With the new Chelsea board and management, I feel like I can not bet on Chelsea to win and lose at the same time. Chelsea is likely to struggle in many games this season, and I can’t afford to bet on them losing. Every team seems to be chasing a better version of Guardiola, but Chelsea doesn’t measure up mentally or tactically. I didn’t see any new patterns of play today in fact, the style they played today was disappointing and made little sense.

Chelsea still have a lot to improve this season if they want to compete better in the Premier League, because if they don't improve their way of playing in every game, it will be very worrying that they will have to fight not to be relegated this season. Because all other teams in the Premier League at this time (excluding the promoted teams) have made more significant improvements so that they can compete in every game even if they have to lose, but not ridiculously.

I thought Chelsea would at least give us a more interesting game and give Manchester City a tough one for their time but unfortunately the visitors beat them in their own home field. This is just the new season and Chelsea are with a new coach which he’s suppose to show how good he is in this first match while playing with a big team, it’ll increase his prestige in the eyes of other coaches and also the team’s management. I don’t know how Chelsea are going to farewell in other matches but I’ll have to wait to see how they play before one can start making more assumptions or conclusion on how the Chelsea team is going to be this season.

I am also disappointed by Chelsea that how they played against Manchester City. Their new coach had chance to show how good he is but they lost at home which is really bad for them and this is disappointing moment for fans too. This is problem because teams need to do well at home in Premier League. But here is one more thing that we should not judge them yet. New coach and team need time to work together and figure things out. Let's wait and see how they do in their next games before deciding how their season will go. And I hope they will do well in future.

This proves that Chelsea's effort to buy someone who has Pep's blueprint is not working well. The truth is that Pep is the one who can fully understand what he is doing. Maresca is nothing compared to Pep. Also, Chelsea never lost to City last season. It's disappointing to see us fall after the new coach took over.

Though we are still at the early season, the judgment of their performance is a must. This was because we experienced this before under Potter and Lampard. It's kinda weird if we repeat the same mistakes under a new coach.

We made huge progress under Pochettino last season. But, due to our selfish owner, we're back to bottom. And now, we're a group of overpriced players with no chemistry.

What do you want Chelsea fans to say that we haven't said before to be frank the team performance is discouraging while Chelsea as spent above any other team the problem here's that they have often gone for players with little or no class, it was pretty bad when Todd Boehly's was the sporting director before sadly we couldn't see this earlier but now in as much as it pains me Chelsea is now like a mid tier team as time past by I'm still wondering when we will be back to becoming title Contenders.

On the other hand, Fulham is not strong team, they should have been defeated with fairly large score, it just that all opportunities were not utilized properly by Manchester United players in today match.

In term of the quality of the players, I think Ten Hag really needs to slowly improve the quality of his play and start using some tactics that can be quite strong on the front line.

Well many in the new Chelsea management thought maybe they would change their game a lot but they didn't change their game that much. Many were not ready to bet against Manchester City and they knew they would definitely lose if they bet on Chelsea. But if you were to bet Manchester City would definitely win, their style of play has improved and the carmaker continues to play a significant role. Of course manchester city have improved their game and they are trying hard enough to win the title again in premier league, but chelsea team played a very disappointing game, but i also think they need to improve their game or else they will lose the next matches.

Chelsea's main weakness is their management. The performance of Chelsea team is poor now because the management is not experienced enough. It is not possible for any coach to transform a team into a strong team very quickly. It is a long term and time consuming affair. But Chelsea management wants to improve very quickly. They are not interested in giving any coach more time. So if a coach doesn't perform as expected, they fire the coach and hire a new coach. If the new coach does not get the expected results, he is fired again. We have been seeing this for the last 3 years.

Well against Manchester City it is easy to say Chelsea will lose because it’s clear that they are still not up there yet and the fact that they changed manager just after last season proves that they will not be in shape yet. I have so much trust in Enzo Maresca and i don’t think Chelsea will be that poor to get relegated, they had a similar start last season and they were able to fight their way back. This is just the beginning of the season and we still have a long way to go so losing just this match doesn’t prove that they will be relegated. This is Manchester City we are talking about so I expected this result.

Although one thing I find surprising was that after seeing Nicolas Jackson performances last season, Chelsea first priority should have been a striker rather they pretend as if they were okay with Jackson. Casemiro looking very sharp, made good runs and interceptions and passes unlike Emile Smith Rowe, who had no real efferct on the game, Maybe due to the fact that he has not had many playing time yet.

Yes! But they'll need to do that with more pace amd consistency, picking the right pass to the right partner at all times, reasons why they need players like Scott MC Tominay gone in that midfied. Hope? Hoping us dangerous if I must say. Manchester United fans do not want to hope, all they want is to see performance and perfection.

I cannot say about him, but he has a great first touch and height, he could use that well for Manchester United. Highest goal scorer? Don't think so but, fingers crossed.

Another thing I feel is making the team underperform is because of how older players are being treated. Imagine demoting your first team players to train with the U21 because of what? Seriously Chelsea as a club under Todd need a reshaping to their thinking else it we'd keep seeing and hearing more sad things.

I appears like Chelsea isn't a good ground for players to strive ever since the exit of ibrimovich, the management down to the team has been more messy than they have ever been in the history of the team but hopefully they get better, Their performance was no where close to that of Manchester city in that game, Manchester city had a more defined pattern and a much better coordination than Chelsea did, I was expecting a better performance from Chelsea not with all the new signing and change of coach and all they could produce was nothing away from the much known regular.

