I have registered for a Bitcointalk account for a long time, but because I don't understand it, I leave.

However, I still invest in Bitcoin. But it often fails. This is what made me return to my Bitcointalk account.

Someone said that this account could make money by promoting a project bounty. But the minimum rank is a member.

To increase rank, there must be Merit. What is Merit? I continue to find out about Merit.

You have long way ahead of you.
First try to improve your english skills, because this forum is about communication between users and its hard to understand, needs a lot of guessing.
Second thing, change of attitude. If you only register here to "earn" money, you will fail hard. First of all promoting needs from you quality posts, big rank and a lot of activity/merit.  It will be hard to endure all that with only money in mind. You must enjoy beign here and helping people.

Welcome back to this bitcointalk forum again. So you are coming here to stay with bitcointalk so that you can earn some money? Ok great then.
My first advice will be to learn first before earn. If you can not learn about cryptocurrency and about his forum, you can not earn+you not rank up. Again if you want to earn without learning go to bounty thread maybe many projects are accepting newbies. So no need to learn ,no need to rank up in this case.

Do you only want to make money for now, like you said, you use Bitcoin, don't you have questions why your trading is not profitable, btw, there's been a pandemic this year, traditional currencies looks headed for inflation, don't you want want to discuss how you can hedge your assets using the Bitcoin to avoid inflation. Bitcoin is an asset that raises incessant questions and curiosity in it's users, would you not want to discuss that with other forum users when these topics come up (about wallets, security, privacy, etc). Mind you, I only 'showed you around the forum a little', there is still so much more for you to enjoy, and by doing that you start to earn money later on, but with knowledge and skills that can give you more money even outside of the forum. Think about it, and welcome back btw.

No. Its not right. You can participate in a bounty campaign as a "Newbie" except a few.

Merit is the recognition of your quality work in this forum. When you post very good quality post, help someone in the forum, the senior members of the forum will give you merit in recognition of your great work.

I don't who have suggested you to use bitcointalk for the purpose of earning only but there is lot more things which you can get from here. You are a newbie and you have limited knowledge about this forum. I will suggest you to learn this forum's rules before running after bounty campaigns. You have mentioned on your post that you made investment on bitcoin but most of the time failed to make profits. If you spend your time on bitcointalk by reading different posts to gather knowledge about bitcoin and its different field of investment then i think you will be able to make profits from your next investment.

So, what do you think ?

Isn't it better to learn before staring to earn.

Here is my advice.
Always plan for the future. Don't look at the short game. Ask yourself, what happens when bounties stop being valuable or stop giving you enough decent money?

Knowledge is power, when you have knowledge, you can always continue earning even long way after the bounties have stopped being a source of incoming. You said you have often failed whenever you invested in BTC, I believe what you are trying to say is you have always failed at trading. Use those mistakes you made as a lesson and strive to learn and practice more trading. With time, you will be good at it and it will help you make some decent money in the long ran unlike bounties.

Going here in the forum for the purpose of earning money shouldn't be your focus. And besides, how can you earn if you don't have any knowledge where to start with.

Be at yourself, enjoy discussing with the community, and do your usual conversation. You can start at your local section if available (you can found it at the index page) to make you feel comfortable speaking with your own language.

While lurking here and as you progress, you will now understand what are those things you need to do why are you here.

Just like the first comment from the user @Velkro rightly said, you've got a long way to go. Most persons with the notion of earning out of bounties often end up badly here.
May I refer you to pinned posts (that is, the first 2-3 posts on almost every board with a pin attached to it). Posts like that would surely help you to know how to stick around here without any problem.
We all understand that Bitcoin is a growing field but then, it comes with its own technicalities that takes only the experienced to benefit most especially from all that it offers. First in this series is an education of the system.
That's what you basically get here and it's made interactive, you share your ideas and opinions on matters arising in the forum as you see them and know them to be. Verify all that needs verifying and don't forget to play safe.

You'll get more merit if you are active in the forum and at the same time you contribute to the community as well.
Merit is a new system created by Theymos to prevent farming of account, and it was a successful experiment as it made the forum better with less spam.

Don't worry, just give time to learn first then contribute, it will take time for sure but once you learn, you'll be able to find all the opportunity from this forum directly or indirectly. Good luck and advance happy bounty hunting ahead.

what do you mean "it often fails"?

the only way you fail is if you didn't "invest" in bitcoin and were trading instead and were losing money on trying to predict a market that you didn't have any experience in. or you were then investing bitcoin in an altcoin and since they always tank you lost money.
otherwise if you really "invested" in bitcoin (which means buying something and not touching it for a long time) there is no way you could have failed so far.

Bounties are gamble. You bet to promote them and wait for luck to get money. You also have to give up your privacy to meet their requirements (with social media account info or KYC). Most of bounties don't give you much money from your zero value works.
