A small difference in the score, closeness in statistics, etc. is not something you can rely on when assessing the strength of the teams in reality. The nuance is that a stronger team, if the development of the game (score) does not suit it, can start playing more strongly and put additional pressure on the opponent. A weaker team can't do that. In this game everything was in City's favor so it's hard to say if they can improve if needed, and with Chelsea it's hard to say how weak they are since they played the (presumably) strongest team in the league. We need to watch other games and then it will become clearer.

New coach, new season and lots of new players in the Chelsea team. So I still think that we are too early to judge this team's performance from the first match in the Premier League against Man City. And yeah, we have to wait for this team to at least play against a team that is not as strong as Man City. At least next week Chelsea will face Wolves and I think this match is more suitable to see how far Chelsea has progressed. But still, a more accurate assessment will be visible after we watch several matches. For some teams in the first match, there are definitely still some who haven't found the true form of game they want to use throughout the season. But Chelsea are actually starting to look good. although it can't match Man City yet. But I'm sure that if we faced a team from the bottom of last season, Chelsea would win. And Wolves are perfect for that. namely to test Chelsea's strength.

But before that Chelsea has a scheduled match in the European Conference League against Servette. And I think it will also be a match that can test Chelsea's strength.

I don't think is to early because Chelsea is not like clubs that you can predict their movement, but Chelsea stated this way shows that this season they will still be understandable, base on the few changes that have been happening currently in Chelsea, everyone will know that Chelsea is in form and they tried. And they were actually playing against a very strong team like Manchester City, and their fans are already getting tired because the club is making changes and nothing is changing so their fans to just accept their fate, because it is taking longer for Chelsea to accept their fate for more than a season now Chelsea is having problems, it is now as if Chelsea are out of clue of how to solve their problems and by now their fans should have gotten use to it, die hard fans will not leave the club, so their is enough time to start decide the fate because Chelsea can actually improve so let's watch them and see what they will play.

I don't think it is too early to judge a team like Chelsea after the first game of the season, even though the season just started, we always see the same result, so I wouldn't be surprised if Maresca ended up as Pochettino. Manchester City is the best team in the Premier League, but after Chelsea's 2:4 loss to them in the preseason game, many people thought that Chelsea would perform better in the league. However, based on their performance against Manchester City, the management was only busy signing midfielders rather than top strikers, so their spending money and player deals are meaningless if they fail to get good results in their games.

I doubt Chelsea will perform well against an average team because they don't have a striker and Jackson is just good at offside and wasted scoring opportunities. Wolves will host their next game against Chelsea, both teams lost their first game of the season, so let's see how Chelsea does against an average team, since Manchester City is strong opponent.

Sometimes Leicester can surprise Spurs about the fact that they have played in the Premier League and have won in the past but for now of course we still don't know how the performance is clear, we see Spurs will be more to score more goals.
Spurs odds are still quite OK, I have to bet on this team, not sure it will lose but who knows right?

Another team that I think will perform well this season, and we shouldn’t underestimate them is Liverpool. From my observation, Liverpool's performance might end up surprising most people.

The performance of Manchester City was much better than Arsenal's and they won the title of Premier League while Arsenal didn't do that.
But regardless of that, Manchester City is doing good business in this league and selling players to the other teams to earn more money like they are extracting money from these players. Back in 2022-2023, Manchester City earned money by selling four players to Southampton, it was about 41 million euros.
During this season they sold Taylor Harwood-Bellis, Liam Delap, and Tommy Doyle, that's how they earned 17.3 17.85 and 5 million euros.

So there was nothing surprising about Chelsea's defeat. because they do have quite a clear difference in strength with Man City. Maybe if Pochettino had not been fired and had continued at Chelsea until now, a different story could have happened. But still, losing to Man City cannot be avoided, maybe the difference will only be in the score. Pochettino's departure only means Chelsea have to repeat last season all over again. Well, the performance that Pochettino has managed to build will be difficult to continue with a new coach. And Enzo is currently trying to continue it in his own way.

Leicester City is not a strong team. A relatively weak team is Leicester City. Leicester City managed to occupy the top spot in the EFL Championship table last season. However, Leicester City needed to strengthen their squad if they wanted to do well in the Premier League. To strengthen the squad, Leicester City have added Fatawu, Okoli and Buonanotte to their squad this season. However, Leicester's squad is weaker than Tottenham's.

Tottenham's team is strong. Despite not winning the friendly match against Bayern Munich, Tottenham's players managed to perform very well. Betting Tottenham to win against Leicester City seems like a save to me. Hopefully the Tottenham players will not let me down.

In fact, in pre-season matches Chelsea also did not have good results, usually the results in pre-season matches cannot be used as a benchmark at all. But about Chelsea, the results obtained in pre-season and in this new Premier League season, it doesn't seem much different either. Because after all, even though Chelsea played at home but Chelsea was also completely unable to score a goal because Chelsea lost 0-2 against Manchester City.

Also, Chelsea still have a busy schedule because Chelsea still have to play in the Conference League play off round and thus, Chelsea need to rotate players which will likely have an impact on their results as well in the next Premier League match against Wolves later and Chelsea will also play away, and this factor maybe will make it difficult for Chelsea to win.

I believe you also noticed how couch chose to play Enzo behind a striker and not any good striker but Jackson who can not decide what to do with the ball in front of opponents post. The game was not too bad and in fact, it was better than I personally expected but it was very shameful how they could not utilize their chances and how poor their couch was with substitutions. If we continue saying it is too early to judge them, things will become worse. It's better to criticize now so they ammend their ways. You can not spend that whole amount on players and expect the community to watch you play nonsense games.

