time. So if a coach doesn't perform as expected, they fire the coach and hire a new coach. If the new coach does not get the expected results, he is fired again. We have been seeing this for the last 3 years.

Pochettino should not be sacked by Chelsea management. Because he was able to make this group strong enough. If Pochettino had been the coach of Chelsea this season, we might have seen a stable performance from Chelsea.

Excellent example yesterday showed Chelsea, who bought Enzo and Caicedo for 100 million each, and they showed a game worse than Kovacic, which the same Chelsea sold to City for 30 million. The sacking of Pochettino will still be remembered when Chelsea failures will be more and if Maresca will not be able to change something drastically in the game of Chelsea, I think in the middle or at the end of the season, his replacement is possible.
