That's why I took a double chance on my bet for Chelsea vs Man City. And this is to anticipate if Chelsea would perform as well as last season. But, it seems they're degrading now. I mean, Chelsea's current form is not that good compared to when Poch was there. And City was able to take two points from them. Unlike last season, when City always got draws in home and away games against Chelsea.

And lucky me, I have all of my bets on my parlay that worked well.

Like I did emphasized on some comments I posted on this thread in the past days as regards to the current premier league season, it is wrong to expect that every club, specially the ones that performed poorly in the last season, will come back now to automatically start performing well, you and I know that Manchester city is way ahead of Chelsea, they've won the premiere league title three times now consecutively, there was no way Chelsea was just gonna come around now and beat them, that happening would have caused a great upset in the world of sports betting.

Even last season, Chelsea started off poorly and it took them some time before they started showing some great performances against strong clubs like Manchester city, Arsenal and the rest.
So, for me personally, and again, I believe it's still too early to begin to judge whose doing well and whose not, allow Chelsea four to five games and let's see how they are performing after that.

With the new Chelsea board and management, I feel like I can not bet on Chelsea to win and lose at the same time. Chelsea is likely to struggle in many games this season, and I can’t afford to bet on them losing. Every team seems to be chasing a better version of Guardiola, but Chelsea doesn’t measure up mentally or tactically. I didn’t see any new patterns of play today in fact, the style they played today was disappointing and made little sense.

Chelsea still have a lot to improve this season if they want to compete better in the Premier League, because if they don't improve their way of playing in every game, it will be very worrying that they will have to fight not to be relegated this season. Because all other teams in the Premier League at this time (excluding the promoted teams) have made more significant improvements so that they can compete in every game even if they have to lose, but not ridiculously.

Don you think it is too early to judge Chelsea's performance from the first game they played for the season, and we all know it was a game played against the strongest team in the premier league. If Chelsea had played their game with any random premier league and they failed to win  then we can quickly express the dissapointment. I know Chelsea have not been performing well for a longtime and fans was expecting to see something different in the first game. There is still enough time to see what Chelsea will be upto in their games this season,  I don't want to use this first game to make conclusions.  

One game against Manchester City, an elite team. Come on, folks! City is the Premier League gold standard; it is not any team. Pep's got them performing like monster; even the top teams struggle to stay up. So, Chelsea lost. Big deal. Enzo is a wise man who will sort everything out. Maybe they need to tighten up the defense, maybe they need to be more aggressive on offense. But its one game, folks.

Every team in the long Premier League season experiences ups and downs. Recall that early on especially, even the best teams have down days. Thus, lets allow Chelsea have time to settle in. I know they will return stronger and I have faith in them.

Although Chelsea lost, at least the dominance in terms of ball possession was quite thin. Chelsea only weakness is in the front line which is not sharp while the rest is quite good, because Manchester City is considered more prepared on the field. Enzo Maresca must continue to try his best in his first season. Considering the fate of previous Chelsea coaches, they were always easily fired if they failed to satisfy Chelsea top brass. Because this is still early in the season, let's give him time to improve and choose the right players. It will take time and patience for Chelsea to return to their best, so I wouldn't be surprised if they find it equally difficult to break into the top four this season.

Today Leicester City and Tottenham will be the last teams to open the league. Tottenham start the league well every year but can't make it back. I think they will start with a win today as well. It's a tough away game, but Tottenham will get 3 points with their quality squad. Last year Leicester City won the game here 4-1, Tottenham will want revenge. The matches between these two teams are usually high scoring, so a bet of over 2.5 goals or more is a good bet.

The last match of this week will be played in less than 3 hours but in my opinion the match is very worth watching apart from the fact that there are no other English league matches today of course I want to see how Leicester play after returning to the Premier League this season , Tottenham will definitely try to play maximum in their first match considering that the win was a good start for them in this season after last season they failed to penetrate the Champions League, while Leicester City, who lost their coach this season, will of course try to show their best performance again to repeat the success of the past.

If we looking from Head to head between tottenham and leicester so far , it is clear that Tottenham are far ahead of Leicester City so far, but in my opinion for that the match, of course head to head cannot be used as a reference to underestimate Leicester City, so in my opinion a goal bet of more than 2.5 seems quite good if you look from the defense of both teams which conceded a lot of goals although both teams played at different levels last season, just like you, I'm also quite sure there will be a lot of goals scored in that match, but to choosing who will win later is of course difficult in my opinion because So far we don't know the strength from of the two teams in the first match.

