Croatian Post Crypto stamp on the Ethereum blockchain

We are proud to announce that the Croatian Post has released our first crypto stamp on the Ethereum blockchain.
On the occasion of the Stamp Day, the Croatian Post, on the 180th anniversary of the issue of the first postage stamp "Penny Black", is issuing the first Croatian Crypto Stamp. With each Crypto Stamp you can pay postage costs and a digital token with the appropriate name Postereum is issued.
Postereum can live forever on blockchain and has a collecting value, thus achieving a faithful translation of philately into the digital world.

From today, you can buy your Crypto Stamp package at all major post offices in Croatia, on the website of Croatian Post’s Philately epostshop.hr and first in series 500 exclusive Crypto Stamps are available for purchase in the interactive web shop kripto.posta.hr/marka. After picking a shaded out square of your liking in the interactive web shop, and filling out the neccessary delivery and contact information required for the delivery of your physical Crypto Stamp package, you can buy your Postereum token (digital Crypto Stamp) via Metamask or you can pay with BTC/ETH/XRP/XLM/EOS via payment provider paycek.io and input your wallet address to receive your Postereum token (digital Crypto Stamp).

 

If 500 hundred stamps from the interactive web shop kripto.posta.hr/marka/shop are sold out you can buy the physical Crypto Stamp package from epostshop.hr and recive the package to a physical address of your liking, that will include a physical stamp, private key, and a pre-generated Ethereum wallet with the option to activate your digital Crypto Stamp whenever you like!

Your crypto stamp package contains a card with:
- A detachable physical stamp with a QR code containing the serial number of your digital Crypto Stamp.
- A pre-generated Ethereum address of the virtual wallet with the associated QR code, which stores the identity of the digital Crypto Stamp that is always ready for activation!
- A private key, i.e. a 12-word seed that represents the password for the digital wallet, which is required for activating and/or transferring the digital Crypto Stamp to a different Ethereum address.
The package also contains a jacket with the description of steps for accessing your digital Crypto Stamp.

Buying from the epostshop you get a package delivered to your physical adress which contains the physical stamp (you can choose cancelled stamp also) and inside the package you will find a private key and a pre-generated Ethereum wallet with the option to activate your digital Crypto Stamp whenever you like!

Just a few questions-
- are the physical stamps associated with these first 500 being sent out immediately or is there a waiting time ?
 - Will all 100,000 stamps have an NFT ?

-They are sent out next business day.
International delivery time limits:
 • Europe: within 5 business days
 • Other countries: within 12 business days

-Yes, physical packages also come with NFT tokens on a pre-generated wallet and you have the option to activate and mint the token if you wish, and then transfer it to any other ERC-721 compatible wallet.

Yes it a collectors project, but since such tokens are located on the Ethereum platform, they have the potential to live forever, which adds another dimension to philately – protection from deterioration caused by passage of time.
And you also get a physical stamp to your physical address  
It is early to say.
We just launched the first edition of Croatian Crypto Stams, and while we are very happy and proud that the first 500 stamps in the edition were sold out, Crypto Stamps are still available for purchase at  https://www.epostshop.hr/en/stamp-day-croatian-post-crypto/pid/3198. But we are also hoping for a future edition, however it is still too early to confirm such information. We will be sure to post necessary information when it will be provided!

Philately is going digital! Nice! I wonder how valuable these stamps will be in the future. It is like collecting some bitcoin memorabilia and who knows, when the time comes, it will be a valuable crypto asset in the future.

Have you posted this project in several philatelic websites like maybe stamps.org? Maybe you can sell those stamps faster than you imagine.

It would be great if you can provide later more metadata to Opensea. On Opensea the items can have "properties" like in your case e.g. "tier" and "sale source" (crypto / physical). If there are thousands of Postereum items on Opensea it would be much easier to filter them later by the properties.

The crypto stamp project is extremely important for the development of this relatively new industry in Croatia and also for putting Croatia on the blockchain world map, as well as on the world philately map, since the crypto stamp also marks an anniversary

Wow just imagine that already 180 years since the world’s first postage stamp “Penny Black” was issued. We can see that the passion that people have for collecting rare items did not disappear with the emergence of digital technologies and it is very good to know
