I've been having a heck of a time accessing bitcointalk for the last day or so. It seems real bad right now.

The Bitcoin network protocol was designed to be extremely flexible. It can be used to create timed transactions, escrow transactions, multi-signature transactions, etc. The current features of the client only hint at what will be possible in the future.

Every so often I cannot access it. However, there must be about a quarter of a million accounts and if they all try to access it at he same time it must be like a DDOS.

Newbies, yes the site gets ddos'd all the time.

If you had been around for more than just a few weeks, you might know that.
