Ledger has a new promotion that includes a 20% discount on Ledger Nano X or Ledger Nano S hardware wallets. It is a back to school special valid from 7-21 September.

No, I think they are just finding reasons to give discounts to get more sales. September being the month when the new school year starts was just a good opportunity as any other. They are maybe hoping to get rid of their Nano S stock and trying to save face following their recent behavior.

This is just an official discount, but I see some special discounts shared by some users on Ledger Reddit - so it’s possible to buy HW at a discount almost all year round. However, the biggest discounts can be expected in the period of Black Friday and before the New Year holidays.

I bought my Nano X last year with a 35% discount, and if my memory serves me well, at one point the Nano S was even available with a 50% discount. However, considering what has been happening with Ledger lately, I'm really interested in whether their sales will fall or people will, as usual, quickly forget everything.

As far as I know, the Nano S is still being produced and supported, there is no announcement that the warehouses are being cleaned - it is still a more affordable model that probably sells more than twice as expensive Nano X.

I never think about the covid-19 and I think you were right, there might a delay on the shipping but that's okay at least my purchase is safe and I know I'm the right reseller. I heard this before when you are buying a hardware wallet be careful with the possible tampered wallet. Although I read this, Check if device is genuine. I still have doubt upon purchasing.

I visited that site and did not find any Ledger products, and also on the official Ledger site there are no official resellers for the Philippines. The safest option is to buy directly from Ledger (France). As for the delay of the shipment, if it goes via DHL then it will arrive within the specified period - and such a shipment is always with a tracking number and it is quite certain that it will not get lost so easily.

Shipments coming from China have a problem with delays and losses, but that's something else entirely - because they first collect a certain amount of shipments and then just send them to their destination - and that takes at least 30+ days.
