2. The future value of the UNO you mine will be significantly worth more in the future.
This argument worries me. I don't think its valid.

This argument worries me. I don't think its valid. I totally feel ya on this. It is speculation. We all "know" Uno is going to do alright. Maybe the world turns to crap though and everyone nukes everyone. It is hard to say if that would be a +/- for Uno. That argument doesn't fly when trying to convince others of the reasons why they might wanna mine Uno.

Has anyone attempted to contact Mazacoin about merge mining? That coin is supposed to be a sovereign currency for a North American Indian Tribe. A coin with actual transactional use could be a boon to work with.
I'm not an UNO holder but am following Mazacoin closely. Not sure if anyone has paid attention to it lately but its beginning to look more and more like the tribe may actually be close to finally approving it legally. Yeah there was alot of FUD and drama last year, but the tribal president who denied he knew anything about Maza was booted out this fall accused of corruption and the new President is supposedly more favorable to new ideas, and his son is friends with Payu Harris on Facebook. Payu has been out on the reservation last few weeks meeting with the economic board and they even installed some antminers in the offices, personally i'm going to laugh at everyone who doubted it when Payu is on camera with the President of the Lakota demonstrating Maza. Anyway sorry not to hijack the UNO thread but I thought it might incentivize to reach out to them for MM if people felt it had good things coming in the near future too that would benefit UNO also.

It's just another arrow in a quiver of many arrows such as: -Mature, thoughtful and civil community as an asset -Vibrant discussions -Devs still around -UNO-EX -Crypto mall world -No inflation -Steady rise in value -Numerous other items...

That is part of what makes Uno unique in my book. Even if someone was to dump it down, it is a much shorter path to recovery. Certainly not a death sentence like it is to some coins. A lot of that comes from those who are active in the coin

A partuclarly active core community is unique in the alts as well.
When i say active I mean 'active'. GAW's mass of cultists may be actively/vocally supportive but they don't account for much more than chanting.

with my hashrate I pull approx .01 btc in 24 hours if good blocks are found. Uno suffers from low hashrate I gather so I am wondering why I would mine UNO directly instead of btc and buy UNO.

Dawn: "The dollar’s strength is hurting bitcoin like all other commodities as well as the flight to safety, which was mentioned above. So is the rise of the Shanghai Index and China’s attempts to stimulate its domestic economy. The Bitstamp issues are certainly not helping either." http://cointelegraph.com/news/113267/the-drum-beat-of-deflation-is-growing-louder-the-intermarket-picture@ 'Core-tanium'/Bitcoin National: okay!! I always start with smallest, simplest version, and then we develop it together. My knowledge of the technology here is very bad! @ Zelig: I try not to over-post. Check indiamikezulu.com.au PM me any time. @ Bitcoin's price: this is the very first time I've seen crypto prices directly discussed as being affected by the general global economic situation. Remember when we were tryin' to figure out why bullion was dropping in price as oil and iron ore were dropping in price? It's a crazy stupid idea to me, but here it is mentioned again: 'one-commodiity-down-all-commodities-down.' This should greatly reassure us. It explains (in some small part) why cryptos are down, and we are sure they will 'break out' when things get just a bit weirder. m

What's more, the Cryptsy wallet dropped again...now under 47K. I wonder if we killed all the small wallets and now all withdrawals are done out of the big fella?
That wallet is the only unknown in the Unoverse. It's a great feeling to begin chipping away at it!

Cracked the superwallet! Here we go. When it's empty or close to it we are going to the moon and never come back with my hashrate I pull approx .01 btc in 24 hours if good blocks are found. Uno suffers from low hashrate I gather so I am wondering why I would mine UNO directly instead of btc and buy UNO.
Ideally you mine it and buy it at the same time. These prices could be gone for good soon. It's not going to become more pletiful than it is right now.

Bitcoin on the way down for 12 months+ , Uno on the way up for 6 months+ Soon they going to cross. Bitcoin needs to be converted to not risk loosing, Uno can be left relatively unattended - that's the difference. Don't know, maybe someone else has an even better answer.

My condolences, SgtMoth. It's not just the actual $ loss. It's the potential of the coins, the time you spent developing the community, the negative impact these events have on cryptos. Sure would like your thoughts on the 'unhackable' exchange we're workin' on ( https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=757232.0) When I first trialled an 'in-house exchange' -- Un-Ex is the fifth that IndiaMikeZulu has tried -- people just ignored us . . . but not any more. m

It's always creeps me out to see their name starts with COINTEL. Pretty much gives confirmation who is really behind the suppression of cryptos with hords of hacker contractors around the world. Lock stock and barrel? - I wish people would wake up to this: The hackers are controlled by the governments which are controlled by the banker cabal. - I wouldn't put much credence in that FUD, but that's just me. All JIMHO.
