This coin up is 127% is the past 24 hours so something seems sketchy.
MobileGo is next highest in the last 24 hours up 20% which seems more reasonable.
I dont want to call this coin a pump n dump, but for potential investors can someone explain why the sudden rise in price?

It is not up 127% cryptopia AND bleutrade markets are offline, someone punched the ETH market sky high, given the top 8 markets are offline an easy feat to clear the books on one of the lighter traded market books.

In reality UNO is holding @$60-$70 yet lightly traded until the cryptopia situation clears up.

After that is all settled I would suggest minimal exchange deposits spread on each exchange (we have 5).

Also maybe focus large bids on BISQ since it is a DEX.

Are you sure four3200? Volume on ETH pair was 11 ETH, volume on BTC pair was 18,5 BTC

@CrystalSufir

Yes it was a spike move, but taking advantage of the limited markets allowed the spike.

Since cryptopia is down and out it was an ez move.

$UNO spot is slowly adjusting given the major books are offline, and 5 ton are held there, so there's that.
*I have diminishing hope that cryptopia will honorably right their ship, but I also think 4/5ths of the on deposit there are cryptopia's, 2 accounts each had 2k of uno for ages, no respectable UNO hodlr would store such on an exchange, hence in house holdings, mind you UNO was once a base currency earned as fees for them  Wink

DEX is the big vision and I think $UNO can be integral towards that direction for all classic crypto projects.

I use CryptoBridge, I'm not sure is it as decentralized as BISQ but It's better than any other I have used. Shoud we appear with Unobtanium on CryptoBridge? It's easy to use and it works fine.

THE (a) VALUE of UNO
[one of them  Wink]

I think this community CAN (should) and WILL focus on the DEX dev space.

DEX dev space
*AFAIK

BLOCKnet
UNITY (nxt camp)
Bridge (BTS camp)
WAVES
BISQ
NETcoins https://www.gonetcoins.com/otc/

All are "do able DEX", the question is adoption.

Case in point I launched a WAVES asset that is backed by 9 kilos of UNO.

[read UNO pegged token - stable value to UNO 1:1]

It can/could/it is working, but the failure point is me, so yes it works but it still takes a intermediary (me) to make it work.  Thus 3rd party trust problem. So it exists as a experiment, I still back it but I know it is by no means a "DEX".  But if many 'trusted' members of UNO community do some multi-sig stuff, it gains more creditably.

That said I don't 100% like any of the above models.

This is still thought experiment, then real world testnet, then actual adoption usage stuff, WE DO IT LIVE!!!  Cheesy

For DEX I don't think we are there yet, but fostering discussion within the UNO community of best practice solutions for DEX is a time worthy goal.

Why?  Because UNO is time-tested, high HASH, and rare. [read SoV].  More importantly that is the consensus, it is just a SHA256 AUX block chain, no more  bells and whistles needed.  The CODE is very hard-coded.

UNO matters for value, but the risk of rarity is housing the asset in the custody of 3rd parties.
(we have a long history of surviving this issue, but time has clearly illustrated that it is time to DEX not CEX)

--
TLDR;
Yes, Bridge listing is a worthy endeavor if it can be funded and dev can implement.  I don't know the specs required.  But if HF is needed, nope Grin

Cryptobridge looks good.  It's not a "true" Dex situation, tho.  Cryptobridge is built on Bitshares.  They are a gateway in/out of Bitshare.  So we would have bt.Uno which is paired 1:1 to Uno.  As the gateway, Cryptobridge would be responsible for securing and fulfilling bt.Uno<>Uno.

They charge 3 btc for a listing, and expect you to trade .25 BTC each day or they may de-list.

I wouldn't say no to a listing on CryptoBridge, but I'm hoping the UNO community can do better.

BlockDX holds a lot of potential, as you can build different market pairs, and the coins stay in your control,  and no KYC.

I really like Bisq.network.  I wish we could get a core group on Bisq to trade UNO.  I try to keep a few orders there but trades are rare.  If more people got involved in Bisq, I know we could make a good market there.

I absolutely wish Bleutrade well. UNO has been on Bleutrade for 5 years.  However, I'm hearing from people with funds locked at Bleutrade who are very concerned and not getting replies.

Bleutrade is a regulated exchange in Malta. The entire point of regulation is that you should be able to reach out to Malta authorities to share your concerns.

100%, I want Bleutrade to be safe and successful, but also to respond to concerned customers. Its our hope that UNO will be listed at Bleutrade for many more years to come.  I'm glad that Bleutrade has chosen to become a regulated exchange. Its our hope that  inquiries through the Maltese regulatory framework will not be necessary.

I would like Bleutrade be the primary exchange for UNO, it has BTC,ETH,DOGE,$ pairs, and 5 years of history.

Unobtanium "the Blue stuff" likes the Bleutrade, we go way back and we are co-branded Wink

I saw the UNO wallet was "frozen" for the whole of last week, but yesterday the UNO market resumed.

I can withdraw other coins no issue, very fast processing.
However, when withdrawing UNO gets stuck in 'pending'.

And as Knife mentions above the communication channels do not inspire confidence.

Bleutrade is missing a major window in time with cryptopia in the dumps to gain some solid status in the ALT.market space.

<sad face/>

A Maltese based crypto house stands to be a Titian if only minor improvements where met.