Win is a win, but I wouldn't be praising Liverpool for good form just yet. They had potentially the easiest opponents out there, as Ipswich only got promoted to the Premier League this season, and newly promoted teams don't tend to be doing very well. They will most likely end up at the bottom of the table.
Liverpool has scored 2 goals, but it took them a while. They didn't pose much of a threat in the first half, with only one somewhat good chance.

The real test will come in two weeks when they'll face Man United in Manchester, who played a good game against Man City in the FA Community Shield and won against Fulham this weekend.

A satisfying performance from the big clubs that I chose in my bet and all of them got 3 points at the beginning of this season.
It's a shame that Chelsea had to fail to lose points when playing against Man City and actually Chelsea had performed quite well, it's just that the strength of Man City's attack line was very difficult to stop and Chelsea's defense had to concede.
That's very natural because the quality of Man City's players is better than Chelsea's at the moment.

I didn't really think that Chelsea could hold Man City to a draw they are in the hands of a new manager it will be a bit difficult unless Poch is still in charge then it might be a bit different, then I had faith Man City would win easily and this time it was right.

I may be a bit harsh, but this is a useless signing. I don't understand the purpose of this signing. We have many players in similar positions, like Felix. And a 6-year contract is so damn long. With this signing, Clearlake has speedrun the club into the ground. It's a disaster.

Nobody wanted Felix, but we're re-signing a player that did nothing for us. And the funny thing is that Atletico got a player they really wanted, and they got rid of one nobody wanted for free. We look like a clown with this signing.

It would be a good deal, at least better than what they have done before with a player of Joao Felix age but with little experience and no contribution to the team. We might call Leicester City a newly promoted side in the English Premier League, but on the real sense they are not new to English Premier League. I mean they are used to the football and they know how tough it used to be. It was just last season that they slipped off the English Premier League to the championship and it did not take them long to return to the prestigious English Premier League. So, this means that we are to see a battle between the champions of the championship and Tottenham of the English Premier League. I am confident that this might not be a good game for Tottenham as they might see a surprise this night. It is interesting and I advise brookies to go for btts or HTx. This will be a good prediction.

How well Tottenham can perform as a visiting team at home will depend on their performance. But I look at the betting odds and I think Tottenham has a chance to win because the betting rating in their favor has been reduced a lot. Im giving Chelsea a break because they are still finding their way with the new manager. I agree with you that it is not always possible to select a favorite team based on the results of the previous match or the last match. But I don't think Tottenham will lose points against Leicester. I think the chances of the match being a draw are low.

Tottenham team is not weak this season. I have seen their overall gameplay in friendly matches. Even if we know that Chelsea performance sometimes is not encouraging but this there match against Manchester City I don't think is right for us to judge them because we had already know that Manchester City performance is more higher than Chelsea and besides even if Manchester City win the match but we annot also forget that Chelsea tried there best, so I think the only time we should judge or have a doubt about Chelsea performance is only when they are not able to win there next match against wolves that's when we can say that they have a weak team because already wolves is not that good on this season so they shouldn't be a too much problem for Chelsea.

We really shouldn't draw conclusions too quickly just based on the initial match. We have to be patient and wait for more matches to be played by them. And we must also remember that their new coach must adapt first. Because the season has just started and losing to Man City is quite natural. Maybe you are right, we might have to first see the results of the next match, namely next week when Chelsea face Wolves. Chelsea have indeed tried as best as they can and well we shouldn't have too high hopes for this squad which is full of young players. because young players sometimes need to adapt longer than experienced players.

Concluding based on the first match performance is never the right to do and like I said I will not blame Chelsea for losing the match because there new coach has not really identify the best way for them so perhaps after losing that match he would be able to understand the things that should be done in other to be getting the wining they deserve, however if i may ask what do you think about the Manchester City team this season, do you believe that they would be as good as they are last season?, because watching there match against Chelsea nothing has really change about them and instead they have even improve a lot and I believe they would be very consistent on this season because they would also like to retain the trophy again.

Tottenham Hotspur clearly has the better chance in this match and I think they can only get better this season. They should not find this match very hard to win but they need to be very serious about it and put all they got in order to have a good starts in the season. Leicester City is a club that just came back from the league relegation and will want to start the season on a good note also. Starting off the season with a defeat may not mean well for their future prospects in the league this season, so they’ll show all their best in this match and try and come out victorious, reason why Tottenham should not take this match slightly and be more serious with winning the match also.