That is how people said that yesterday match will going to be a tough match, between Chelsea vs Manchester city but the outcome of the match results was a surprised to some people, because it was not a surprise to me seen Manchester city to defeated Chelsea 0-2 to embraced victory.  Tottenham will use this match to wake their fans spirit up to defeat Leicester City 1-2 to achieve three points, because many people use this first match to determine what the team will do in the remaining matches, which Tottenham will deploy all the tactics to succeed in the home of the Leicester City today. Don you think it is too early to judge Chelsea's performance from the first game they played for the season, and we all know it was a game played against the strongest team in the premier league. If Chelsea had played their game with any random premier league and they failed to win  then we can quickly express the dissapointment. I know Chelsea have not been performing well for a longtime and fans was expecting to see something different in the first game. There is still enough time to see what Chelsea will be upto in their games this season,  I don't want to use this first game to make conclusions.

It is too early to say that Maresca failed, if we look at Chelsea's performance in the match it was not that bad, it's just that they were a little unlucky even though Chelsea had many dangerous opportunities.
This result is not so surprising because Man City deserved to win this match, they have a stronger strength than Chelsea even though City did not play at their top performance but they had no difficulty in winning this match.

And for Enzo Maresca, he still needs time for him to build Chelsea, the results from playing against the strongest PL team at the moment (Man City) I think are not appropriate to be used as a benchmark.

Holy Moly! After Chelsea spent lots of money in the summer window, and our performance is still crap. I hate to say this, but i want a refund for my time watching this. It's very obvious that if Maresca is the next potter. And we sacked Pochettino to completely destroy the club. Chelsea looked much much better under Poch and even when Poch did not had a full fit squad last season.

And the worst part is, when we see the fact that if Enzo can't even play in any positions. He can't play as number 10, 8 or 6. We wasted 90 million to get a horrible talent like him. Whenever Enzo F played for us, we lost.

Gallagher is 10 times better than Enzo F. I prefer to keep Gallagher, but we got scammed by buying Enzo for a silly price.

Chelsea was lacking the best number 10 against Manchester City, despite spending a lot of money on the transfer. No team has signed as many players as Chelsea and seen the result in their first game of the season. Look at the way Kovačić handled the ball and controlled the midfield for Manchester City. The last time Manchester City won an away game without Rodri was in 2022, and now they won without him against Chelsea. The midfield failed to provide passes to its attackers, even though they want to sell Gallagher, Enzo Maresca should have started the game with Palmer as the midfield.

However, I am not sure how poorly Sterling and Madueke performed in the pre-season games that Maresca chose not to bring them against Manchester City, but I feel that if they were in that match, Chelsea would attack more than they did yesterday because no position was good in Chelsea's performance.

Chelsea are the only team I think have over 40 players and they're still in a confused state with Enzo Maresca talking about much players and they need to discard some players, like why are they making things difficult for themselves? By the way all these happened as a result of Sterling not being listed in yesterday's game which I think wasn't proper, he wasn't on the bench and even on the first eleven of the squad it made him (Sterling) and his representative questioned the manager's decision, why he wasn't listed and Enzo Maresca is even defending his actions, like why would you drop someone like Sterling who gives everything when it comes to the club and that game he was suppose to be involved but he wasn't, which to me I think Chelsea want to sell this guy off the club since they started avoiding him to be included in a big game as yesterdays' and they shouldn't forget that Sterling is bigger than the likes of Mudryk, Madueke, Chukwuemeka and the rest who was not in that game, he should be given that respect.
Having so much players on the team and now the manager is confused on who to start or drop, even his decision making while making a sub is not even sharp to change the outcome of the game, well this is just the beginning of so much explanation, Enzo Maresca need to know his 1st eleven before the next 5 games.

Holy Moly! After Chelsea spent lots of money in the summer window, and our performance is still crap. I hate to say this, but i want a refund for my time watching this. It's very obvious that if Maresca is the next potter. And we sacked Pochettino to completely destroy the club. Chelsea looked much much better under Poch and even when Poch did not had a full fit squad last season.

And the worst part is, when we see the fact that if Enzo can't even play in any positions. He can't play as number 10, 8 or 6. We wasted 90 million to get a horrible talent like him. Whenever Enzo F played for us, we lost.

Gallagher is 10 times better than Enzo F. I prefer to keep Gallagher, but we got scammed by buying Enzo for a silly price.

Chelsea was lacking the best number 10 against Manchester City, despite spending a lot of money on the transfer. No team has signed as many players as Chelsea and seen the result in their first game of the season. Look at the way Kovačić handled the ball and controlled the midfield for Manchester City. The last time Manchester City won an away game without Rodri was in 2022, and now they won without him against Chelsea. The midfield failed to win of their matches in which they clashed.

I don't know why people especially Chelsea fans think that they can win City or draw the match like last season when it is not the same coach of last season or have they forgotten about that. Pocchetino was able to understand Pep's football pattern and thay was the advantage that he had which made it difficult for City to win Chelsea.

This is a different coach entirely with some new players making it difficult for the players to understand themselves easily and also adopting the new pattern of Maresca. In my wild dream, I will not see Chelsea winning City in yesterday's match.