1.  Keeping the UNO client up and running (average windows users have not a problem doing this); yet an exchange locks up for +10 days.

2.  Actual secure support communication lines, the nonfunctional whitelable offsite zendesk is not professional nor secure.

3.  KYC/AML when the customers have no details on who or where the Bleutrade officers are.  Tit for tat on KYC.

Centralized exchanges continue to implode without warning.  UNO has been part of more failed exchanges than I care to remember.

I'm here to challenge you to say "No More!!"  No more Uno stolen from exchanges like Cryptsy. No more waiting for 100 or more blocks for coins to be deposited into wallets.  No more delayed withdrawals.  No more account 'lock outs'.  No more KYC.  No more begging and paying to be listed.  Fuck all that.

The past couple of months I've been experimenting with a true decentralized exchange, BlockDX.  A true Dex keeps you in control of your keys. It doesn't swap your valuable Unobtanium for some shit proxy coin. It doesn't allow an exit scam opportunity for the gateway exchanging the real Uno for fake Uno.

UNO has such an exchange available to it right now, and you can start trading on it today.  There are small buy/sell orders for UNO on BlockDX that will let you get started today.

Take the FK Challenge

I challenge you to make a small UNO trade on BlockDX today so you can experience for yourself what true trading freedom is.

What you will need:
 UNO qt wallet from https://Unobtanium.uno
BLOCK qt wallet (v 3.12.1) https://blocknet.co/block-dx/
BLOCK DX software (1.0.0)  https://blocknet.co/block-dx/

Sync your wallets first.
Place a little Uno into your Uno wallet.
Put a little Block into your block wallet (if I know you, PM me your Block addy and I'll send you a little dust to get started).
Start BlockDX software and follow the prompts to add Block and Unobtanium as trading coins.

Your UNO and Block wallets will need to be unlocked to trade or place trades.
To unlock your UNO QT wallet you will need to go to the Console and type:    walletpassphrase  yourPassphrase  1000000
That will unlock your wallet for a million seconds so you don't have to think about it for awhile.

Place your first trade.  If you have any trouble, let me know.

i totally agree with you. trading on a proper DEX is the best solution for all the reasons you mentioned above.
i have been around since a while as well and yeah so many exchanges fell or did a runner.
i will have a look at blockDX then... i am always up for new DEXperiences Wink

We might need to promote a fun run at BiSQ.  Liquidity is null.  I tried to do it but lack the discipline/time to load the BiSQ daily and then never see trades happen.

So propose a let's all do BiSQ in the spring, say concentrate on the weekends of March Madness?

current supply 199,979 UNO
https://chainz.cryptoid.info/uno/

Approaching 200 Ton milestone  Cool

if you're HODL'n 10kg or more by year 2020, you'll be sitting on the rich list of tomorrowland;
10kg of UN is like holding 100btc

The key to Unobtanium is holding reserves in the base market coins:
BTC
ETH
LTC
doge
USDT

This idea is to store your base market coins VALUE in the blue stuff (why? low inflation, rare, superHash).
UNO is proving the best chain to HODL in the bear market.  Everything else has lost +80% from ATH, UNO is only down 50%, and looking to retrace ATH quicker than the rest.

Sometime ago UNO was a dime to 1 Litecoin, then the community set a target of LTC:UNO parity.  It took a few market cycles and today 2 Litecoins will buy you 1 UNOkg.  Next target is ETH parity, and coming soon too, ETH has inflation UNO has not.  And the community is also establishing higher and higher BTC support levels.  It looks like 0.01 btc is a historic foot note, and we built up out of years trading 0.002-0.008.  Today UNO has hit 0.05 highwater, a btc nickle, and has claimed a solid 0.02 footing. USDT wise uno is marching towards the $100 bedrock value.  And may have claimed the 40,000 doge / kg level as terra firma territory.

UNO also gives you spiderman like reflexes on the base market coins movements, stronger, faster, richer, you will be Cool

In the future it would be nice to establish a few more base markets, I like the following:

EOS, BcH, BSv, DASH just because of their largess in market cap.  Other than their general mass popularity appeal, I can not recommend holding longer than a fortnight cycle.
.
But my best suggestion is to court XMR, ZEC, GRIN, Komodo, ZCL and perhaps Verge for direct market pairing.

I hear from a little bird that Steem and Golos may be a means to P2P OTC on a high TPS chain;)

Also there exists a XRP pairing on NLGexchange?  But no one in campUNO seems to care to hold Zerpple exposure Grin

Last but not least, looking to 2022 and beyond, >>> Classic Crypto Coins

I like all of the survivors that showed up between 2012-2015.  Yes most of them suffered from FOMO and too much expectations, and far outranked marketcap to little UNO, back then.  But who stands tall now?  Cheesy

Actually all of this Class that stayed classy, I like.  There are numerous projects that have built decentralized, nobody is really in charge, networks that have stood 4, 5, 6, 7 years of making consensus blocks.  UNO stands to be a rally camp for these projects, and we should aim to help create tools that keep them going, primarily capital.  But also reputable exchanges, reputable dev pools, reputable block explorer projects, and current issue at hand let's build the DEX.net.  Remember UNO was once a base coin, it can be again Wink  At least for the OG bitcoin code base projects that are still hanging tough!