I was surprised that the dominance was equal in the match. With what Chelsea played yesterday against Manchester City, I still have hope in them. I believe something good can still come out of them, but it’s just going to take some time. I will say Chelsea lacks strikers, which is one of the things affecting them. Chelsea had chances yesterday but no good finisher to finish it for them. Enzo Maresca should have just started sterling in the match, and I don’t really like the idea of Enzo making unnecessary substitutions in the second half of the match.

Although Chelsea lost, at least the dominance in terms of ball possession was quite thin. Chelsea only weakness is in the front line which is not sharp while the rest is quite good, because Manchester City is considered more prepared on the field. Enzo Maresca must continue to try his best in his first season. Considering the fate of previous Chelsea coaches, they were always easily fired if they failed to satisfy Chelsea top brass. Because this is still early in the season, let's give him time to improve and choose the right players. I  would only rate Chelsea in their next five matches, however it's too early to start underate the team based on yesterday game, it obvious their final third was poor in their match against Man City which means the team needed a quality striker No.9 though their possession was almost equal and I think Enzo Murresca needed to restrategize and change the team formation to include a clinical finisher else the team would continue to struggle in scoring goals, Nicolas Jackson can only play well from the flank and I don't rate him as a good striker while Nkunku is neither a top striker if the manager can get his tactics well with a good striker they would be very formidable squad.

What is discovered in my observations of what happened in that last weekend game for Chelsea is that, the club need more motivation, because from the beginning to the end of the game, Chelsea ball possession was very weak, and that is why, their could not mentain or control all the attempts that they got in the game, and for some reason may be Chelsea was intimidated by the character and person of Manchester City who's tack record of success have ignite the fear in them, to the point of losing our in the match.
For sure I wasn't expecting them to win or even draw the match since for a fact there is no way possible for that to happen, but to their best they have done what they could and losing the very early match to a big club is somehow not too painful for Chelsea.

I wonder why people are so quick to conclude Chelsea's performance just because they lost in the first match, especially Chelsea facing Man City as a club that has won in a row, is consistent and has an ideal squad. So it is very natural that Man City won big, while Chelsea as we all know now is a club that is inconsistent, has bad management and is reckless in buying players in the transfer market plus a new coach. So this defeat is natural but it does not mean that everything is over. Chelsea has only played 1 match and we should not judge this season as a whole. Losing in the first match is a common thing and I think many clubs in Europe have not fully maximized their game in the first match. For example Real Madrid, which is considered a luxurious club full of stars, started its first season with a disappointing result being held to a draw by Mallorca.

The attacking force of Chelsea is really a big problem that need urgent attention. This was why I felt that Chelsea signing Vitcor Osimhen from Napoli would have been a major priority for them but from the look of things, the deal is not likely going to happen as none of Chelsea, Arsenal or PSG is willing to meet the conditions set by Napoli. If I were the management of Chelsea, I would have accepted the conditions and sign him because they desperately need a striker of that quality. Without making som adjustments in the attacking line, I don't see Chelsea dong better than last season.

My bet is almost similar to yours, but I'm not underestimating Chelsea in their first week. I take double chance as a safe bet. It's probably that Chelsea learned from their loss to City in the pre-season game.

But, why don't you take Arsenal against wolves? It's also one of ez match to bet beside Liverpool and Newcastle.

If am the one placing this bet then Chelsea will take a long time before ever I have the confidence to even add them to my betslip because that team despite the fact that they have signed a whole lot of players they would still find it difficult to get that consistency of winning and playing performance most especially this first week of play I would definitely not add them to my ticket. That team Chelsea did me a whole lot of things that almost certainly gave me nightmares last season and am not prepared to start with them this season.

That's why I took a double chance on my bet for Chelsea vs Man City. And this is to anticipate if Chelsea would perform as well as last season. But, it seems they're degrading now. I mean, Chelsea's current form is not that good compared to when Poch was there. And City was able to take two points from them. Unlike last season, when City always got draws in home and away games against Chelsea.

And lucky me, I have all of my bets on my parlay that worked well.

An important point is that Tottenham lost the last match against Leicester by a huge margin of 4-1. The match was Leicester's home match. However, before this, Tottenham won the last four matches between these two teams.

Although it is Leicester's home match, nobody is considering the Leicester team as favorites in this match. Because Leicester's squad is not that strong. On the other hand, there is no doubt that Tottenham's squad is stable enough. I will just say that Tottenham will win very easily if Min son performs well. But I am interested to see Dominic Solanke's performance. Last season he scored 19 goals and 3 assists. He is with a more stable squad this season. Hopefully we will see better performances from Dominic Solanke this season.

Leicester City sign Oliver Skipp from Tottenham Spurs

Leicester City have announced the signing of midfielder Oliver Skipp from Tottenham for an undisclosed fee.

The 23-year-old has signed a five-year deal at the King Power Stadium that runs through until 2029.

The deal is understood to be worth £20m plus a further £5m in add-ons.

Speaking to LCFC.com, Skipp said: "I'm really excited to sign. I've got the feeling that it's a good group of people and a good group of players. I'm sure that we've got a squad capable of challenging in every game. You look around the squad and there are lots of exciting players who have played in the Premier League and I'm really excited to see what this group can achieve.
