laicm s:Meet Dontoshi - The Crypto Dev that's been trying to make it since early 2017
And he's just back in spotlight with his fourth crypto project Toshify Finance
Read on for the amusing history of the "Dontoshi" name and how he simply refuses to give up!

Dontoshi's crypto struggles began in October of the year 2017, just 2 months before bitcoin's massive run to $20,000.  Dontoshi began his journey on bitcointalk forum on October 8, 2017 [1]
His First Project: iBTC [2]On October 09, 2017, Dontoshi launched iBTC which was supposed to be a tokenized version of bitcoin on top of ethereum with lending markets. Back in 2017, Dontoshi was very early for his time and lacked sufficient resources to make it a success. As per his own words, "iBTC Token Bitcoin + Ethereum x Lend = iBTC. iBTC is a tokenized version of Bitcoin on the Ethereum blockchain. The average block time is now 24 seconds, no more 8 minutes. There are 21 million iBTC and no additional tokens will ever be produced. This investment option allows you to profit from iBTC experts trading moves in volatility Crypto Market. Lend your coins for daily reward."

His Second Project: LendBTC (LBTC) [3]Dontoshi's second project appeared on Dec 18, 2018. It appears that the first idea evolved into hybrid lending. It was a combination of centralized and decentralized lending, a concept he called Hybrid Lending.
According to his own words, "LendBTC is the future of decentralized lending to allow investors to use their crypto currencies as collateral to get cash instead of selling it and lose their positions as their dream crypto currencies rise in value. LBTC platform will allow crypto investors to deposit and lend cash, BTC and LBTC. LBTC, IBTC and BTC will be used as collateral to borrow cash and crypto currencies that is approved on our platform."

His Third Project: [4]
Apparently Dontoshi is a guy that doesn't like to give up. In 2019, he was planning to launch Dontoshi Exchange that would let crypto traders trade "gems". According to his own words, "Dontoshi Exchange will be Relaunched this 30th of April for easy and secured crypto trading for Gem finders. Dontoshi token will be used for future development and marketing of the exchange. Our target is to build advance exchange that can handle 1 millions transactions in seconds to enable Gem finders to be able to find interesting projects and gems (Erc20 tokens) before it goes mainstream. Dontoshi token will be use to trade other tokens/coins in the exchange with less commission and other benefit than when you trade with bitcoin etc There will be more adoption for the DTD token when we launch our IEO platform and other project by 4Q of the year. We are airdropping 1 million DTD Token for 10,000 people"
As per a conversation on TG recently, Dontoshi exchange failed to take off due to expenses associated with security. It was shut down.

Fast forward to August, 2020
As you can see, he's been burned and let down by the markets. His projects have failed to take off. Ever since early 2017
But it's DONTOSHI. He uses the same name and continues to try to build! Maybe he really lacked resources all the while. Maybe he wasn't experienced enough or was screwed by his own beloved friends and partners, but he continues to try and make it. Impressed by your spirit Don!
In August 2020, Dontoshi is still trying to relaunch his own ecosystem with Defi. This is the first time he talks about "YFT", a defi token that will be farmed using tokens from his old projects iBtc, DTD & LBTC. He reveals that YFT total supply will be below 50,000.
As per his own words, "Am working on a proposal that will onboard YFII and YFI community into our ecosystem so that they yield farm DTD with YFI and YFII token."

Now let's come close to the present: September 8, 2020 [5]
As per his own words, "YFT will be added on uniswap today. 10000 YFT at rate of $0.15 per 1 YFT out of 50000 total supply. Stay tuned more updates."
So, Dontoshi is back with his new yield farming project called Toshify Finance which will let people farm YFT. He revealed that this project will be different from other yield farming projects where the crop itself has no utility. The crops (YFT) from Toshify Finance will be used for Dontoshi's Defi ecosystem!
We don't know whether or not this project will succeed but let's wish Dontoshi the best! This is the guy that is launching his fourth project under the same name as early 2017. Let's be a little honest here - this is crypto and he could have made a fresh start from scratch, but no, Don does what he does. It is what it is. Props for that!
