What are you wanting it to do?

Add something that updates your own wallet or do you want it to return your balance etc? What should it have stored too, most wallets need some sort of chainstate - if you can export the public keys from bitcoin core and import them into an sov wallet like electrum would that be sufficient or does it need to be compatible with core?

What exactly do you mean by "rescan wallet"? Huh

Based on this, it seems like you're trying to convert the wallet.dat to some other wallet format? Huh If so, there is nothing that I am currently aware of that will do that.

At best, as jackg, suggested, you could export your private keys from the old wallet.dat and then import those to a new wallet. Bitcoin Core will allow you to export keys (even without the blockchain synced)... alternatively there are utilities like PyWallet that will enable you to dump the keys from the wallet.dat file.

I remember that he had asked the same question before.

Seems like the "-rescan" suggestions from other threads is stuck in his head as a solution somehow.
But looking at his post history, this is most likely a desperate attempt to get the contents of his bought wallet.dat(s) from a Russian thread.

Use this tool from GitHub to scan your wallet, it will export private keys and then you can check them on blockchain

Good luck!

What are you wanting it to do?

My guess is the OP wants a script that will take the path to an existing wallet.dat file, and a path to a new wallet.dat file that will be created as inputs, and will copy the wallet.dat file.

He previously posted about forgetting his password to his wallet file, and my guess is he is trying to get around having to input the passphrase. Unfortunately this is not how encryption works.

You can pretty much ignore the post from keychainX here.

As mentioned in your other thread, if you don't know anything about your password, your chances are pretty much zero.
Rescanning is something completely different.

I am assuming you bought that wallet file. Everyone (absolutely everyone) selling wallet files is a scammer.

Base on my understanding that OP wanted to get the important details of that wallet.dat file. As I made a quick search on how is possible then one will surely can access it a certain password. The wallet.dat file is like having a padlock to which it could only be open by encrypting the password and there is no other way to open the wallet.dat file except,

to hire someone to brute force the wallet.dat file that if think your sure that the wallet.dat file has bitcoin with balance. However, you must pay someone to do it. check the link below.
